The food was fine. The cinnamon rolls w Are as big as your head. The real issue came when I went to the restroom. There were mouse tracks and a mouse stuck to a glue trap. Look, I get it, pests can be an issue in restaurants. But you have to clean that up before a customer sees it. This is a big "never again" for me.

Stayed across the street for a night on our road trip and this was a perfect little breakfast stop. Fresh baked cinnamon rolls that were still warm, big breakfast burritos, nice staff and decent coffee

We went there to eat tonight and ordered a taco pizza with black and banana peppers. The total should have been at most 2o bucks we were charged 25.00 and she did not give us a bill or a receipt so we have no idea where the other 5 dollars went! BUT the worst part was a NAPKin was found in the taco salad and the olives in the pizza were rotten! The server told us "it's your fault, you should have ordered something better!!!" STAY AWAy from this place!!!!

Empty lobby should have been our first clue.

For being the only patrons in the establishment I feel it's safe to bet you'd expect excellent service. While the waitress was polite she didn't seem invested. My husband asked what was most popular and she provided a few options. After placing our order she came back to our table to let us know they didn't have what they needed to make what he ordered. While reviewing the menu again the establishment received a phone call. A gentleman in the other room stated he didn't have the information requested because they had been VERY BUSY. If I was in charge I'd pull the POS system receipts and see just how busy they were. The place was a ghost town. I ordered a chefs salad and it was not what I expected. While I'm not from the area I thought a chefs salad was a standard menu item. The ranch dressing was super tasty and the white bread was alright. As we exited we said thank you and a different young lady hurried to our table to clean up.

The food and service is great. Only down fall is you can't order half sandwiches. Had gastric bypass and can't eat a full sandwich.

We've tried the steaks (tender and flavorful), sandwiches (yum! -- the cheesesteak seems packed with flavor and the grilled chicken is tender and juicy), fish and chips (not over-cooked -- lightly battered), and salads (fresh). Save -- if you can -- room for dessert! Everything is great, the portions are generous, and the price is reasonable (a rare find these days). Also, Josh (chef and co-owner) is a deep-fry master. His waffle fries, mozzarella sticks, and mushrooms are over-the-top. Josh sometimes steps out of the kitchen to greet customers and make sure everything is OK. The rest of the staff follow his lead for friendly service. If you get the chance, check out the adjacent, beautiful wine tasting room for Lake Barkley Winery. In addition to tastings from proprietor and builder, Bill, you can pick up some great local wines or some California varieties. Not only did Bill build the tasting room by hand (along with the entire building), he's the vintner who created the local wines from grapes he grew nearby. Get some of his local wine before he runs out of it. The California wines are from a vineyard his relative owns. This really is a family business! The tasting room is gorgeous and could be a great place to rent out for an elegant event. I hear JJ's and Lake Barkley are close to opening a banquet facility upstairs -- can't wait to see that!

They do have transient slips available but we normally put in transient where cable, supplies and more amenities were available. For more info check out their website below. What you will find here is indeed fuel at their easily accessible fuel dock, as mentioned above there's transient docking available as well as annual slip rentals with free pump-outs. Their restaurant is Hu-B's and they serve breakfast, lunch & dinner. there's a breakfast buffet Saturdays & Sundays from 8am-11am May through September, while their daily lunch & dinner menu is pretty extensive with lots of tasty burgers, chicken, steak, bbq & grilled cheese sandwiches & wraps. You can also get baskets of shrimp, fish & a BLT. There are lots of fun starters, side and a few salads so there's a number of nice choices. My fave is actually cranberry chicken salad but the burger is really good too. Of course, you will learn when traversing the TN River from the Ohio all the way to Mobile, AL & the Gulf of Mexico that you will run into dry counties, especially in KY & MS and this little spot is DRY. So if you're like most prepared sailors you will be just fine because your coolers & fridges are perpetually stocked with the appropriate libations :-) Bottom line: This is a okay top for food & fuel but not a lot of other services. It's a bit shallow but if I can get my Hunter 310 in there with a 4.5' draft you should be fine. Note the marina is currently closed and scheduled to reopen April 2nd 2020. Unfortunately we put our foot in our month when we took 2 other couples with us. 3 of us ordered the catfish sandwich but the fish was minimal. Usually the sandwich has so much fish you take some home. Sadly there was more bun than fish. Two of our friends that ordered the fish sandwich are big men. I felt so bad recommending the fish sandwich that I had to apologize to them. Please do not skimp on the fish. We hadn't gone there in a while since the fish sandwich episode but stopped again before the end of summer this time for lunch. My husband & I ordered the pizza this time which is always good. First they were out of the beer my husband ordered, then we waited 50 min for our pizza. I felt sorry for the waitress who stopped by our table to apologize. When she stopped a second time, we asked what was the problem. The waitress said they didn't have green peppers for the sausage & green pepper pizza we ordered so someone went to the store to buy it. We said someone could have told us & we would have switched to mushrooms. She said we didn't have mushrooms either. We laughed & said you have a veggie pizza on the menu. ?!? It was a Friday afternoon with several weekends left in the summer. Why would you not be stocked up?! When she delivered the pizza she said they now had the original beer my husband asked for first. Wth!!! The kicker was when we went to pay with a $100 bill but they had no change. Not a good way for a business to start a weekend! Crazy! We hope next year will be better!
