Update after owner's response: All 5+ machines I looked at were filthy, 45 minutes after opening. This is a normal and acceptable amount of crap in a washer? Do better. I'm going from loyal customer here to never coming back. I had slowly stopped coming to the clintonville coin-op when I noticed a decline in their cleanliness shortly after they reopened. I started visiting other laundromats. I came back to give coin-op a try again and I'm disgusted to see they haven't improved their cleaning at all. This is the inside of the first machine I stopped at, 45 minutes into the day's opening, with the attendant chilling at the desk. So I skip the machine and go check some others. Checked at least four other machines. Each one was filthy. Dog hair, lint, gunk, coins, KIBBLE?? I found the cleanest one I could and wiped out the inside as much as I was able (it was still pretty grimy). Honestly I regret doing that wash. When it was over, I ended up just grabbing the 'clean' clothes and the rest of my clothes and putting them back in my car. No idea where I'm going to wash them next, but it's definitely not here. I counted last time I was there (Nov 2025), and 20% of their machines were down. That's 1 in 5 and that is not an exaggeration. So if you go and it looks to only have a few people inside, there's a good chance that every washer will be occupied upon arrival. I made a trip to clintonville laundry when my washing machine broke down. i could not find a machine in the place that was clean. top loaders where full of debri and have obviously not been cleaned regularly. many of the machines I opened had visible debri just sitting in the tub . cycles were short with not too many options and stains did not come out of several items. on the positive crowd was friendly and helpful. overall store was clean with good parking options out front and in rear. read more

First time in a Laundromat in probably 20 years. I got a new comforter that is too large for my machine at home so I decided to take my stuff to a laundromat to wash it and some bed pillows. I chose Clintonville Coin Laundry based on the Yelp reviews and because it was in a safe neighborhood. I was reading some many of the horrible reviews from other places that I didn't want to take the chance of losing my life or my laundry lol. It appears clean and organized. The lady behind the counter was busy but helpful with change. The machines use $1 dollar coins so don't bother bringing a bunch of quarters. You'll need to use cash in the machine to get $1 dollar coins. There are only 2 large washing machines to wash things like comforters and blankets so I had to wait awhile to get access to a large enough washer. Sucks! It cost $4 to wash the comforter and I'm anticipating about the same to fully dry the comforter. Over all it is an ok experience but feel it is expensive. Also disappointed in having to wait so long to get access to the only two washers large enough for my items. read more

Lol kidding, this laundry mat has so many great cafes and bakeries near it, I just find it as an excuse to go shopping when my clothes are drying or go for a long walk with some coffee up-and-down High street. My dryer caught on fire here. The only attendant didn't know how to work a fire extinguisher, so I put the fire out. The attendant told me that the owner would replace my stuff no problem. The owner made me return to the store 3 separate times to write down what was destroyed and then proceeded to say the insurance company would only give me $50. The laundry situation in my apartment complex is abysmal, so for laundry I usually go to Clintonville Coin Laundry or go home to my parents. This is your standard coin operated laundromat. It is very clean, the machines do their job, and the prices are not outrageous. They have quarter machines as well as a machine for dollar coins as a few of the washers and dryers take them, but they're only $1! What stands out most is the friendly service behind the counter. They are always very helpful and greet you when you arrive and leave. This is my go-to place for laundry and it will be until I get some machines of my own. read more

Just in town for a week so I was not familiar with the area. I had machines available at the hotel but I avoid the hotel laundry machines as they tend to be overpriced and in short supply. I went based on the Yelp recommendations and wasn't disappointed. Located in a strip off buildings on High St there in some street parking and there is also parking around back as well. The inside is well maintained and clean. They have ample washers and dryers as well. Prices were reasonable $3 for my one load for the washer and $1 for 48 minutes in the dryer. The odd thing here and I've seen others talk about it all the machines uses $1 coins. Do not worry there is a bill changer that will give you $1 coins or you can exchange your coins with the attendant for paper bills then use the bill changer. When I was done I was able to turn my $1 coins in for bills no problem. There is Wi-Fi, vending and a sitting area. They have laundry supplies available with vending machines. They have laundry drop off services and dry cleaning available as well. This is my first time here and if my travels find me in need of a laundromat I will definitely come here and I would recommend you come here too! read more

