Fairly well laid out airport. Upon arrival yesterday from Finland we had a funky exit, some took the rear exit with steps down to a bus, the other passengers exited as normal through the front forward gate only to exit down stairs to waiting buses. I assume this was for border control but it made no sense. Today's access as we stated overnight to catch an AM Flight meant border control for passports once the F gate was announced about 2 hours before departure. In general airport is clean, plenty of restrooms. Very limited on chairs at Checkin which is much diff from larger US airports as well as few seats by the actual gates. There were two very convenient hotels within comfortable walking distance under cover as well as a train station.

Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about Oslo airport. The layout is super simple compared to a lot of other airports, and it's not too big that if you have a short layover you wouldn't make it in time. Prices everywhere are actually a lot cheaper than some airport. Staff were all pretty friendly and the security was a breeze.

One of the best airports in terms of comfort, efficiency, and design (Scandinavian wooden theme throughout). Transferred here from a domestic Norwegian flight to an international flight to Hungary, and really enjoyed our time here. No need for any airline lounge, because the airport itself was so pleasant and not overly crowded. We actually left the secured area of the terminal to go into the arrival lobby in order to enjoy the Wagamama there (see my photos). We had no issue going through security again (very pleasant) to catch our flight. That along speaks highly of an airport. Good luck trying this at LAX. As you can see in my photos, there's this very elegant and welcoming information desk with organ pipes hanging from the ceiling. There are power outlets everywhere (no need to fight). Every seat is a comfortable seat. The public space is surrounded by the warmth of wood. There's a Two Tigers, a place to pick up sushi and noodles. How civilized! Fresh sashimi for the flight. Simply awesome And the Wagamama is topnotch, with Norwegian inflections. They've got plenty of booths. You order at the counter, and they bring the food over. Loved everything. Their Tokyo fries are quite good.

Good vibes all around at Oslo airport. Aside from the exterior of the airport which has trash and cigarettes, the interior is delightful. The airport is laid out nicely: it's quite expansive with high curved ceiling, wooden flooring, glass accents, and an array of shops. Oslo airport is not too large, and there is plenty of space which makes navigation easier. While there isn't a tremendous amount of dining opportunities, what they do have is great. The duty free shop could easily be its own terminal. Highly recommend.

Clean, friendly, easy to navigate- great airport. We got here early, because we had a lounge pass, and our hotel had an early check out. We enjoyed the Starbucks- bought some Oslo souvenir mugs, of course. Prices were reasonable. I also shopped at the duty free for snacks, chocolate and souvenirs for friends. It was easy getting to our gate. Security was tight- there had been an incident in Oslo the morning that we left- so I assume we experienced higher than average security levels at the airport, but it was efficient.

Oslo airport is a fairly solid airport with limited options due to it's small size. We were on one of the only flights the day we arrived so it was completely deserted. It is a very good looking airport with wood grain everywhere and also very clean. Security was pretty quick and we had no issues navigating the airport. If you're due a tax refund from Global Blue the booth is all the way on the right side of the departures are before you pass through security, it took us all of 5 minutes to get it processed. Duty free prices seemed solid on champagne and some liquors, most the wine didn't seem especially well priced. If you're flying to the UK you'll need to go through passport control and on the other side there's only a small shop and bar so do all your shopping beforehand. We took the FlyToGet from the airport to the city center which was a nice experience, you can skip the long lines at the ticket kiosks and slide your credit card directly at the ticket gates. Norway is one of the countries which allow you to purchase duty free when flying into the country unlike the US. I highly recommend grabbing alcohol at the duty free shop you pass through on the way to baggage claim as the prices are much better than what you'll find in Oslo. read more

Oslo aiport loses points for it's delays at passport control on arrival. I have flown in here on many occasions and rarely are there any more than two officers on duty. A whole plane load then queues for 20 minutes to get through the control. That said, the airport is spotlessly clean, good connections to the city with regular but expensive trains. Queues for duty free on arrival are horrendous as well, with home coming Norwegians getting their cheap booze! read more

The lady at the train-service sold me the wrong ticket, which of course was non-refundable.. It shouldn't be that hard understanding "express train". Thanks but no thanks. I recommend staying away from the customer reps as they clearly do not speak or understand English. read more

The airport is exceptionally clean, easy to navigate and features a variety of dining and shopping options. Not only is it a fun airport to wander in, but the security was extremely efficient. One of the nicer airports I've experienced during my experience in Europe. read more
Oslo Lufthaven was a very easy to navigate and friendly airport. Getting checked in and through security was all a breeze. There were plenty of options for food and everything seemed very well maintained. The free wifi was a nice touch as well! read more

