Purchased a used bike from there a couple months ago, that was fairly smooth other than the back brakes not being great and a bike listed for 6,000 turned into a 17,000 loan. Pinkorange or whatever is meh. The clothing side, absolutely atrocious. What a joke of a store upstairs. Bought a jacket that turned out to be loose fitting when I took the liners out, also had lost some weight. Never wore the jacket out of the house, accidentally threw the tags out, tried to return for smaller size and upon their obviously biased "inspection" was told too bad because there's marks on it. White jacket, purchased it with the marks but they refused to believe that. Absolute sh!t, buy your gear literally anywhere else, the dude running that shop is a complete d!ck. Had my triumph 900 serviced as part of a 9000 mile trip from Los Angeles to Canada and back. The service was prompt, thorough and the entire staff so very helpful and polite. To say that I'm upset would be an understatement. I went into Ottawa Good Times Center Feb 28th and fell in love with the new 2023 Triumph Speedmaster. I asked the sales person, Terry, if I could put a deposit on it until I could test ride it, he said they only receive 1 Triumph model to as a demo each year and they didn't choose the Speedmaster this year. I told him I'd think on what I wanted to do and come back. The following day I went back in and Terry told that me coincidentally, he had just sold a bike to someone who was trading in their 2022 Speedmaster, and that is a bike I could test ride. He said it would be in within about a week and he'd call me so I could put a deposit on it so it couldn't be sold before I could test ride it. Two weeks went by without a call so I went in and Terry wasn't there so I spoke with another salesperson, Kevin. He told me there was no record of an incoming used Speedmaster, but the manager and co-owner Jason who was there too verified that one was coming in. I noticed that significantly more bikes since I'd been in last were sold so I asked if I could put a deposit on the new one I was intending to purchase and on the incoming used one so I could test ride it before it sold. Kevin said yes, but that it wasn't possible to put a deposit on the used bike until it arrived and he said he'd call me the moment it came in. I made the deposit on the new bike, two more weeks passed and last night I checked the used inventory on the site and to my surprise, the 2022 Speedmaster was listed. I called first thing this morning and spoke to Kevin again. Kevin told me the used bike was in and I could put a deposit on it so he took my credit card details and told me I'd receive a receipt via email. By 3:30pm I still hadn't received a receipt so I called to see if maybe my name was misspelled in my email address as that happens quite often. Jackson picked up the call, he said Kevin was with a client. When I told him I needed a copy of my receipt for the deposit I made this morning on the 2022 Speedmaster, he said 'that's strange, because I sold that bike yesterday'. He also said there's only one deposit for me on file. It's unbelievable to me that multiple sales people including the manager/owner told me they'd arrange for the used bike to be held with my deposit so I could test ride it to ensure that it's a good fit for me on the road before I spend $20,000 and then none of them followed through but they were happy to hang onto my $500 knowing full well I wouldn't buy a bike I couldn't test ride. I'm 5'2", 125lbs so most bikes don't work well for me. A test ride was really important for me to feel comfortable to make this purchase. I get that right now demand is higher than supply, but Ottawa Good Times Center, it won't always be like that and you have burned a bridge with my husband who bought a bike from you only 1.5 years ago, and from myself who's only just starting out in the bike world and would have been a loyal, repeat customer for years to come. Word of mouth is important and I will certainly be vocal about this experience. Shame on you for doing such terrible business. Good Time Centre has left me completely disappointed. When someone trades in their motorcycle, it's inspected before it's decided what they will give the customers as a trade-in. So I've bought a used bike from there. Was told to pick it up today and then got a text indicating that the font chain sprocket needs to be changed and the part won't be in until Saturday morning. I paid CASH for this bike literally a full week ago, and considering they had the details of what that bike would have needed at the trade-in point, IT HAD BEEN LEFT TO THE LAST MINUTE and now I don't get the bike until late Saturday or Sunday. I purchased a used Yamaha FZ1 over the phone just as the US border closed due to the pandemic in March of 2020. As I live in NY across from Prescott Ontario, this was a definite problem. Ottawa Good Time Centre stored the bike for me until the border reopened for me in August 2021. Although the bike had been stored on a battery tender with stabilizer in the fuel, sales advised me the bike wasn't fueling perfectly when I arrived. They put a tech on the issue immediately, pulled the carb bank for cleaning. In a short time the bike was ready and has been running perfectly. Everyone was very pleasant. Asked this place of business to repair my old Honda HS80 tracked blower. Pick up, basic repair and delivery took them nearly a month: did some basic carb work, replaced a few bolts and greased up the machine. Looked good when it came back so I put it away until I needed it. It was delivered right by the spot where I ready it, so I shoved it over and put a cover on it until enough snow would appear to use it. Yesterday after our big dump I go to start her up: can't pull the cord? Weird, how could it be seized? So I check the oil. Unscrew the cap and fuel gushes. Techs over there left the fuel valve in the on position, so it drained the tank into the crankcase. Thank you. Called them up, oops we won't have a truck to pick up this machine until next week. Way to be in a hurry to fix your oversight. Meanwhile I am supposed to dig my 99' driveway out by hand until you get here? Sure. Gives me plenty of time to write these. Please avoid this shop. I don't make a bad reviews normally but WOW. Bought a NEW phone mount 2 days ago, threw out the packaging which is a plastic bag clear sealed plastic bag that's not the original packaging and a paper that's not even instructions for how to put the mount on, it's a advertisement for other products. They told me I had 14 days to return it if I didn't like it as well. Tried it the next day and it didn't fit my phone, so I went back to return it and I even called ahead and the person who answered the phone said the manager said it would be okay if I returned it without the "packaging." So I drove all the way to return it and the manager tells me I can't return it because it looks used. So I told her that I did try it on my motorcycle to see if it would work but it didn't work for me since it was the wrong size and she refused to return it. Told me if I'm going to test a product I should do so in person at the store to see if my phone would fit even though it's covid and they're only doing curbside pick ups and I shouldn't try to put it on my motorcycle, I should just see with my hands what it looks like??? I asked for a partial refund or a gift certificate or a exchange for another product and she said she wouldn't be able to get her money back if I returned it to her, and to go sell it online instead. So I asked her if I could buy whatever part or things she needed or get half the money back on a gift card just because I have absolutely NO use for the mount. She refused and said she still wouldn't make my money back. We argued for 10 minutes and she kept telling me no matter what I wouldn't be able to return it even though right after I asked what was the return policy and she said 14 days in my face, then said she was too busy to negotiate with me and left me. This was a 110 dollar mount... That I found out is only 60 BUCKS ONLINE BRAND NEW. I would never again try anything with them again read more

