Excellent for dogs needing special attention. my dog is 12 years old with degenerative hip disease causing weak back legs. He Needs help getting up off floor and also needs to get medication with morning and night feeding. I trust leaving him here since I know he gets the special attention he needs. We recently had our 2-year-old Labradoodle stay with Steve at Our Home Dog Boarding -- and I intentionally say "stay" and not "board," because this is not your typical boarding service. It's truly dog sitting in a warm, welcoming home environment. From the start, Steve was excellent. He responded quickly to all our questions, both before and during the stay. His home is laid out perfectly for pet guests: an open layout with a large, secure yard that gives the dogs room to play and relax. Steve was so attentive and accommodating to our dog's needs -- from his diet and sleep preferences to his outdoor schedule. It was clear he took the time to get to know our dog and make him comfortable. The cost was very reasonable, but honestly, the most telling part of this experience came at pickup. After seven days, our dog greeted us joyfully -- tail up, wagging, and still playing with the other dogs. In the past, after boarding elsewhere, he'd be timid, tail down, and visibly upset for a day or two. This time was different -- he looked happy, healthy, and relaxed. While he was a bit dirty from a full week of outdoor fun, his eyes were clear, with no tear stains or buildup -- a small but telling sign that he'd been active, stimulated, and well cared for. We are so grateful to Steve and his team. I don't think we'll ever go back to traditional boarding as long as this amazing service is available. After hearing nothing but great things from my parents, we called Steven to arrange a stay for an upcoming vacation with our English Labrador Chooch. Within 1 day we were placed with Diane and had a meet and greet scheduled for that same weekend. The meet and greet went well, and we had no doubt that Chooch would be in great hands. We picked up Chooch earlier today following a 3 day stay. It was clear that he was very well cared for and in the best of hands. He came home tired and happy - leaving us extremely happy with our decision to call. The peace of mind offered by knowing he was safe and in a loving home was worth more than any monetary payment. My dog Rhett Butler has been a part of the Our Home Dog Boarding family since May 2015. He used to board with Camp Bow Wow which worked for me. I couldn't leave him there for 3 days or more though. When I picked him up I noticed he was nervous. I started watching the cameras more and noticed that Rhett would sit under foot of the boarding staff practically the entire time. I still think that place is great but my dog didn't do well in that environment. He doesn't like to be crated and loves constant affection. I travel for a lot and don't want to worry about my baby when I'm away trying to bring home the beggin' strips. It's my fault I've spoiled him. Luckily for both of us I found Our Home Dog Boarding. When I read the owner's story as to why he started the business I knew this would be the right fit. The sitters who are a part of this network are dog lovers who will not crate your dog. They have spaces where your dog can run free and get plenty of exercise. The first sitter we used was great, Kim, but her home was out of the way for me. I switched to Diane who is now officially Rhett's doggie grandmother. He gets plenty of kisses and cuddles and I don't think he misses me a for a second when he's with her. I am so happy with my choice. I never worry when I travel now I know Rhett is in good hands. Steven, the owner is super responsive and willing to help you find the right fit for your dog. I've been a "lurker" on yelp for a long time, and have never written my own review. However, I am such a "raving fan" about Our Home Dog Boarding that I wanted to share my experience. We have a 2 year old lab named Bismarck and we are extremely over protective of him. I work from home and we rarely leave him home alone. If we aren't around he usually stays with our family, but on a rare occasionally we need help if we are going out of town for an extended period. We could never dream of leaving him at a kennel...he's our baby and we would never enjoy our vacation with the thought of him in a cage!! So, when I saw the website and news video for Our Home Dog Boarding I was excited that someone would take Biz into their home and treat him like family. Each time we have used the service, we have been BEYOND thrilled. Each family is wonderful and so accommodating of or "check up" texts and calls to make sure he is doing well. Steven is friendly, professional and responsive, and I truly believe that he cares about his clients happiness with his service (both furry and human). We have used Our Home Dig Boarding service for two of our dogs. First was Buddy, an over active, smart, cute Cocker Spaniel pup we rescued from the puppy mills. His care was wonderful and he loved to okay with the big dogs. He died from seizures at ten months, and everyone at Our Home was so supportive at that sad time. Now we have another Cocker rescue, Charlie, who is almost a year old. When he drive him to what we call "Camp Cathy" he can't wait to get out of the car. She takes excellent care of the dogs, keeps the yard and house impeccably clean and keeps them on a schedule. Couldn't ask for better, more caring day or overnight care for our little Charlie. read more

