Incredibly easy, seamless boat rental from start to finish!…read more Online rental makes it easy to see what rentals they have, the days available & the times available. We live an hour and a half away & would not have come to Raccoon Lake if it wasn't for their boat rental! Unlike most boat rentals who only do pontoon rentals, Raccoon Lake also has ski boats & jet skis too. This is a fun thing to do with friends or even just as a couple. Staff is extremely easy-going but keep in mind that they still have rules you need to follow. Just don't be dumb & you'll be fine. We saw people trying to take their dog on the boat (which there are signs everywhere that say not to) and also saw people jumping off their boat while it was in motion. Don't be like those people. Be a smart human. You'll get a fine if you are stupid like this, so if you are hella rich then by all means, be stupid. The Lake is extremely large, so you won't get bored easily. We did 2 hours & thought that was the perfect amount of time! Keep in mind that in addition to your boat rental, you'll also need to pay for gas top-off (for reference, we used a quarter tank & paid $34 for a top off. They set their own gas prices). And you'll also need to pay to get into the State Rec Area ($7). Have fun, it's a blast & will definitely do the three hour round trip to go again!

Ate a late lunch at Kickapoo Adventures Bar & Grill. Great food - great options! Dined outside with a view of the water. Great service. Highly recommend both experiences.

First and foremost my name is James Clark and I visited Kickapoo Adventures today as of 06/29/2025…read morewith my boyfriend Cale , and I can say it was the worst experience ever. The staff was not helpful at all. First when we get there I paid our $15.00 for Pedal Boat ride, after I paid I was told I needed my ID and sign a wavier, mind you I didn't bring my ID, so we had to drive 30 minutes away to get my ID. So when we got back I spoke with another customer service representative and they told me I DID NOT NEED MY ID. I don't know the name of the older white guy that said that I didn't need my ID, when the lady representative said right after him, we only need 1 ID for the ride and both of us to sign a wavier. Ok so be it, we're here for fun, we've been through enough hoops, let us get on the ride sheesh. We get on and they told us to pedal backwards to get going, so we're off, mind you we only got 30 minutes, when I tell you once we got in the middle of the lake and started to steer the boat either right or left, the boat steering was all out of service. We was trying to go straight and turn either left or right but the boat was going to the right inevitably and has us going in circles upon circles. It got to a point where customers that was on land taking videos of us, and shouted out "you guys are struggling". Of course we were without any help from staff. I called customer service at their establishment and spoke with THE MANAGER NAMED JULIE, forgive me if it's misspelled, however when I spoke to her and let her know our experience today, she completely discredited what I had to say as a first timer customer. I let her know that I paid for my ride and had to travel back to get my ID that wasn't needed, let her know our ride experience, let her know the customer service we experienced, and in the end of our 4 minute call on the company phone number which I hope was recorded, I asked her for a phone number to someone that was higher up then her in the company itself and JULIE HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME THE PERSON ABOVE HER IN KICKAPOO ADVENTURES IS GOD I NEED TO SPEAK TO!!! This is unacceptable and I really hope our conversation was recorded because this was the worst experience ever, especially talking to the manager that's supposed to help and make the customer happy. All we wanted Julie was to know our discomforts within our experience, not even money back or anything, we didn't want anything back we just wanted to let her know our experience and she completely denied any wrongdoing just based off years of service and "no complaints". I'm not saying all this to make people not go however but please be aware of the staff and manager because they don't care. I hope this doesn't get deleted because people need to know experiences there. They only have 20 reviews within 20 years, come on guys the proof is in the pudding. I wish I could've spoke to Tom because apparently his name is on the Web to contact. With Julie saying I need to speak to God, please let me speak to Tom because Julie I pray and talk to MY GOD everyday thank you. My experience talking to Julie was unacceptable, what caught her off guard and made her defensive was the fact that I told her she discredited our experience!! How is that far. Not once did we get an IM SORRY!! We did not get no apology at all. Julie we expressed how we felt as customers and you don't want to hear negative aspects about experiences. We don't know how to end this unlike the staff that threw the buoy out to us and tried to help at the end with getting us wet, mind you one of the staff said "why do that you got them wet", after we docked we left no words no nothing towards staff. Tom I hope this reaches you or anyone else higher up in the Kickapoo Adventures Administration, period point blank. Thank you, I wish it was under better circumstances.

Customer service here is terrible and had declined 100% in the last few years. I'm only giving this…read more2 stars because of how amazing Steve is and the sales team is. But everything else is just trash. I purchased a brand new boat last summer. I took it got to be winterized and to warranty fix my boat cover that started to tear. I picked it up and the fall afterwards and didn't look too closely. They fixed the button but not the tear. They also left greasy dirty hand prints and dirty foot prints all over my boat that were such a pain to clean up. I didn't notice the tear was till there until I pulled it out of storage. My fault for not looking at it when I picked it up in the fall. I had it brought back to fix the tear. They fixed it but they left my boat outside in the rain. To fix the cover. A bird took a crap on the back seat. They then didn't put one pole in and put another pole so tight they couldn't snap all the buttons and now another button is tearing because of it. I went to clean the bird poop off and it left behind a yellow stain that I have no idea how to get off now. Also when I picked up the bait my 7 by 5 pin adapter is no longer connected to the boat which I always leave connected. They also winterized my waverunner and when they disconnected the negative terminal from the battery they did not put the screw back in so I had to go find a new screw. They do not care about your property. I would not recommend you use them to take care of yours.

But after storing it at the marina prior to picking up for the first time, I found the trailer's guide poles missing, and while the sales team couldn't help, I replaced them myself. These guide poles are unique to MasterCraft trailers. When I tried towing, the trailer wiring was faulty. I fixed the ground wire and got it working. I launched the boat at my local dock, but on the first outing, the bilge pump started working overtime. I discovered the leak was from a wire running out of the transom. It took nearly four weeks as it was busy season starting the summer to get the boat into service for the local marina to fix it. Once back in the water, I found additional issues of two unsealed seacocks causing leaks, which I fixed with marine sealant. However, water kept accumulating in the bilge, and the battery alarm went off after an hour. The port ballast pump also didn't work. I took the boat back to the local marina, who later found an inboard shaft leak, a bad alternator, and faulty ballast wiring. By this point, I was frustrated--my family had only used the boat three times having to pull it out of water each run, and I'd missed great weather. Culver Portside Marina had assured me the boat was "water-ready," but they admitted it wasn't tested before sale when contacting them on the most current 3 issues being repaired and my experience so far. They offered no help with the repairs, despite me asking for at least 50% of the repair costs. The sale was "as is," per the owner of Culver Portside but these issues should've been addressed before posting sale or disclosed during the sale had it properly been tested Now we have a $1,300 repair estimate immediately after the purchase . I'd recommend anyone buying from Culver Portside ensure a thorough documented inspection and test everything before purchase, especially since it's mid-July, and I'm still waiting for repairs to finish. With school starting soon, it's tough explaining the situation to kids who were once excited upon hearing of the purchase. This was a boat they claimed to have been serviced by them the past few years.
