We feel such great comfort in knowing that our daughter will be treated like one of their own and will be safe at all times. We transferred from another daycare due to not feeling this same sense of comfort there. We have also seen such tremendous growth in all areas of development and I really think this is a testament to the Montessori style of learning and the school overall. The class ratios are also small, meaning more attention and personalization for each student. As a self proclaimed helicopter parent, I was surprised at how much ease I felt with her starting a new school. I also feel heard every time I bring something up to a teacher or Sadhana that we have been trying at home or with occupational therapy. There is nothing like it in the area, in my opinion- Sadhana and the teachers create opportunities to build community with other parents and not only a casual wave in a hall. The school is small, with three preschool/kindergarten rooms and a toddler room. The wonderful staff is led by the Director, Ms. Sadhana Arun, who is a smart, loving woman who really understands and implements the Montessori philosophy beautifully. My first clue that this was a supportive and welcoming place was watching all the children race up and hug Ms. Sadhana as each one left for home in the afternoon. The teachers know all the children's names and because all the rooms are mixed age, there is an amazing sense of community among all the children who attend, that I haven't seen at any other pre-school/daycare. Our daughter blossomed at Hilliard Montessori. She gained amazing self-confidence, as well as math, science, and reading skills. She also developed a strong sense of her own ability to affect positive change in the world around her. I also appreciated the diversity of both the teaching staff and the families who attend the school. There are so many cultures, languages, and backgrounds represented. The family potlucks and celebrations were like world travel, without leaving home. My only regret is that my daughter has now aged out of their program and she can't continue to be a daily member of this loving community and learn from such amazing teachers. Indianola is an alternative school that allows kids to be kids - you start each day on the "carpet" as a group and then go to work stations around the classroom depending on what you want to pursue. Age groups are mixed, diversity is omnipresent and creativity ensues! I was mapping constellations in 3rd grade and did a project on Kwanzaa in 4th... not your run-of-the-mill elementary school experience. And try finding a better school motto than "friends are like rainbows." Can I go back to school here now? Please?

The grounds are beautiful and I suggest that if you have an event here, that you arrive early so you can take a quick walk around and check out the site. There is a nice area where you can sit on benches around which there are memorials to the different leadership of the College. I wish I could have had a chance to go into some of the other buildings as the main one is especially pretty on the outside and I can only imagine is grandeur on the inside.

Hoping that the event would be held at polished and corporate location, I was pleasantly surprised that this location lived up to my expectations. Ambiance: The Mitchell Hall is the state-of-the-art facility with modern architecture and plenty of natural light. The first floor features multiple kitchens, culinary labs, bakery, culinary theater, Degrees restaurant, Blend Café, and a boardroom. I walked around during the conference break curious about the interior. It's modern, contemporary, and clean. Most of my time was spent at the event center on the second floor. The campus is right in the heart of Columbus. The event center provides a panoramic view of downtown Columbus, and there's a nice balcony. The space conveniently welcomed us (hundreds of attendees), had a stage, and many networking nooks. I found it very convenient to have seating separate from the conference room to unwind. Parking: Multiple parking lots are available onsite. Each parking lot is clearly marked for intended users - students, faculty, or specific groups. QR codes can be conveniently scanned for parking, number of hours selected. It has to be the most modern parking system I have seen on college campuses. It was quite complex to find the parking lots closest to the events due to small font numeration system. I'd recommend this facility to anyone looking to host events. It provides enough seclusion from the downtown chaos and modern ambiance. It's a presentable location with versatile space options.
