This is probably the best ice rink in town, mainly because it's the newest. Most of the Chiller facilities are pretty nice, and the ice surface is pretty great. This one in particular has a good pro shop in comparison to the one at Easton, but for the serious skater/hockey player, you're probably going to want to check out Hockey Stop on Bethel R or the new Perani's at Polaris. It looks like they offer lots of different private lessons, and they have a few off ice skating machines that can help those just starting out. I've heard rumors that they have enough land to expand the place and add an additional rink, and if they do that, it'll be the only three-rink complex in town. Overall, it's definitely worth checking it out, especially if you or your kids really want to learn how to skate.

Love that they added the 3rd rink and extra locker rooms. This opens up play time for the many leagues and general public. Great to have extra seating in the upper warm areas and the couch area on the main level. Parking is never and issue here and this is the best Chiller rink in town. read more

Got there at 8:20 for Friday Night Meltdown (started at 8) and without even saying our skate sizes, the man working the desk said he didn't have skates in our size. He said that the Chiller is really busy on Friday nights and most people come and get their skates an hour early, then said it "wasn't really the place for adults anyways." We were a group of four 23 year olds. As we were leaving he told us to go bowling somewhere instead. Pretty disappointed as we had been planning to go ice skating all week and he did not even let us past the front desk for what was supposed to be a public/family skating event. read more

The OhioHealth Chiller located in Lewis Center is primo. I can't imagine any ice rink for youth, high school, adult skating having better presentation and services than this one. Huge skate selections; in-house staff that ranges from blade sharpening, rentals to concessions and cleanliness. I visited because of a nephew's hockey league games and was impressed with the entire facility. And it is easy to get to from north, south, east or west. Great stuff! This place was such a great finishing touch to end our holiday season. My son, his girlfriend and my daughter had such a blast and there were ample benches to change shoes, lots of lockers and a place to enjoy hot cocoa as a family afterwards. We all can't wait to go again! read more

As a whole the Chillers are the best hockey experience I've ever had. For comparison I've played in 5 different leagues in 2 states. The facilities are clean, and in good repair. The games start on time and and schedules are adhered to with a minimal amount of changes. I have some issues with individual ref's (but who doesn't) This rink is my favorite Chiller (Easton, Ice Haus, and Dublin- I've never been to the 'new' Worthington rink). It's the newest and nicest. read more

Clean, well run rink. Good ice, boards are straight. Good sharpening services. Heated second floor watching area. Big stands to sit in out in the barn too. Tread mill, rapid shot. Small concession stand. Decent locker rooms, clean, showers are clean but hot water takes a while and doesn't last long. Good place to play. read more

staff would not let me in to see my boyfriend even though the other players and the coach let me in at the end. i was very disappointed i could not seen his first senior game after driving thirty minutes. my boyfriend also said they let multiple people in after i had left. will not be coming back read more

The lights are super bright, the ice is nice and smooth, and there is plenty of standing room around the rink. The one things that's odd is that they removed the bleachers from the one side of the rink so you are standing room only now. The snack bar leaves a bit to be desired since there isn't much around the rink to bring in. They have some small items from the "Pro Shop" behind the desk such as tape but that's about the extent of it. The snack shop and pro shop could definitely use a facelift and a good stocking to keep people happy within the ice rink.

We reserved one of the full hookup sites online and stayed at the end of September 2025. The online…read morereservation site has all the details on lot size, electricity info, distance to showers, etc. However, it's limited in showing different dates, which is frustrating. Anyway, the check-in time is 3pm and check-out is 1pm. We paid fifty-three dollars per night for two adults and one dog, with a six fifty reservation charge. Check-in was easy, and the attendant was helpful; you just drive up to the office, check-in and go on your way. The layout is similar to a subdivision with cul-de-sacs and each spot having its own little yard, making it feel somewhat like camping in the woods. Our neighbors were quiet and most vehicles drove slowly. Everyone we met was pleasant and friendly. The camp itself was clean and easy to hook up. Bathrooms and showers were clean and there was plenty of toilet paper. Large trash bins were available along with gray water stations. The only thing I'd suggest is for the site identifiers to be repainted, as several had faded over time. We visited the beach, but didn't go swimming, given the temperature. The pond is catch and release and seemed maintained and not stagnant. The budget limitations need to be considered before passing judgment. We used bug spray every day and that seemed to help keep the bugs away. The site we booked had a level surface and plenty of room to back in. The water and electrical were easily accessible and worked fine. A lot of campers used an inline water filter. The water quality report is on the park website for anyone interested. The grass was well trodden, making a camp rug a must-have. There was also a fire pit with a grill attached, but we didn't use it to cook. Also, at the time, there wasn't a burn ban. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and we'll definitely return. It was fun to walk down the aisles and see all the setups and decorations and note future camp site options. How many campers are long-timers, it's hard to tell. But we were pleased and our dog loved exploring on our walks.

Members, using ACH have experienced Candlewood taking money out of their checking account long after they have moved. Others have had deductions for charges they have not known they had. I don't like having money deducted from my checking account when no statement is ever sent out. I rarely contact the office and am patient when I do, but I have found them unresponsive. How hard is it to hit reply to my email and answer my question "is there a $6.95 fee for every paper check Candlewood lake receives"? So 5 stars for the lake, 2 stars for the office averages to3.5 stars minus .5 stars for aggravation!

It's surrounded by trees and flows along Alum Creek. There are quite a few bridges you go over. We saw quite a few cyclists out in the morning.