Yeah let me tell you how they're lost and found service is the most frustrating piece of garbage I've ever seen. I lost my phone right before the flight and I know they have it because they announced it on the plan as we were leaving. I email them once I landed expecting a timely reply. Nope, I get an email telling me to put in some service request with Missing X hours later, not even an automatic reply, just a copy and paste. So I look on the system, put in a request, and check it a few days after, and nothing, I don't even see a phone that matches mine. So I call the lost and found office and I don't even get to talk to someone, I just get this shitty automatic voice telling me to email them saying they'll call back once there's an available person. BUT I NEVER EVEN GET A FUCKING CALL BACK AND I JUST GET THE SAME EMAIL SAYING I SHOULD PUT IN A REQUEST AT MISSING X!!! DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY WORK IN THE LOST AND FOUND OFFICE! This is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced, and I've been on the phone with Comcast for hours. read more

Beautiful airport , we did fly out from Amsterdam The Netherlands and come in Oslo, what a difference ! Very nice place , many choice in food and shops! Nice design ! read more
Really cool layout. Very crisp and clean designs - there are tons of dining and shopping options. It may be a little difficult getting around. But, just having a smile and being understanding and patient will work wonders. It's not the biggest airport but it is the easiest to walk around and has generally speaking, an overall clean and positive ambiance. Keep in mind, you're in Norway so typically everything is done with their currency. Just say that you have USD and they'll change the pricing appropriately for your currency. read more

Just a tip: The NSB train is cheaper and almost as fast as the Airport Express train (Flytoget) if you catch the direct train. It doesn't depart as often, but if you can choose from NSB and Flytoget - go with NSB. read more

This is a good airport. Everything is very efficient and smooth running. Duty free section is just like anywhere else, but has an ok selection of goods. The local train is much cheaper the the airport express and almost as fast to get you to Oslo S (Oslo Central Station) read more

What is it with this airport? We weren't even staying in the country and we had to wait in at least three 30 minute-plus lines. One to check passports on the way in, another security line, another passport line and then another line on the way to the gate. All were also extremely hot. It was frustrating enough by itself, but we also got to do this with a small child who was going out of her mind. I don't understand, is there something wrong with the standard system that all other airports in the world use? Also, there were nowhere near enough places to sit for all the people in the airport and all the teeny tiny restaurants were slammed. Yes, the airport is pretty, but it is also a pretty miserable experience. read more
This is a great airport! It was very easy to check in, get through security and find the gates. The waiting areas are very comfortable and relatively quiet. On time arrival and departure. No problems!! Plenty of shopping too if you like the Norwegian cost of living. ;) read more

Oslo AirPort needs a upgrade. I really hope that the new terminal will give the passagers a better service alternative. The good thing is that its small, so its easy to find everything! read more

Be careful if you have late plane(after 23.00), you risk ending up stranded at the airport. There are very few or non options on buses or trains in the evening. Then the option are paying a fortune on a taxi. read more

Love how clean the oslo airport is and the bars near the boarding gates. Shopping is ok and their duty free is actually cheaper than other european airports (their chanel perfumes is cheaper!) but their free wifi is bad. I have been transiting in solo a few times but never once got the wifi to work. Bullocks read more

Nice airport. Always crowded, which is a good economic indicator for the Norwegians. Liqueur, liqueur, liqueur...

Beautiful and efficiently run airport with a good mix use of personnel and computers in the airport. They have everything from dining to shopping except the prices are way out of the norm compared to other Eu cities I've been. read more

Very uncomfortable and limited seating, expensive bars and cafes. Normally I use business lounges but here you need to either have good SAS loyalty credentials or Scandinavian Amex Platinum. Even Amex staff advertising Amex Platinum cards at the airport said I could use my UK Platinum card but that turned out to be wrong. Couldn't use Priority Pass either. Altogether, an airport to be avoided at all costs. read more

Omg. If you happen to have a 30-45 mins layover and need to switch btw an international flight and a local flight, you better be ready to run for your life once you step out of the first place and head towards the second one especially if you're at the end of the international terminal and need to go to any of the 19A-19E(?) gates. Seriously, it almost felt like running a marathon last time I was there. On the other hand if you've got a long layover and have an international flight, you should check out the duty free store which is quite big and nice. Enjoy! read more

This is a airport with many shops and restaurants. We looked for a mailbox after arriving, but there is only a book shop which collected them and will send it for you. But this service is excellent, I think - my cards arrived quickly. In the area of the gates are not enough places to sit down. read more