I purchased a 2010 Honda vrf. on the phone. I drove from Bethany, Ont. and when I arrived, I was greeted and made to feel welcome. Jason was ready for my visit and the bike was ready to go. I had to complete the paperwork and my bike was ready outside for loading. Jason helped us load and I was ready to take my "new" bike home. From the outset, the experience of this purchase couldn't have gone any smoother. What a wonderful environment in which to buy a bike! I was smiling all the way home not only because of my bike, but because the sales staff made the experience stress free and enjoyable. My initial phone call to Kevin was received in the same manner. He was super helpful, answering all my questions and although he was off when I arrived, he had left the paperwork organized and ready for the next staff member to deal with. Buyer Be Ware. I bought a motorcycle from this dealership. The bike did not have PIN provided which removed several functions. The rationale given is that they do not service Ducatis. It is a motorcycle dealership and they sold the bike. I believe it was an honest mistake and they did offer to cover the cost to have the PIN reset. However, to do this the work, it had to be done at a different dealership which did not do the work on the week-end. I will have to go during a work day and loose a day's pay and travel 400 km round trip. This cost is well beyond the cost to have the PIN reset. Nearly 2K. I asked if we could split the total cost for their mistake. No support. We all make mistakes. It is how we respond to them that counts. In conclusion, you maybe expected to cover considerable expenses on your own as a result of the dealership's mistake. Be careful. read more

Brought my bike to them for repairs. They had a good look at it and said they could do it. A week later they email me refusing to do the work they agreed to because of the difficulty of sourcing parts. My bike is a 2013 Husky... not an ancient or rare bike. At the beginning of August I had the first service performed on my Street Triple. I left the bike with the OGTC for about 3 hours. After picking it up, while on my ride home I noticed a new scratch on the tank. The bike has a matte finish which shows everything, so I wanted to make sure it was actually a scratch before going back to the dealer. After getting home, I confirmed that it was a scratch in the clear coat (not the paint). I called the OGTC and spoke with someone in service who asked that I come by so the service manager could have a look. I went back the next day, met with the service manager who looked at the scratch, tried to buff it out (unsuccessfully) and took some pictures. It appeared as though my concerns were being taken seriously. He took my information down on what looked to be a copy of the original work order. He said he would get back to me on what could be done. It has been over 3 weeks and I have not heard anything back from them and at this point I don't expect to. The scratch is small, and realistically there isn't a lot that can be done due to the matte finish short of replacing or repainting the tank and it's not worth going that far. I'm also not interested in chasing them down because while upset at first, I'm mostly over it. However, the lack of follow-up on their part is very disappointing. I was really hoping to develop a good relationship with their service department, as they're the only Triumph dealer in Ottawa. read more

This is hands down the largest, centrally located and polished motorcycle and gear store in Ottawa. Being a show room everything is clean and fancy. The service as far as my experience (gear section only) has been great. The employees are polite and helpful and do not use pressure tactics. So you might be wondering why 3 stars. Mainly there are two reasons; They lack selection specially on the higher end brands (they can special order). The prices are higher than online and other local retailers. I suppose the over head costs and convenient location might justify the higher prices in some buyers' views. read more

