We chose this place to try for dinner as it was a block away from Vivoli (a gelato spot) that we had to go to again for our last night in Florence. This restaurant was actually pretty good and reasonable. It was sort of a nondescript spot on a street corner but looked like it lively so figured we'd give it a try. We walked in and were seated quickly. As pizza looked like a good choice - we ordered a margarita pie for €7 and a panzanella salad for €12 and stuck with water. Pizza was actually quite large and had excellent flavor and a very good crust! I have had panzanella salad before but never before was the bread mixture so mushy and crushed up. I thought it was beans at first! However, it was actually delicious and a really good meal, served alongside a flatbread and pickled veggies. The salad may have been better than the pizza! All in all - a nice quick, casual meal with some great dishes!

Great bar area with wine, beer or liquor! Loved my G&T and Negroni!

Great service, great pizza and great cocktails! Very casual and everyone spoke some English.

We stumbled into this spot while actually searching for a different restaurant and we are sure glad we did! It was a bit late for dinner but they took us in immediately and were so friendly considering they were getting ready to close. We ordered 2 pastas and a pizza & we mentioned it was our friends birthday they brought us our dessert on the house! Amazing experience- if you're ever in Florence, this place is a must

Cheese and spinach ravioli - so delicious!

Delicious food and atmosphere! Stopped in for late lunch. All 4 of us loved the pastas! The ravioli was memorable. Beautiful restaurant and nice friendly service. Definitely recommend !

This was probably the best restaurant experience my girlfriends and I have ever had. First trip to Florence and we stumbled into this place because of the attractive wine cellar we could see from the street. We arrived at 7pm and were the first party to arrive for dinner. We were given the utmost perfect attention and provided the greatest service. The butcher had such an amazing personality and brought his magazine article to our table to read. We then realized the special gem we had embarked upon. I will recommend this amazing establishment to everyone I know who travels to Florence and explain they MUST make this a stop on their journey! Oh and by the way...ask for the wine cellar tour in the basement which contains bottles dated from the 1950's.

Food & charming interior outweighs the indifferent staff. Tomato mozzarella salad here was the best I've ever had, bar none. Good value.

The owner and staff were fantastic, very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. The wine bar itself is a small quaint little place. Probably seats about 12 to 15 people total and has plenty of windows so you can see passersby and people watch. The cheeseboard? Get the cheeseboard. They do a fantastic job of pairing everything together to really bring so many flavors to your tastebuds. Their house wine is phenomenal and they take great pride in finding the grapes/different varietals to make it come to life. They have a both a red and a white house wine option. The second time we went - and yes, we went more than once in the four days we were there - we enjoyed one of the sandwiches and it was absolutely amazing. The bread, I can't even explain, the bread it's so flavorful and so good and so light. That paired with the delicious meats and cheeses were 100% worth it. I definitely recommend this location to anybody who is visiting Florence regularly or for their first time.

There is seating inside for maybe a dozen people but we chose to sit at one of the 3 small tables outside to enjoy the nice weather. Draft beer was $6 euro and the mixed drinks varied from $8-12 euro. We met Alycia who is one of the owners. She was very pleasant and friendly. We stopped for a drink and stayed for 3 hours. We also stopped for a 2nd happy hour on our last day in Florence. Worth checking out if you happen to be in town and want a quieter spot. We loved it.

The outside signs are all about the wine tasting and that was something I was not interested in. None of my group was actually into that either but they didn't want to wait to sit at the place we meant to go and this place had availability at that moment. We sat at the large wine barrel table at the front door because there were 4 of us and I felt a way since I was told to make sure not to block other guests. Then why put us here? I'm getting even more mad. Thankfully, I was completely wrong. Once we sat and one of the lovely sisters came to speak with us, I knew this was going to be a good time. They both were so gracious and knowledgeable, but also friendly and super funny. We didn't get the wine tasting but I heard them giving the people behind us one and I actually think I would have enjoyed it as well. The cocktails we did get were strong and delicious. With hosts like these, I'd come back here all the time.

November 9, 2024 2:30PM…read more It does appear they have two stalls on the same street that you can order from. One side seemed to have more alcohol on display and the side I was on was more sandwich focused, but I'm pretty sure you can order the same things from both windows. Initially I was going to get the 21 - Fresh Sausage and Eggplant because I'm an eggplant lover... the lady at the counter was kind enough to let me know that the fresh sausage is actually rare, uncooked sausage and gave me a small piece to try. I was getting ready to get on a train that day and didn't want something that might not sit well with me, so I moved on to number 27 spicy salami and cream cheese. My partner got the number 1, ham, cream cheese and rocket salad. Both are very good sized and oh so delicious. The line moved quickly, so many options for decision paralysis. This is the place for schiacciate Florentine as recommended from friends who used to live here. Definitely would recommend to study up their menu before coming so it's easier to pick what you want. This is more of a stall and you grab and go, we stood around the sidewalk and inhaled our sandwiches. Watch out for the pigeons getting ready to take your crumbs too, you can see them on the ledge of the building getting ready to attack. A must visit for Florence.

The roasted ham is tasty and the truffle cream adds a lovely flavor and ties the dish together. Finocchiona E Crema De Formaggio- Can't sing enough of their bread's praises! The tuscan salami is spicy and flavorful. The fennel is slightly sweet and the cream cheese is smooth and light. Great experience overall!
