I don't get all crazy into vaping and building mods or anything... for me it is just a means of staying off the cigarettes.. so this review is from someone who looks at the supplies as a commodity, not a hobby. From that perspective, this is my go-to stop for vape juice in the neighborhood, and here's why: - Very affordable house-brand juice. Especially if you buy it in the big bottles and double especially if you go during happy hour (2-5pm daily? I think?). - They've got one of my favorite flavors: Rainbow Dust (to me it tastes like when you put a purple and green skittle into your mouth at the same time). They do have a pretty decent selection of house-brand vapes, not the largest I've experienced, but really all I need is to find one or two flavors that I like and that's good for me. Rainbow Dust is the only one I've found so far, but I'm pretty picky about liking only specific things. - Always in stock. They mix the liquid and flavor in the bottle size of your choice to order. So while other places will often say "oh we only have that flavor in this level or in this size", unless these guys are out of the actual flavor mix, they will always be able to supply exactly what you want. (Note the only time I've experienced them being out was after the last bout of FDA regulations where they had to stop producing until they went through whatever process.) - It's easy to get in and out of. They've got a parking lot with a couple of fifteen minute parking spots which are usually open. Especially since I normally go after-regular-business-hours when everything else in that little plaza is closed. They've always got multiple people working so if there's one guy in there wanting to look at every mod and another gal in there wanting to sample every flavor, there is still someone who can help you with your 'i just need a bottle of ejuice' order reasonably promptly. - They also carry all the doo-dads and thingamabobs i need to replace on my mod (batteries, coils, glass, etc.). Some additional perks that make it even nicer are the funny/sometimes sarcastic atmosphere and the 5-star rewards program. Only negative things i could say: I wish i could find a second flavor here that I like - it's nice to have two to alternate between... and the tipping situation is a bit awkward... it uses the same program those restaurants with the flippy screen and i never know - are you supposed to tip when you're just buying a bottle of juice or is it for ppl who are getting service only - and what's the appropriate amount to tip on a bulk order... it confuses me. LOL I've never even really looked at what pens or mods they do or don't have... So i can't vouch for any of that. I just know it's a great place to stock up on juice, and the service is fast and friendly. read more

I came here due to the high rating on Yelp. But to be honest I was a bit upset. They had probably 5-10 premium e-liquids and everything else was homemade juice. I am not very familiar with California law. But FDA has banned "homemade e-liquids" for the fact that we don't know what's in them. All e-liquids have to be manufactured on an FDA approved lab starting in 2018. I gave them 3 stars because they were very nice and attentive. If they have more premium liquids and stop making homemade liquids they have the potential to be a much better shop! read more

OSV is definitely the best vape shop in San Diego- I have never experienced such great customer service! They mix their own juices, and every flavor I've tried had been delicious (especially the Strawberry Cheesecake, even at higher nicotine levels). The first time we visited and needed a battery and wanted to test 15ml bottles of a couple of flavors of juices. The owner heard us talking to each other about how we were short on cash, and he upgraded us to 30ml bottles and threw in a coil on the house, we were really touched by his generosity. The second time we visited, our tank was having some issues and this shop literally replaced a part for us and fixed it for free! I can't imagine finding this kind of caring or service at any other shop! The only negative thing I could say is that they don't have a very large selection of mods or tanks to purchase, but otherwise this store is excellent and we'll be customers as long as we're in San Diego! read more

Came in last night looking for new juice and cartomizers for my Provari mini. The guy working was really friendly but didn't know which cartomizers go with my vape and this isn't a problem I've run in to before (a shop not knowing) so I didn't really know what not to buy. After the guy helping asked the owner, I just took their advice. This was my first mistake. The juices were super cheap so I grabbed two (second mistake) and went home feeling kind of confused but over all excited about saving some money and getting new flavors. Long story semi-short, I came home to find out I'd been given low resistance cartomizers so immediately burnt one because my provari needed standard cardos since I vape around a 5.2. I filled another and lowered my voltage which worked okay but I woke up this morning with a killer headache, sinus irritation, a chemical taste in my mouth, and a very sore throat. It's nice to *think* you're saving money but if the juices hurt your throat and gives you headaches, you're just throwing money away. Luckily, I only spent $23 but sadly none of the items I bought were worth it. Like I said, they were friendly enough and I genuinely feel like the guy tried to help so I gave 2 stars instead of 1 but if you're newer to vaping and accustomed to well informed shops it's disappointing to be so misdirected by the staff and only be offered one brand of "made in-house" liquid if it's not a quality product. Won't be returning. I had high hopes for this very affordable shop. Maybe too affordable, as you often do get what you pay for. read more