Terrible airport. Bad, unfriendly information workers who misdirect travelers, even threaten them with arrest, demanding they leave the airport and return even when they are simply taking a domestic flight to another Norway destination. Hey, Avinor, get a clue! Meanwhile, Copenhagen is a better airport, especially for transfer passengers like me. Goodbye, Oslo! read more
Internationak disorganized, at least for Norwegian Air. But at least transfers don't have to go through another security check on the way out. On the inbound (US to Europe) had to go through another round of security. read more

For an airport it is very easy to navigate. It is very clean and an enjoyable environment. The many shops make for a great adventure. The modern style of the airport makes it look nice and very practical. The security and baggage check is also a very quick process. Having automated baggage check is very easy. But at security make sure to remove cameras and large electronics. As an avid traveler this may be one of the better airports I've been to. read more
Sorry to sound mean, but yours truly has been to countless airports and this place doesn't even come close to a good one. We took multiple flights in and out of here during our time in Scandinavia and we had to deal with delays, gate changes, and rude/confusing staff. Our journey out of here on the last day was absolute hell. We had come off of an SAS flight from Copenhagen and were doing a five-hour layover in Oslo before heading to Reyjavik and then NYC. When we got off the plane, we were ushered to the wrong security checkpoint. They let us through and insisted we go to the SAS service desk, even though our next two flights were through IcelandAir. The service desk took our passports away from us for a solid 15 minutes and then told us to go through passport control (wrong) to get to gate 46 (wrong again). When we realized there was no gate 46 where they had put us, they told us gate 46 was really 56, but "only sometimes." They also swore they had taken care of our luggage even though we were changing airlines. My bullshit meter immediately went off when they mentioned this, but still, the staff said not to worry about the luggage. Thank god we had a long layover because we went on a manhunt for our luggage and found it circling the belt. It would have never made it back to NYC with us if we hadn't gone to go get it, just like we thought. A staff member brushed us off when we complained. They tried to place the blame on "those Danes" instead of taking responsibility for the problems they caused us. Our issues had nothing to do with the airport in Copenhagen and everything to do with Gardermoen. Bottom line: steer clear of this place unless you enjoy migraines. read more

Sunday Aug 25, 2019. Signage poor for car rental return. Had to exit car at departure terminal and ask how to get there. Hertz agent indicated that signage difficulty was not uncommon and some people drove around for an hour trying to find it. Hertz apparently lodged complains about that with the airport to no avail I was told. Inside terminal, signage was lacking as to any airline counter location. Had to ask. Norwegian Air check in counter had no lines at all. However, as soon as we approached it, we were "interviewed" by security as to how we got to the airport, where we have been, etc. Numerous gates A-F in terminal. Airport departure board indicated gate assignment would be posted 2 hours before takeoff. It wasn't. Rushed from lunch to Gate F16 from Gate A only to find a long line for passport control. Got through that in about 30 minutes. At gate F16, about 100 yards from passport control, there was another passport control line which took about 45 minutes. Again, we were "interviewed" about who had control of our luggage, etc. We have never experienced this fiasco in decades of international travel through 6 continents and a domestic terrorism red alert at LAX. read more

yes, it is clean, but made to be as confusing as possible. Signs to the lounge are as inconspicuous as possible, and once you go through passport control to the international gates, you are STUCK, with no access to anything. read more
Beautiful airport and nicely run. Flew in and out of here and good experiences both times. I was grateful with how many people spoke perfect english and the people working the duty free area were very nice (and thank you to the lady who said I looked like I was 18! you made my day ^-^). Downstairs is the arrival and upstairs are departures if i remember correctly. Downstairs is convenient because buses are right outside and to the side is the train. They have atm and currency exchange ready and some stores/7-eleven and a bookstore, and what not. Upstairs they have lots of shopping and restaurants to spend time in if you get their early, i particularly remember the rotating sushi places. Security is a little slow but thats fine with me, as long as they don't lose my luggage thats what i really cared about (i can't tell you how many times its happen to me -_-- bad luck lol). But yeah, very pretty airport, convenient transportation nearby/right there lol, shopping, yeah, can't complain. Just wish baggage check in and security was faster and less line waiting. read more

The main International Airport serving Oslo )) , the capital of and most populous city in Norway! And home to one of the the most innovative airlines in the industry Norwegian ASA, all brand new B787 Dreamliner fleet, high fuel saving economy with excellent Scandinavian service and international crew. Oslo Airport is the main domestic hub and international airport in Norway, and is the second-busiest airport in the Nordic countries. The lay out is beautiful, as it is very chic with wooden accents all through out the terminals. Almost 26 million passengers traveled through the airport in 2017, making it the nineteenth-busiest airport in Europe. A hub for Scandinavian Airlines, an operating base for Norwegian Air Shuttle, it connects to 31 domestic and about 128 international destinations. Go to Norway with Norwegian you will love it! read more
