Wow, ordered a burnt end sausage to go with potato salad and this is what I got. FAIL!

Pretzel appetizer was plenty for our family of four!

We enjoyed a lovely evening dining outside in their courtyard. Great food and quick service!

This place was completely wiped out after the 4th of july when we went here, they were out of almost everything. The hotdog was alright, but the burger looks really good. Next time I go here I will be getting a burger.

Otto's has everything you'd expect out of a German pub--good food & good beer! Casual environment and good service made it worth stopping for. Music selection was great too.

Favorite eatery in Minocqua. Outdoor beer in back is the best on a nice summers day. Very limited seating inside. Gets busy fast. The Otto's brat is the best. Just wish I could find out where they get it! Our kid got the mushroom burger and she was quite happy. The cheese soup is a must

Came here on two different occasions during our 4-day stay in Minocqua! The service was absolutely fantastic! The bar is decorated so cool and the bier garten is amazing! The beer cheese soup was good, but I would skip the pretzel (it was your basic frozen pretzel you can get at any sporting events.) But everyone in our group who got sausages/ sandwiches really enjoyed them! They don't have a huge draft beer selection but tried a few different ones on there and liked them all! And of course, highly recommend the Bloody Mary with a spotted cow chaser!

Pretzel was small and nothing exciting. Didn't get any other food. Back patio was cute. Server was pleasant.

We had a great experience at this restaurant recently in Minocqua. Don't be fooled when you see nobody inside at the bar area or the booths on the inside as the activity is all in the outside beer garden area. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely awesome. If you're in Minocqua for the week, make sure you reserve time for a visit to Ottos for either lunch or dinner

    Great beer.

Updated Review -- I've stopped in a number of times over the years, a couple of times for food and drink, but mostly for some beer and a game or two of shffleboard. They have some of my favorite German beers on tap -- including Spaten's Optimator and Oktoberfest (in season). I do wish they served their beer in proper .3L, .5L or 1L German glassware rather than a generic mug containing an ambiguous quantity (though it looks to be close to .5L). Their brats are big and delicious. They are served with kraut and a choice of some sides -- for me -- German potato salad. Dusseldorf style mustard, the perfect condiment for an authentic German taste, is one of their selections from the condiment tray. In my opinion their German potato salad is a bit lacking in seasoning. I really missed the classic tangy sweet and sour of my favorite varieties (like my grandma used to make). I like my German potato salad slightly warmer than room temperature. The second time I ate at Otto's they served it hot which I did not care for. However, the flavor actually improved as it cooled down. Outside of brats and knockwurst there is not much "German cuisine" on the menu. You can name a burger the "Black Forest Burger" or the "Heidelburger," but it is still just a burger. They do offer a few vegetarian options which could easily become vegan by omitting the cheese. Their shuffleboard table is super -- a "full sized board," with lots of places to set your beer while you are playing. One time we were there on a rainy night and due to a leak in the roof the drips of water landed right on the middle of the table. We had to keep wiping it dry (and it mucked up the shuffleboard powder). Fortunately the rest rooms with paper towel were right next to the table so we could finish our game. This was a while back (sometime in '16) so I'm guessing the roof has been fixed by now (10/19), at least I hope it has!.

A great place to support local. They have different kinds of brats & beer, born and raised in Milwaukee--those are two things I can appreciate. It was a casual atmosphere outside in their beer garden, and very family friendly. They are literally making food outdoors, by the beer garden type area. Obviously everything is fresh. Between the food choices and the atmosphere itself, this is a place not to miss when upnorth.

A must visit anytime I'm in Minocqua! Great food and I love the beer garden on a sunny day!

Thin burnt to crisp burger I couldn't even eat!

Go in the summer when the patio is open. Minocqua is not known for its "cuisine" but the burgers are fine, and the atmosphere lovely.

Once again ... rude and dismissive service... I guess the only reason this place is in business is the decent decor and tourism.

This was my family's first time at Slo's Pub and we couldn't have been happier. Speedy service,…read moredelicious food (with even some unique menu choices), great prices and the lake views are wonderful. We stopped in on a Saturday for lunch and were told to seat ourselves. The place was busy but not packed. We grabbed a hightop with lake views and perused the menu. The adults ordered old fashioneds ($5.50) and the kiddos had kiddie cocktails ($2), plus an appetizer of mini corn dogs ($8.50) as we were all starving. From there the adults ordered "Greg's Taco Wrap" ($11) and the Walleye Fingers Basket ($10.50) and the kiddos ordered from the kids menu with a 9" Cheese Pizza ($5.95) and a Hamburger with Fries ($4.95) with cheese (not sure if we were up-charged for that). Note, water is self serve by the front door. The food all came out quickly and were very large servings. I couldn't believe how many fries came with the kids meal! The Taco Wrap was the highlight of the meal, but it was all delicious. Nitpick would be a lighter batter on the walleye fingers, but it was still good. We ended our meal with the kiddos playing some of the arcade games, which were surprisingly only $1 a play. My only regret is I wish I would have ordered the duck wontons. Next time!