Pretty overdue review for me. I've lived here since June of last year and this has pretty much been my go-to vape shop. Really nothing but good things to say. Good house juice, fair prices. Banana berries, lychee, missing, vanilla illa are pretty solid. Decent but kind of lacking selection of hardware, hardware pricing is ok. Hardware doesn't really seem to be a focus, but it's not terrible either. I've never seen a customer come in and ask for a coil that they don't have. 5 stars for their employee Nguyen. He's extremely knowledgable about everything you need to know. Juices, hardware, good builds for specific atomizers, electricity, everything. Perfect vape shop employee (great builder, consultative, educational, no pressure sales approach!) and just overall really nice person. Thanks dude! 5 star program and happy hour promos are sweet. Could be improved - Location. The physical location is good but the parking lot is just awful and will jack your car up if it's low to the ground. Ok jack your car up might be a little dramatic, but there's a pretty gnarly pothole divot thing right as you drive in. Avoid it. It's also pretty sketchy taking a left turn out of the parking lot. I feel like the house juice menu has become a little stale and could use some new and more complex flavors, but they seem to be starting to add some slowly. read more

My boyfriend goes here all the time for all his vape stuff. They have great customer service! The store is small but it's easy to find and they have their own small private parking lot. It's right in front of Fall Brewing Co. So you can grab a beer after you shop for some vape stuff lol. Their vape juices are freshly made and they can make any juice you want to your liking! Buyer beware... They stiff you with faulty vapes. The manger knows nothing about customer service nor values loyal customers. They lost my business! Response to their comment: I didn't get a receipt when I purchased it. You should back up your products. I shouldn't have to mess with a pin to use it... it should just work. It never worked for me and I work for a living and didn't have the time to rush over to return it especially when I have other vapes that I purchased at your store. I live downtown and drive out of my way to your place for awhile and have spent hundreds. It was two weeks and not a month... don't know where you got that if no receipt was provided. My husband is in the military and we both have spent a lot of money at your place and you made me feel like a criminal. I've already found a place near my home. I called to ask about getting a starter kit. The guy on the phone checked for the one I was looking for which they did not have in stock so he recommended another kit which they did have and said the price was the same. He quoted me $85 for the Smok AL85 kit which I noticed was going for $47 online. He said he would throw in some house juice which is still not comparable. I asked him what it would be with the 15% discount and he said that it would not apply. It clearly states on this yelp page that you get 15% off for starter kits. At one point he said he was asking his manager who also told him that the discount did not apply. I heard about this place through a co worker, and I've been to this vape shop twice now. I'm a greenhorn when it comes to anything that has to do with vaping, so it's a little intimidating to come into a shop and start asking questions when you don't even know where to begin. My first visit, I had the privilege of meeting the owner Alex. He was very helpful and informative, and showed a lot of patience with me. He ended up giving me a really great estimate on exactly what I was looking for, and surprisingly it was WAY cheaper than it would've been anywhere online. I got a good vibe from the place, seeing other customers being helped by the staff, and seeing people in there hanging out and having a good time. I decided to tell Alex I'd come back in a week after needing to look around some more online, and at other shops. He was absolutely cool with the idea and even saved my estimate on their computer through their fivestars card, which was really convenient. But based on what I found that night, they had the best deal that was out there. I came back the following day and had the best customer service by 3 SEPARATE PEOPLE. I was greeted immediately by someone as I was walking in. Helped over the counter by another gentleman who gave me all my gear and set me up with 2 really good flavors since I haven't had a preference yet. At this point there were other customers coming in and I was messing with my mod anyway, so as he should, starts helping the other patrons. As soon as his other co worker comes out, he asks him to help me out, as to make sure I don't feel like I'm just being neglected, and show me how to use my new contraption and how to properly take care of it. This guy with long hair was very informative and knowledgeable and made understanding everything very easy. This place kicks ass. I called ahead to let them know I'd be coming in that day to get my stuff and they even charged the batteries for me before I got there so I could use it right away. Best customer service from anywhere I've ever been to. I live all the way in mira mesa and drove there through traffic and would do it every time I needed to, and would not care just because of the employees here. I'll exclusively only come here. UPDATE!!!! I went back to OSV today and i have to officially retract my one negative about this place.. The higher end mod/RBA selection. As i said before, they are a new store and i was very impressed with the new products they now offer. They have some awesome custom RBAs and RSSTs that will make even the most experienced vaper smile! Although i forgot to mention last time i also want to say they have some of the best prices on equipment and liquids in SD! I went to OSV for the first time today. As an experienced vaper ive tried most of the shops in SD and this one is one of the best! The staff was awesome and they take time with each customer to make sure your happy with their products.