Do NOT board your pets here. Very unprofessional, and even though the guy booking the boarding sounds nice on the phone, I could not know in advance which pets were going to be co-boarding with my dog, and she hates cats. They didn't even bother to do a behavior assessment to make sure my dog was paired with the right people. When you really look into it, you can see they don't care about anything but charging your card. Will NEVER be using this place ever again! read more

I am so glad to know Our Home Dog Boarding. Every time I need to travel overseas the biggest concern was my little baby girl. I had literally been to every dog kennels and boarding facilities and I could not any place I could trust enough to put my dog in for a long period of time. Then I found this jewel! Steve and Bambi takes such a good care of my dog and I get emails with video clips and pictures. Most of the home stays have back yards and loving family. You can call the host family as many and as often as you'd like to check upon on your pooches. They also provide pick up/drop off service (with extra charges) for your convenience. I no longer have to worry about my baby being miserable at some sort of small kennel waiting for me to come because when I come back to pick her up she seems disappointed to go back home since she's been having so much fun with her other pooch friends. They are the people you can really trust and once you try once you will be keep going back to them for more and more services! read more

Our Home Dog Boarding was recommended to us by a friend who had been using Steve for several years. We have now been using him for our goldendoodle for about 7 years and couldn't be happier. Our dog practically jumps out of my car window to get to Steve when I get to his house to drop her off and never looks back at me. If he comes to pick her up, she runs out the front door and right into his van. I am not sure who loves who more, Steve or my dog. It is so reassuring to know that when we go away whether for a couple of days or a couple of weeks, my dog is in the best care I could possibly get. She is loved like she is his own dog and his house is the perfect set up for a home dog boarding business. The dogs have free reign of his home and his fenced in yard. so glad someone posted about this place. I unfortunately used them for my two dogs and had a horrible experience. They were not flexible when I had to drop off my dogs at a later time than agreed (even though I called in advance to let them know), and when I got there the lady they assigned my dogs to, did not answer the door for nearly half hour because she was bathing her toddler even though I told her I was on my way... and by the way, they mentioned nothing about having toddlers. My dogs don't like very small children, and as a responsible dog owner I do not let them come near children for the children's protection. The owner did not bother to do a behavior assessment with my dogs either, and I had already made plans for the night. It was a surprise to me that this woman had a puppy she was being paid to watch, and they didn't even ask for my dogs VACCINE RECORDS!! she refused to bring the puppy out of the basement to introduce it to my dogs. Pressured by my commitment and this lady assuring me she will take care of my dogs, I let them stay until I could pick them up at night against my better judgement. However, I had to call to let them know there was an accident on road and I was going to be 45 min late, she had the nerve to tell me I have no choice but to get them in the morning, even though their website states that they allow late night pick ups! and not in a nice way. I told her I would pick them up first thing in the morning at her convenience. She gave me the time. My husband showed up to get the dogs 5 min early, and she took forever to open the door, had just woken up and my dogs had not even gone outside to pee!!! unbelievable. AND they charged me for the full day. Because of her lack of care and oversleeping, she did not pack all of my dogs things (which I had packed neatly in a bag when I dropped them off). My husband not knowing what I had packed, came home with the missing items, and we immediately called to get her to meet us half way at least. She was extremely RUDE, and not only was her tone of voice completely out of line, she hung up on my husband!!! She refused to meet us and said if we wanted my dogs' items we had to drive back to her house, and she didn't even have the courtesy to give it to us personally, she just left them outside, on the driveway. I tried to reason with the owner, the guy in charge of this business, and he had the nerve to yell at me and tell me he did not want to deal with me because I had complained that this woman was not opening the door (after 20min waiting outside) and he was at his grandma's party. In what world is it ok as a business owner to treat people like this? It doesn't matter what social life he wants to have, bottom line, he has a commitment to his clients, and if the family he paired my dogs with does not come through, it is HIS responsibility to do something about it. I tried to report them to the BBB but they never responded to their requests to communicate his side of the story to them and they are not registered (owner lied to me and said they were)... ummmm I wonder why... DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE DOGS, AND THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF AT A KENNEL. I regret the day I found them on the internet.
