They use contracted medical staff that don't know patients' medical history. Meals were worse than school lunches; tiny amounts, loaded with carbs, not to dietary/nutritional requirements and lukewarm temp, at best. Our friend was placed there after surgery to recover and resume independent living. He suffered physical pain that was repeatedly ignored, lost a severe % of muscle mass and became malnourished. Even at his worst, they demanded monthly out-of-pocket costs of $10,000 ($350/day) UP-FRONT. A reputable facility will bill you or your insurance. The only positive mention here is some of the caring staff who did their best in spite of their burden of being understaffed. Everything was very accessible for wheelchairs, walkers and loading and unloading by the front door. The receptionists at the front desk were always warm and welcoming. Great physical therapy program, but they are tough on you. But, they have to be! Also no worries about people stealing your possessions in this facility. She's been to other facilities where they will steal anything if it's not bolted down! Cons: The only con was the varying wake up time between 4:30 - 5:30 a.m. in order to be up and ready for breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Even if you need assistance getting ready, the hurry up and wait is pretty ridiculous! It's understandable that the staff have a schedule to go by, but c'mon now! Other than that, my Mom says she was treated like a VIP there! Thanks for taking such great care of my Mom, guys! The main issue I had is that your time is shared with another person. I needed 100% PT time. Luna Physical Therapy offers individual PT in your house. Many of the exercises are devised from things you have in your home, stairs, chairs, walls, etc. I purchased a chair elliptical machine to help in my progress. Any concerns or questions you have are also addressed immediately. It's been a such a positive experience for me that I told my doctor about Luna. He is nearing the end of his PT and I wanted to leave this Yelp review on how fantastic the entire Cleveland Clinic PT team have been! They logged his needs, any concerns, progress and next steps. Throughout the process, they made it easy for an 85 year old and his caregivers. He was diligent about doing the work and after 6 weeks, he is moving around pretty well. He will continue to add to his repertoire. His progress is obviously due to his hard work, and the follow up care provided. Highly recommend this Physical Therapy Team!!
