Cute little wine shop! Stopped in with a couple of friends after dinner this Saturday to check it out. I love how they've used colors on bottles to show how the varietals are sorted-I'm pretty familiar with it, but for someone that isn't that's super helpful. The prices are okay, I didn't see anything under $15 (not to say they don't have it, I just didn't see any), so if you're looking for something super cheap this might not be for you. The person working when we were there (didn't catch her name), was helpful when my friend asked about a Chenin Blanc. She was able to describe the taste/characteristics of the wine, and also give a couple suggestions for other varietals to try since Chenin Blanc can be harder to find. As a small, woman-owned business, I'm really glad to see they made it through the pandemic. I highly recommend checking them out! read more

I do love this place. The staff are really nice and very, very knowledgeable. While the selection isn't enormous, they do cover all of the important wine types, as well as a few you might never have heard of before. They also carry a small selection of beer and spirits as well. Prices are...okay. A little high, but not absurd as compared to the big places, and not unexpected. But you do get a ton of info and experience for the few extra pennies. Definitely check it out! read more

I live just around the corner from it and found myself this evening wondering in looking for a moderate priced white bottle of Sauv B. The owner gave me exactly what I was searching for and was super helpful without being too salesy. She told me all about their tastings (FYI Wednesday and Friday from 5:30-6:30? Stopped in today and the women working there were so helpful and kind! We told them we were looking for an affordable white wine that wasn't too sweet. Really, really nice wine shop. Rob, the person working when I went in, was super knowledgeable and friendly. He gave detailed suggestions in a very relaxed, non-intimidating and non-pushy manner. His expertise and passion for wine was very evident. If you don't know much about wine, this shop is perfect for helping you choose the best option for the occassion/meal/etc. at all price points. They also have a nice selection of beers and liquor in the back. I haven't met the owner, Melissa, in person, but I corresponded with her via email and she was extremely nice and she cares a lot about the Lakeview (and overall Chicago) community.
