It's been 5 years since I last set foot in this place. Swore I'd never come back because the owner was so rude when we were there. The only good part of our visit then was our waitress and the food. Due to weather we ended up here tonight. The bartender was the best part of our night. Lynn was fantastic. Friendly. Professional. We discovered she had also been our waitress five years ago too. Now to the food today. The worst prawns I have ever had. Over done, dry and tough not to mention so small. They offered to substitute a small prime rib for the prawns because it could be ready faster. A bit dry but edible.

This place is so cute! The main attraction: the salad and soup bar. WOW. I truly wish i would have skipped my entree and just got the salad bar. It has tons of options pasta salad, build your own salad, tons of toppings. At the end they have a handful of homemade salad dressings and they each are delicious. The soups? It was a beef and barely and a cream of mushroom that day. I will be dreaming of this cream of mushroom soup until i come back next time. It was heavenly. They also have tons of crackers and homemade buns and rolls to go with your soup! For my entree i got the cheeseburger... i won't lie i was completely underwhelmed first bite. It was SO salty i could not eat it. The fries were good. My husband got the prime rib which didn't look the best when they brought it out but he said it was amazing!! Kiddie cocktails in wisco you just can't go wrong. Service was okay. There is NO kid menu just an FYI. They did bring our son a coloring book and crayons which was nice. The decor is so cute and all newly renovated. I cannot wait to come back and eat at that delicious salad bar!

I've been wanting to stop in here for a while. There are a lot of mixed reviews for Pub' n Prime which made it hard for me to figure out if I should give it a try. Pub' n Prime is pretty old school looking. I love the mid-century modern looking decor that meets northwoods. There is a cool outside tiki bar that we didn't take advantage of but it was going strong out there. My party sat at the bar for a drink. Cheese spread and crackers on the bar. Very nice. Standard Wisconsin drinks including ice cream drinks are available as well as tropical "slushy" drinks. The staff was great! Super friendly. We had curds and onion strings for appetizers. There were enough for the 5 of us. Our server, Mary was helpful with the menu and we ordered Broasted Chicken...1/2 a chicken. Very moist. Light crunchy breading. Ribs. Nice big slab of fall off (with a nudge) the bone. Nice sweet sauce. Orange Whisky Chicken. A boneless breast grilled and served in a sweet orange sauce. Shrimp. Fried. Pretty basic but good. Prim Rib. It was reported to be a bit salty but it looked good. The sides of asparagus could have been a bit bigger but they were prepared well and tasted good. One of the nicest things is the salad bar of which one trip is included with each entree. Two soups, bread, rolls, green salad mix with all the extras, pasta salad, bean salad, nice choice of dressings. It's great to have salad bars making a comeback. We ordered one piece of homemade Carrot Cake for dessert and it was fabulous! And on top of being a very clean restaurant the bathrooms were also very nice! Pub' n Prime is worth a try. We will bring the family back.

We wanted a supper club on a Sunday and that is a hard find in the north woods. I am so glad we went to pub n prime. My filet was not in expensive but it was awesome. I ate it with mushrooms and the juice from my wife's prime rib. Her prime rib was great. The salad bar hit the spot too. The bartender was friendly, as was our waitress. The owner was so nice. 10 out of 10!!!

The prime rib bites were very good, but overall the food was very average, and overpriced for the quality. Service was slow, but friendly.

To me,…read morethey have the best fish fry in the north woods by far, and it proves that you don't have to go to a fancy supper club to get good eats. The ambiance is a typical north woods bar, you can either eat at the bar or sit at one of the tables in their 'dining room' which houses the slot machines, dart board, and a few other games for kids. They have a wide selection of brews on tap, and have a full bar. The thing that I really love about this place is that everyone who works here is extremely nice. You can tell they love what they do, they're proud of where they live, and they have great senses of humor. Just overall great conversationalists. Now to the food, my favorite part: For appetizers, you HAVE to try their jalapeño poppers. They're the best poppers I've ever had. I believe they are coated in potato breading and they have an awesome zing to them. Never had a popper like it and I'll always compare others to the ones at Timbers. For lunch/dinner, their hamburgers are incredible as well. Super juicy smash burgers on a fluffy bun with the best French fries in the world. A perfect pick me up during snowmobile season or on a nice summer day. On Friday, this is THE spot for fish fry. My family and I have tried so many fish fry places over the year trying to find our favorite, and each time we stray we always leave disappointed wishing we would've just got Timbers instead. To me, what makes their fish fry so great is their portions are extremely generous, you get 4 pieces of fish, a handful of fries, two slices of buttered rye bread, coleslaw, tartar sauce, and a lemon wedge. The way their fish is prepared and battered is my favorite. It doesn't have that super thick, almost pancake batter like breading that tastes like a corn dog. Instead it's very lightly breaded so that it's fish forward with a nice crunch. This is just my preference, but to me, it's the best fish fry I've ever had. I genuinely love this place so much, but I must say that it's obviously super crowded and loud during the tourist seasons. If that bothers you, you can always call in a takeout order so don't like that deter you from checking this place out!

We sat where we had a great view of Big Arbor Vitae Lake across the street. We had the Soup of the Day which was Stuffed Green Pepper soup. That was very good. A lot of ground beef in it. A bowl of it would be a meal. I'd have every one at the table order it and get the Huge Pretzel appetizer to go with it. We ordered and shared The Patty Melt and upgraded to the fries instead of the rippled chips. Great rye bread and grilled just right. My wife would have liked dill rather than bread and butter pickle chips. Next time we'll ask if that's an option. It wasn't a deal breaker. We also had the Walleye Finger Basket. Wow! The Taco Wrap was the highlight of the meal, but it was all delicious. Nitpick would be a lighter batter on the walleye fingers, but it was still good.
