It has been an exciting, enriching and rewarding experience for all three. Even though we live in a community with a nationally ranked public school system, we chose Wellington because of the small class size and personal attention that a school of Wellington's size can deliver. We have not been disappointed. Our children thrive academically. They also have the opportunity to be in the band, play three different sports (lax, basketball and soccer) throughout the year without worries of being cut from the team (Wellington has a "no cuts" policy) and they can be in theater productions. Wellington encourages diversity in student interests and demonstrates its commitment to diversity in its teachers and in the students it accepts. Wellington parents are friendly, involved and welcome at Wellington. While some schools emphasize "rigor," Wellington seeks "engagement." Wellington students are engaged, active learners who generally are inspired to learn more, do more. It's an amazing place.

He loves to go outdoors in the natural play area. Recently, he showed off his ability to add "really big numbers" and how he's now sounding out words. CMC lives up to everything Montessori should be--hands on, self-guided, and collaborative. The classroom is beautifully laid out so the kids can move around, preparing snack or doing a big "work" on a rug. I would highly recommend CMC for anyone interested in full day child care and who believes in the beauty of a Montessori education.

My son went to the kiwi clubhouse in Gahanna the teachers LOVED my son anytime my son came in they were all so friendly at THAT location When i came in yesterday to pick up my son the director was so friendly to all white parents keeping conversations with them. But when i walked in it was very short. Explained to the white parents what they did in class and just brought my son out and said bye. Then i proceed to bring my son in this morning and instantly walked in and told me a problem they had with my son the day before. Why not mention that last night at pick up? Told me my son put kids in a head lock etc. wether that were true or not the way they were with my son was as if they were disgusted with him. Mind you he's 2. He's learning. While the behavior is terrible and he's never done it at home or have never heard that from the previous kiwi club house the way they approached it and how they had been with me and my son since i dropped him off the first day. Was terrible so i removed us completely Whites only daycare. Sharing this on all my Instagram play forms as well. I'm completely disgusted.

The teachers are also all extremely caring and all receive Montessori training, all of which have contributed to our son's growth and his love for attending school every day. I also appreciate the low stimulation environment allowing the children to work together to learn and explore the world around them. They also go out of their way to also make holidays and life events special. They have both an outdoor and indoor play area which is key in ensuring children have active time every single day regardless of weather. Stonybrook ELC is one of the two best preschools in Gahanna. It offers small class sizes and two…read moreteachers for each class. The director of the school, Becky Kidwell, is very sweet and accomidating. She often stops in the classrooms to get to know the chlidren and their families. The staff is very warm and is devoted to helping prepare the children for school. The curriculum has an academic focus and the children learn to write their names, bring items from home to share for each letter of the alphabet, enjoy singing with the music teacher once a week and benefit from a very nice outdoor playground and an inside gym room with equipment, parachuttes, balls, and scooters. The school does not do field trips, which differentiates it from the other local preschool at St. Luke's. Like all schools, some teachers in this school are favored over others, and the teacher responsible for the 5-year-old preschool class is one of the best teachers I've ever met. She is warm, keeps her kids in line, ensures they are ready for kindergarten, and truly cares about the welfare of the children. The school offers two-day, three-day, and 5-day programs and all of its classes are half day (9-11:30 or 12:30-3). The rates are very affordable. Registration for the following year opens to the public opens in February every year and some years, spots in the school fill up quickly-especially for the morning programs. On registration day, parents often line up at 6am. While the school was founded by and is housed at Stonybrook United Methodist Church, they do not teach religion in the classes and the preschool is a seperate entity from the church. The school hosts a Halloween Parade of Costumes, a Thanksgiving Feast, Valentine's Day and Christmas parties, which all classes participate in. My only complaint with the school is that it does not offer curb-side check in for children. This is a minor detail but, for me, it meant that I had to park my van and lug my 3-year-old and her 1-year-old twin sisters in and out of the crowded hallways with all the other parents for pick ups and drop offs-no easy feat. Our experience with this preschool for all three of my children has been excellent.

I have been to several events there and met many alums: wonderful, smart, strong women. The campus is beautiful, the teachers clearly love their jobs and the girls, and CSG looks to be the best place in central Ohio to get a college-prep education. Baby K might go there. I say might because it is outrageously expensive. So, start saving now. But it is worth it. There are so many opportunities at CSG (and there are scholarships.) The world is your oyster, and the support for students and alumni is impressive.