So 24 minutes and $2.50 for a wash is good. My hometown laundromat only charges $2.00 but it takes 36 minutes. That's so nice! But then the dryers... So at first glance it seems cheaper. Only 25 cents for 12 minutes!! Wow! Normally that gets me 6 minutes at other places. So I have it set to dry for 24 minutes - this is typically more than enough to get the job done. But it wasn't. To be fair, I had quite a few cardigans and sweatpants. I know those can take longer....even if the washers here only take smaller loads. But it took an extra 12 minutes and then 12 minutes more...totally screwed up my dinner plans that had to be pushed back and was annoying. I mean...48 minutes in a dryer? Really?? This is foolish. I suggest they need better dryers. On the plus, free wifi that works well. A good amount of seating, including tables. A TV, coffee and vending machine. This is a good balance between quality and cost. I've been to a newer place, but it was way to expensive. Dirty dungarees is cheaper, but pretty gross. This place isn't new, but it's clean, and not too expensive. Also, the people who work here are really nice. This is a review of the dry cleaning services only. I moved cross-country in July. My clothes had been sitting in a Budget moving truck for over a week and kind of smelled musty, so I wanted to just clean everything before I put stuff away. Over the course of a week or two, I brought ALL my dry cleaning to Clintonville Coin. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The prices were basically normal dry cleaning rates (as far as I could tell). I really hate to write negative reviews, but three things happened that made me feel that I should write this. 1) I asked them to expedite cleaning a suit for for an important event I was attending. I picked it up, and the jacket looked great. When I went to put it on the morning of the event, the pants DID NOT MATCH the jacket. I had to run to class, but I had my husband run over during the day. Thankfully, they had my pants and I was able to put the suit on before the event. 2) I gave them three shirts that had metal accents/decorations. I have owned all three of these shirts for many years and have never had trouble dry cleaning them. A few days after I dropped them off, someone called me to tell me that one of the shirts "broke" (see picture of white shirt with metal piece). Ok, I figured these things happen. They offered me $20 off my bill which seemed fair. I picked up the shirts and noticed that the other TWO shirts were also damaged (see picture of mustard shirt, I also have an identical shirt in blue). They are definitely fix-able, but I am a busy student. Now, I will have to go to a jewelry place and pay to have the strands reattached which is a huge pain. Not to mention, the guy called me to tell me that the shirt was destroyed and didn't let me know that the other two were also damaged. 3) Two sweaters that I picked up had stains on them. OK, I am kind of klutzy, and it's totally possible that I get things on my clothes (food, coffee, etc). I just think it's quite a coincidence that these two sweaters were together in one bundle (on top) and both had several stains on them. It's a shame because the staff at CCLDC is amazing and nice, and my button-down shirts and slacks came out OK. I just need to find a place that I can trust with delicate items. read more

Wow this place is pure bull#%it . Had good service from the young black guy on the days shift. Clothes neatly folded good service. Did a later in the day, same day drop off another time with a woman working and none of my underwear or my wife's panties were folded. She didn't even attempted to fold. Just stuffed them in the top of the pile the rest of the clothes which were only half ass folded at best. If I have to refold everything I will just do my own wash. Like I do when I am at home. We have been on the road for 10 days so drop off service was the best option. Next day additional update when we finally got around to unpacking the clothes and we saw that less then 30% of our clothes were actually folded. Only the big items like jeans and t shirts everything else was just stuffed in the bag. They also offer dry-cleaning and wash-n-fold service (though I can't speak to either). I've used this laundry spot since before my son was born. Today on Mother's Day I've never felt so disrespected and picked on. Any other time nobody has an issue if i push my son in the cart because i can not change loads and watch a 2 year old. I'm a single mother and i have no choice but to bring it. Since i walked in the YOUNG LAUNDRY police boy had it out for me. Told me i couldn't push my son in the cart, i put 45 min in the dryers left, ate, HAD MY PHONE ON A TIMER, i wasn't gone but 40 min i come back and he removed all my clothes WET and threw them in bags. He said i had them sitting forever and he had to take them out. I'm NOT sorry but I've never experienced such an uptight prick. The laundry police?! So why didn't you ask the man with 5 items in the large dryers to use a different dryer for somebody who comes and spends $30+?! Or how bout all the other customers wet clothes sitting in washers that i could have used but instead i had to use 5 different washers because he wasn't policing everybody else BUT ME!!!!! Very clean environment. Prices are a bit high but the facilities operate effectively. When a machine didnt start for me the manager was very professional and offered to refund my payment. The machines also have a variety of settings to meet all sort of cleaning needs. The other patrons were also very friendly. It's also right next to several coffee shops if you need to grab something to drink while you wait for your load to be done. I would rate it five stars if the prices were a bit lower. read more

