Great company, they have continued to show up when I needed them to. The technicians help me a lot.

If you want to install an elevator in your home, Russel Yue and his boys at Elevator Services are…read morethe way to go. See a video of my elevator on my public facebook post... https://www.facebook.com/kent.roller.1/videos/10208302888025191/ We had been planning an elevator for years. It was included in a huge home renovation we started in 2008. I put it off because of the cost. But in 2015 I broke my leg. The lesson learned was don't put things off. So we got going on it at the end of 2015 and finished up in April of 2016. I initially received quotes from Access Lifts Hawaii, because a lot of people think Geno and Access are the only residential outfitters in Honolulu. In a desperate Google search I somehow came across Elevator Services. I gave them a call and Russel came over the next day. A lot of things went wrong during the install, and it took longer than Russel had promised, but all of that is expected with something as special as an elevator. Many of the set backs were caused by me changing my mind. The bottom line is it got done for the price Russel quoted. He even gave me a discount. Russel and his team get a little overwhelmed by the demand, but they always did their best to keep the job moving. And it's been working flawlessly for the last six months. Here's the specs... Brand: Savaria Model: Eclipse Technology: Box cab on rolling track, electric chain drive motor, small control unit in a closet next to the elevator shaft, 220 and 110 current,LED lighting and multiple emergency stop and access functions, manual according interior safety doors with clear panels. Here's my application. Floors: 3 (2 are split level) Stops: Five (5) Doors: Custom solid wood with windows These days, with extended families and aging parents, an elevator is not a luxury. My wife loves how she can unload groceries into a cart in the garage, roll it into the elevator, and ride everything up to the kitchen. I've moved furniture between floors without any extra help. A big thanks to Elevator Services for accomplishing a difficult and highly customized elevator solution!

Worst elevator service company we have ever used. Only reason why we used them was because the…read moreowner of the building had used them for years and we simply continued to use them. Every few months, the elevator would not work. Whenever we submitted a trouble call, the technician would arrive, reset the elevator, and charge for 2 hours of "work." When we asked him what was wrong with the elevator, he would mumble (yes, seriously) and then walk away. They even blamed us for "banging" the door, which they pointed to as the source of the problem. Never mind that the permit had expired for over a year, or that the elevator rails were misaligned (which was causing the trouble), or any of the other major issues that were discovered by actual, legitimate elevator service technicians. Can't believe we were paying them for all those trouble calls for that long. Find another vendor like Otis or Centric, both provide WAY better customer service and follow-up.

We have had an extremely poor experience with TK Elevator Honolulu and do not plan to continue our…read morecontract once it expires. Our main concerns are poor communication, lack of follow-through, weak troubleshooting, and a consistent failure to take ownership of recurring elevator issues. Based on our experience, TK Elevator Honolulu does not meaningfully investigate problems until after attempting to shift responsibility to other parties. We have records showing multiple unresolved incidents, including nine work orders where the resolution was left as "N/A." When we pressed for answers, TK Elevator Honolulu first pointed to HECO. HECO came out and stated the issue was not on their end. Only after that did TK Elevator Honolulu identify a corroded part as the problem. We then waited approximately two weeks for the replacement part to arrive. During that time, we asked what caused the corrosion, but TK Elevator Honolulu did not provide an answer. After the part was installed at a cost of roughly $7,000, we were then told the underlying issue was low voltage causing the corrosion and that we needed to contact an electrician. By that point, more than one month had passed since the elevator problems became persistent enough that TK Elevator Honolulu stopped marking incident resolutions as "N/A" on work orders. That timeline is unacceptable for a critical building system. We contacted an electrician, who reached out to TK Elevator Honolulu for clarification. After 48 hours, there was still no response. This reflects a broader pattern: delayed diagnosis, poor coordination, limited transparency, and no clear sense of urgency. Their technicians have also not been able to confidently communicate repair status to the AOAO president while on site, and updates to property management and the AOAO board have been inadequate. We have also learned that TK Elevator Honolulu only keeps records for three years. This makes it difficult to track long-term recurring issues unless property management or the AOAO independently maintains and requests those records. For an elevator maintenance company, this level of service is unacceptable. In our experience, TK Elevator Honolulu does not provide comprehensive preventive maintenance, does not communicate effectively, and does not handle unresolved issues with the accountability required for a building elevator system. We cannot recommend them.

Over 90% of the days there was no hot water. The manager Idor does not seem to care nor give timely updates on the progress of the fix and the HOA managers do not care as the issue doesn't affect their top floor apartments. Additionally, there is a fire alarm and sprinkler issue that hasn't been resolved and instead of informing the residents in a building wide announcement the Management only posts a piece of paper next to the fire alarm systems.

Dog friendly building and theres puppers everywhere. you get to know fellow pup parents from elevator chats and morning/evening routines. Its lovely. Cons: elevators go down a lot. Normally theres three but sometimes get down to 1 which is frustrating if you live on high floors. Its a block from fire station so loud midnight sirens aren't unusual. Chinatown is pretty vibrant and isn't for everyone. You'll see a lot of people struggling on the street which can be heartbreaking. but never feels unsafe to me. People drive like jerks getting in and out of parking garage. Not super convenient bike parking.