Pathetic in general. Goodtime is a major let-down. Today when I picked up my still broken BMW they made me walk through the rain because "insurance doesn't allow" me to walk to the back from the inside. I picked up my BMW 600 they had replaced the timing belt tensioner on at 8000 k. Now at 28,000 it failed again and destroyed the engine. So the bike is scrap because they replaced a defective part with a defective part! The cowards at BMW won't honour the warranty. All ll I was to Goodtime was a cash cow. Phoned on weekend to book a winter snowblower tune up, was told pickup would happen on coming Thursday. Followed up with a phone message with an alternate phone number for me, address confirmation and location of snowblower. When I got home from work on Thursday there had been no call or pickup, so I called to find status at 5 pm. Was told the pickup would happen by 6 pm, I confirmed I was on the list for pickup and waited. Pickup never happened and they closed at 6. I was never contacted about the missed appointment. Awful customer service. Firstly, bought my bike there 2 years ago. Had to return twice within the first week. My signal lights didn't work and then my serial number did not match ownership. (sketchy) Then I ordered a part for my bike, pre paid for it, went to pick it up and it was the wrong part. They tried to charge me extra to send the part back while they actually had the right part in stock the whole time. One employee pretended to be the manager but the actual manager showed up and resolved my issue. One customer who will never be returning. read more

Bad return policy- I've bought a lot of stuff there over a while and the last purchase I made was a 300$ Alpine jacket which seemed fine but was not comfortable when I got on my bike. I wore it for no longer than 5 minutes, but they wouldn't take it back. I cut the "tags" (price and stuff) off, so it's no good anymore?? Unless you want to ride with the tags still attached to your clothes, you might not be able to return stuff. Now I'm stuck with a 300$ jacket sitting in my closet. I visited the store once before and was impressed with the level of service from Pat. He was patient with me and answered all my questions in regards to my first bike. I then moved upstairs to buy new gear and was helped by a young man named Adam. He seemed to hate his job and gave me the impression he wanted to be doing anything but helping me. He at least stuck with me throughout the entire buying process, I'll give him that. I asked him to place the product on hold for me until the end of the day so I can make a decision on whether or not to buy the product. He said yes and put it aside. Or so I thought. When I came back a few hours later to buy the product his colleague had a hard time finding it. That's because he had put it back on the sales floor. He then approached me later and said, "I didn't think you were coming back" with a stupid smile on his face. I was pissed and I'm still pissed. Then he had the gall while I was paying to come over and give the cashier helping me his commission number. read more

A parade of incompetence. Moved to Ottawa a year ago and have taken my BMW to Goodtime 3 times for service. They messed up every time. Every single damn time! I have heard it all - they diagnose a problem that they can't fix, they forget appointments, they forget to put all the parts back on your bike forcing you to drive 50km the next day to pick up the forgotten part, they make you order (and pay) for parts that are not needed, and the last draw was them telling me I am going blind and deaf and the warning lights and sounds are not real. And yes, I can go on. All to say, if you have a BMW in Ottawa, the best option is to use the real Motorrad dealerships in Montreal and Toronto. Already made an appointment with the Montreal one to fix the problem that Goodtime did not understand, as well as the 60k tune up. Also, if you live in Ottawa, you should avoid buying a BMW, or any of the brands only this store carries - I wanted to buy a GS for my upcoming tour of South America, now I will but a KTM or Suzuki instead. read more

Great service on parts clothing service and sales a great place to shop for bike stuff.

I hadn't been riding for a long, long time...went to Goodtimes and started talking to the sales staff on the used bikes. I had no idea what I wanted to get but, after talking to their sales rep Pat, he helped me decide on something simple to get going on for a season. A small little Ninja 250. I bought it and did layaway over the winter, picking it up in the Spring. Got the bike home and within a few days, the battery was dead. Took the battery out and brought it to them, letting them know what happened. That exact same day they replaced the battery with a brand new one, free of charge. I was very pleased with the quick, helpful service. The next fall I traded the bike in on a 600. For trade-in, I was offered what I paid for it and got an excellent deal on the 600. Their sales and gear service are excellent. And the limited experience I've had with the service department (I do all my own, haven't needed their help yet), is still good. I go in often, checking out the bikes, looking for my next upgrade, and seeing what gear they have I might want. I highly recommend them! read more

I try to buy local, but I didn't have a good experience with this place. It took them over a month to order an extremely common helmet for me - I'm actually surprised they didn't have any on the floor when I went in. They claimed it would be in within a week, but it wasn't; they said they'd call me when it came in, but they didn't. The worst part is, I could've had it within three days if I ordered online. Moral of the story: don't do orders with these guys. read more

Ordered a part that was in stock, they said 2-3 business days. I can see it taking a week but a month is absolutely ridiculous! They don't really have a care in the world that it isn't in yet either.
