Old Glory Antiques & Vintage - I bought it!

Well, I used to go to this vintage store regularly. I and my husband (who collects hot wheels) has…read morebought several things but lately within the past year it has gone down hill and seems to be more of a junk shop with a few "antiques". Also the owner is very rude. Apparently he feels it's ok to yell at customers if you are standing in front of his door. I was embarrassed and upset. Oh well I don't need more junk so I will tell my friends to go elsewhere.

I used to frequent this shop, but over the past several months, it's become a collection of junk,…read moreand the owner ensured today was my last visit. Not only were a couple of booths literally just actual trash, while I was standing there wanting to potentially buy something in a case, he and another person started loudly complaining about Democrats "stealing their money" and "giving it to *other* people." I've suspected the owner was probably conservative before that, but never cared to confirm it. Today's tirade, though, is something I can't overlook. I was extremely uncomfortable with the hostility. So I left, and won't be back. I'm sure some conservatives may get a kick out of this, but shouldn't they be wanting a liberal to buy an American flag? I won't be back. Even if this has been an anti-conservative tirade, I would have been put off. I was there to destress from the political dumpster fire we're in, not to be subject to political b*tching so loud so suddenly that it's hard to imagine it wasn't on purpose. I'm done with them. The decline in item quality was already enough. This sealed it.

Very cute clothes that are priced certainly 60% of what they'd sell in retail. Cute jewelry as well. I got my Graduation dinner dress here. The reviews stating that the store wasn't open when they popped in have to realize the store is open based on customer demand. If you come in during January when people are still recovering from overspending on Christmas, it's not going to be open as late as if everyone's tax returns just hit. The store is almost always open before 4. Just come in then. Small businesses can't pay employees during hours where people are not in the store, that's silly. Melissa is amazing, if you write a review over a minor inconvenience that stays on the businesses track record forever.

Some of the items are priced like new items. $22 for a small plain white shelf I could get at Target. $50 for some shelves I could get on Amazon. I wouldn't pay like new prices for used, sorry. They have antiques as well but also priced very high, is it worth it? Maybe to someone. Also it has a bit of a strange smell, I was getting a bit nauseous. On the bright side the shop is organized and they have a wide variety of items but it wasnt for me.

This store is definitely mid-century- 1950s. There is tons of variety and selection in that timeframe.

About 5 minuets before it closed we went to the check out and I was still contemplating what I should get. While the man at the check out saw me do this he started to become very very aggressive, telling me he had places to me. (And I mean aggressive to the point I thought I was going to get stabbed) For three items it was already 80 dollars so I asked him if he could remove an item. He told me how big of an issue that is and started to become more aggressive. Tearing the receipt off very harsh (Noted it was just me and my friend and in the store, both miners and girls ). He then started cussing and dropping the f bomb an absurd amount. So no other people could come into the store he locked the outside doors and that freaked me out( we could leave from the inside, so it wasn't like we were trapped) If you want to be treated like a human being, do not come to this store. Please work on your service and I pray this man isn't your manager, and if so I hope this business closes The clothes were nice and stylish just so pricy I had to drop a 8/10 to a 5/10
