Visitors must obtain a pass from the office to fish and swim which there is a nice little beach and swimming area right in front of the club house. If you want to put your boat in the water you MUST be a property owner and you must register it for Lake Holiday at this office at a $20 fee. There is only one boat ramp and access is restricted unless you have a magnectic pass card for the gate. The lake itself is fairly decent for all types of boating. Its definitely not the biggest lake but still fun to toodle around on and do some fishing. Fish stock: yellow and channel cats, stripers, crappies, and bluegill are the regular catch. Fair warning: They do have security that patrols the lake so if you put your boat on the lake without a registered sticker you'll be fined if caught. Tip: If youre not a property owner and you were looking for a lake to put your boat in at, try Lake Waveland or Raccoon Lake Southwest of here. They are much bigger, and have great fishing.

Incredibly easy, seamless boat rental from start to finish!…read more Online rental makes it easy to see what rentals they have, the days available & the times available. We live an hour and a half away & would not have come to Raccoon Lake if it wasn't for their boat rental! Unlike most boat rentals who only do pontoon rentals, Raccoon Lake also has ski boats & jet skis too. This is a fun thing to do with friends or even just as a couple. Staff is extremely easy-going but keep in mind that they still have rules you need to follow. Just don't be dumb & you'll be fine. We saw people trying to take their dog on the boat (which there are signs everywhere that say not to) and also saw people jumping off their boat while it was in motion. Don't be like those people. Be a smart human. You'll get a fine if you are stupid like this, so if you are hella rich then by all means, be stupid. The Lake is extremely large, so you won't get bored easily. We did 2 hours & thought that was the perfect amount of time! Keep in mind that in addition to your boat rental, you'll also need to pay for gas top-off (for reference, we used a quarter tank & paid $34 for a top off. They set their own gas prices). And you'll also need to pay to get into the State Rec Area ($7). Have fun, it's a blast & will definitely do the three hour round trip to go again!

If you are trying to show someone a fun time on a canoe trip, DO NOT GO HERE!! We got stuck many times and called the office to get help, but they could not help us. They told us we needed to continue dragging our canoes until the very end. Ugh! Nightmare! The rocks were very slippery and my son cut his leg when he slipped trying the drag one of the canoes. It took us FOUR hours to complete the trip and they advertise it as a two hour trip.

So when we got back I spoke with another customer service representative and they told me I DID NOT NEED MY ID. I don't know the name of the older white guy that said that I didn't need my ID, when the lady representative said right after him, we only need 1 ID for the ride and both of us to sign a wavier. Ok so be it, we're here for fun, we've been through enough hoops, let us get on the ride sheesh. We get on and they told us to pedal backwards to get going, so we're off, mind you we only got 30 minutes, when I tell you once we got in the middle of the lake and started to steer the boat either right or left, the boat steering was all out of service. We was trying to go straight and turn either left or right but the boat was going to the right inevitably and has us going in circles upon circles. It got to a point where customers that was on land taking videos of us, and shouted out "you guys are struggling". Of course we were without any help from staff. I called customer service at their establishment and spoke with THE MANAGER NAMED JULIE, forgive me if it's misspelled, however when I spoke to her and let her know our experience today, she completely discredited what I had to say as a first timer customer. I let her know that I paid for my ride and had to travel back to get my ID that wasn't needed, let her know our ride experience, let her know the customer service we experienced, and in the end of our 4 minute call on the company phone number which I hope was recorded, I asked her for a phone number to someone that was higher up then her in the company itself and JULIE HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME THE PERSON ABOVE HER IN KICKAPOO ADVENTURES IS GOD I NEED TO SPEAK TO!!! This is unacceptable and I really hope our conversation was recorded because this was the worst experience ever, especially talking to the manager that's supposed to help and make the customer happy. All we wanted Julie was to know our discomforts within our experience, not even money back or anything, we didn't want anything back we just wanted to let her know our experience and she completely denied any wrongdoing just based off years of service and "no complaints". I'm not saying all this to make people not go however but please be aware of the staff and manager because they don't care. I hope this doesn't get deleted because people need to know experiences there. They only have 20 reviews within 20 years, come on guys the proof is in the pudding. We don't know how to end this unlike the staff that threw the buoy out to us and tried to help at the end with getting us wet, mind you one of the staff said "why do that you got them wet", after we docked we left no words no nothing towards staff. Weather was perfect, crew was helpful, as were other boaters. We had a good time and enjoyed the day. The boat was in good condition. It lacked horsepower, but that is probably a good thing for amateur boaters. A water safety class was required before rental. Be mindful of the capacity limits posted on the boat.

Luckily I noticed this in time. After contacting their service manager and providing them with receipts and pictures; nothing. Completely ghosted me and after multiple attempts they will not respond. Will never be back and am telling this story to as many lake friends as possible.
