I stop here when I need to pickup some "quickie supplies." For example, if I need sunblock, hat or sunglasses. I can usually find those things here. They sell those cute Disney fans that have a strap to wear around your neck. This place is more for quick necessities in my opinion. But I like the convenience of not having to try to find these items- like sunblock, elsewhere in the park. Oswald's is located perfectly at the left when you enter Disney California Adventure Park.

#90 Review for 2023 #408 all time!! Service 4 Stars**** Store 4 Stars**** Products 4 Stars**** Visiting the Disney Oswald store in California Adventure was a delightful trip down memory lane! The vintage-themed merchandise was a treasure trove for Disney aficionados, celebrating the iconic Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. The store's nostalgic vibes and unique memorabilia truly set it apart, offering something special beyond the typical Mickey Mouse offerings. The cozy atmosphere and nods to Disney's rich history made it a standout spot. But the highlight? Getting a hat embroidered with my name - such a cute and personalized touch! Overall, a charming and must-visit store for Disney enthusiasts.

Before the mouse, there was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks for Universal Pictures in 1927. He first appeared in the short film Trolley Troubles and was known for the ability to disassemble and reshape his body parts at will. Due to a financial falling out with producer Charles Mintz, Disney abandoned the Oswald series and left Universal. Disney, with his team of loyal skilled animators, subsequently created Mickey Mouse, Oswald's successor. Oswald remained with Universal and then faded into obscurity in the late 1930s. In 2006, The Walt Disney Company acquired ownership of Oswald and the early Disney-made cartoons. Today, Oswald's is a nod to the precursor of Mickey Mouse.

Oswald ... Walt's character for the Universal pictures between 1920's and 1930's. He was the precursor to Mickey Mouse when Walt Disney went on his own to create his own line of animated shorts. In 2006, the Walt Disney Company acquired the intellectual property of Oswald from NBC/Universal. Now on Buena Vista Street, Oswald has been revived. Oswald's Gas Station is located immediately to the left as you enter Disney California Adventure. Inside this gas station store, you can find select merchandise dedicated to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Other merchandise can be found in here as well such as Mickey ear hats, some Red Car Trolley merchandise, key chains, sun screen, and other small items, but the majority of merchandise is Oswald. You have heard of Mickey ears ... well why not pick up a pair of Oswald ears.

You can get all your old Oslwald the lucky rabbit gear here!

At first all was good, when we entered there was a couple other kids looking around so we allowed our kids to take a look around as well. My older daughter was having trouble deciding so my three year old son kept tossing around a dog he had decided on. While doing that he dropped it a few times on the floor, where a worker brought that to my attention, understandable, so I placed it in my basket. Finally we had all decided on a jelly cat and my son changed his option to another one I took a look at the dog and he was still in great condition so I put it back. When we were about to pay the cashier bluntly expressed if we would purchasing the dog since my son a dropped it. It wasn't the situation that frustrated me and it was the way I was approached about it. You know what I bought them all because I didn't want to ruin my children's experience that I had hoped would be different. She then tried to be nice about the situation but honestly my husband and me felt uncomfortable. We witnessed another child tossing and licking other stuff animals and left without buying anything, yet here we were buying 3 jelly cats and then almost forced to buy a fourth getting rude customer service. Definitely will not be shopping here ever again. I think specifically her name was Alysa who was the one out of the three who made us extremely uncomfortable. One of the worst customer experience I had in my life
