Nothing special going on here but 10 year Olds skating and a couple middle aged men trying to show off to there wife's. Pizza is ok for a place like this. Lots of staff to help your kids when they fall.

Went to Skate America in Grove City and don't ever plan on going back. Their parking lot is small,…read moregravel, and has many holes. This is a very small facility; I've never seen a smaller roller rink. There should have been a cap of how many people allowed in, because it made skating and just moving around inside so difficult. Everything looks at least 30-40 years old here, our booth was wobbly and unstable. The carpet was old and stained. It was very challenging to move around on the carpeted areas, but also the rink, due to the extreme number of people in the building. I felt like I was in a packed bar or club. I can't overstate that there were way too many people and children. The rink itself is painted concrete, which I've never seen before. It is somewhat uneven, you can feel the small rises and falls in the concrete, but it's not too severe. There were A LOT of children with the little PVC skate-aid things, but skating as an adult was made extremely challenging & nearly impossible because of this. The music they played was fun, and there was some interactions from the DJ, like a backwards skate only, and "all girls only skate," and then "all boys only skate," for a song each. I did like that there are ceiling fans over the rink, to cool you down. The ceiling felt really low, which I think made the whole place feel even smaller. The bathrooms were pretty clean and well stocked, but I didn't like that there were no hooks on the bathroom stall doors. They did let me bring my water bottle in, which I appreciated. There were lockers, but we didn't rent one. Overall, this place is probably fine if you're a kid, but terrible if your an adult skater looking to skate. Go to United Skates or America on Refugee instead!!

I had my daughters 6th birthday party at Skate Zone 71 and Miya was my attendant/server. She was…read moresuper accommodating to us. She provided a smile and was attentive. The party included a kids table set up with plates napkins and a table cloth some soda and pizza. The pepporoni pizza was pretty good for a skating rink. Miya did real well hosting especially since it seemed she was responsible for multiple party's on her own. We waited maybe an hour for pizza, allowing guests to skate a nice amount before eating. Miya also helped light the candles and hand out pieces of the cake. I would book another party here for sure.

Kid K's school had an event here, not private, but a school skate on a Saturday morning. Along with many other groups. You've seen the place along 71, relatively easy to get to, big parking lot packed with cars. I've never been because I didn't grow up here and it's overwhelmingly a kid's place, but I know it's been here forever. Easy check-in (I bought tickets online through the school event site,) and great service at the ticket counter and at the skate one. Easy to get skates, free wrist pads, and $5 for "walker" thingies for beginners to lean on while learning (very helpful, wish they'd had them when I was a kid and coulda used one when I had knee surgery.) I loved to rollerskate when younger, and even did it a few times as an adult, but that was 30 years and 2 knee replacements ago. So, we brought along a high-school age family member to help K. I helped some on the carpet, and you can walk on the rink in shoes so I did some of that too. K loved it, even put up with the falls (which are just a normal part of learning, of course.) Hanging out with friends, listening to music, and learning a little on her first time skating. The place is clean, there are plenty of places to sit, there's snacks (for outrageous prices,) there's laser tag and arcade games and other entertainment. The noise is overwhelming. Not from the kids, really- from the PA. Music was loud enough you have to yell to talk. And then the announcements... Loud and distorted and almost painful. Really awful. Bring earplugs. Not kidding. My ears are still sore from the assault. But, look: kids will have fun. Eat before and after. There is a drinking fountain so they will survive. Definitely use the pads and walkers, and wear cushy pants. Bring earplugs. Enjoy a little nostalgia. And look forward to the time they announce that your skating session is over.

I have seen staff inform consumers that masks and 6feet spacing is required. There are not only signage everywhere you turn but the staff are continually cleaning and making sure the rules are enforced. I am at the rink for hockey 3-5 times a week between practice games and open skate. Thank you Chiller Staff for all your hard work keeping the facilities running safely so our kiddos can still have their season. As for the Chiller Easton I would rank the ice arena in our top 15. There are two sheets of ice, actual dressing rooms, a small concession stand and room for viewing above and around the ice rink. There is even conference rooms to rent out for parties and such. And the biggest plus the Chiller is open year round! Need somewhere to cool off during the summer months this is the place!

The Ice Haus is a very nice rink attached to Nationwide Arena where the Jackets practice. If you're…read moreever at an event in NW, you can see the ice from the North side of the arena and will probably see St. Charles or Upper Arlington high schools practicing there in the Winter. The Blue Jackets also allow the public to come in on certain days and see their morning skate sessions, which is pretty cool. Since the place only has one rink, public skating is pretty limited, but they do offer after school skating on Fridays as well as late night adult skate on Saturday nights for anyone in the area looking to get on the ice. Occasionally they have drop-in hockey, mainly during the off season, but they do offer a pretty competitive drop-in hockey early Friday mornings (if you can wake up and get there by 6 am). The facility offers skate sharpening and all the basic provisions that the other Chillers have, but they don't have a pro shop here, so don't expect to purchase any equipment (minus hockey tape). It really is a great ice to skate on, especially since it's the only rink in Columbus that provides natural lighting, and when they offer up more public skates in the Summer, I highly suggest checking it out.
