I have lived in the tri-state area all of my life. I have been all over Kentucky and Southern Indiana. I have been to more coffee and donut places than you can shake a stick at. Grocery stores, gas stations, anything that looked like it would be a best friend to my taste buds. No pastry shop holds a candle to the world famous Rolling Pin donuts. They are practically a food group! If God Himself came to Earth to experience a donut, The Rolling Pin is the ONLY shop I would recommend. My son-in-law moved here from California and he only accepts Rolling Pin. They make their donuts FRESH everyday. They sell out quick, especially on Sundays when the church crowd either picks them up before service or after. If you are passing through Owensboro early in the mornings, stop by Rolling Pin. When I lived there, Rolling Pin donuts, coffee, and the Sunday paper was Heaven for me. I hope they have Rolling Pin donuts in Heaven! read more

Visited from Phoenix to see family. My mom grew up on the rolling pin and we picked up three dozen items. My mom was in heaven while enjoying her pecan roll. These are the doughnuts I grew up on. Rolling Pin was always a treat. My brother and I have always loved the holes. The long johns here are unlike I've had anywhere else, the icing is special. The earlier you can make it in, the better. You will avoid the lines and they will be fresher. Rolling pin has other great treats such as cookies and candy at certain times of year. I'm new in town and I went there for first time and the ladies behind the counter were extraordinarily nice. I ordered a few different things to try. They were all excellent.