I truly truly appreciated the helpfulness of the staff here. After a stressful day involving a sick cat, a broken dryer at home, and an immediate need to wash a set of sheets, blankets, and two comforters, I came out to the coin op. Jamie showed me how to use the machines, recommended the right amount of cash to withdraw to do all my loads, and was overall just wonderful. I will definitely come here to do laundry until my dryer is fixed/to wash comforters too large for my washer at home and would recommend it to anyone. The laundromat also has tables and chairs and a seating area with a TV, so you are able to do work or read comfortably while waiting for your laundry to finish. There is also parking in the back (clearly labeled) and a back door so it is very easy to get your laundry into and out of the building. read more

Nice blend of front- and top-loading machines. The front-loaders are relatively new and very nice. The dryers are getting pretty old and they're markedly less efficient than when I first started coming here back in 2006. I lived literally right behind them in Olentangy Village, but the apartment's on-site laundry facilities were dark and scary. Don't plan on coming in right at the 9PM loading cut-off; the front-loaders take about 45 minutes and the dryers will take around an hour to get a full load acceptably dry to fold and take home. It's about $2.50-$2.75 per load, then you can expect to pay around $1.25 ($0.25/12 mins) for drying depending on load size/types of fabrics. They have a customer loyalty card that gets you a free wash ($2.50) for every ten, and your card then gets entered into a raffle for a month of free laundry. The nice thing about this laundromat location is it's walking distance from Cup O' Joe, Aladdin's, Giant Eagle, Lucky's, and other places. I usually toss in my drying and then walk somewhere to get a snack and read. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They'll always give you a refund if a machine eats your quarters (warning: the front-loaders will eat your money if you haven't selected a cycle within one minute, so put your detergent in before you pay!) They're understanding of mistakes and will rinse out the tub if you used too much detergent, accidentally poured detergent in the fabric softener slot, and then do it again when they rinse it out the first time... not that I've done any of these things. They'll also offer tips to wash particular items/get rid of specific stains. Some people remark that this place is dirty, but after one horrifying visit to a Dirty Dungarees during the power outage a few summers back - I'm not sure what sort of white glove expectations they have - this place sparkles. read more

I haven't visited a laundromat in years and when I did it was a sketchy non-staffed one. This place is awesome. I had a king sized comforter my machines just can't handle so stopped in. They have a few large machines and plentiful help to guide me along. The larger machines only use dollar coins, so I ended up with a few extra of those. Guess I'll use them next time. There is vending with detergent, bleach, ect so that was very nice. Only downside was no AC in the place and I stopped in work clothes.... I should have known better. Either way it's got a really chill atmosphere and I might start doing laundry here just to get some work or reading done in the meantime! read more

I must admit that I do feel a bit strange writing a review for a laundry facility. Honestly, isn't yelp supposed to be about food? But I must admit that, I have no reason to try any other laundry operation in the city after my pleasant experiences at Clintonville. There are a wide range of washers, all in good shape, including the HE front loaders, I am not worried about losing or ruining my clothes here. They offer a wash and fold service but I have never used it but it seems pretty popular. Plenty of parking in the rear, as well as out front for 2 hours at a time. Free Wifi, friendly consistently staffed and clean. No random homeless people or junkies just hanging out. If you want to do work there are tables, and a TV, Drinks and free coffee, if you want to do something else, stop by the shops on High, or just people watch. Its a shame that I don't have a WD in my house at the moment, but until I do this is the place for me, and for you to get your clothes smelling clean read more

I own a washer and dryer so my visits to laundromats are few and far between. I only use this service when I need to wash something too large to fit in a normal washing machine. Doing laundry is not my idea of a good time, but it needs to be done and this is the place to do it! First thing I noticed is the location was clean. Maybe I am just used to scary laundromats on the shaddy side of town, but cleanness is very important since this is the whole reason why I am here. Location is also a huge plus, located in the heart of Clintonville, close to many of my favorite shops. My only negative would be the lack of large capacity washers and dryers, after all this is the main reason why I was there. From the looks of it, they had about three large washers and four large capacity dryers. At the time I arrived these were being used for normal wash loads by other people. There were signs posted to save these large capacity machines for customers like me, it's just a question of people being courteous to other patrons. All in all, I will be back for my laundry needs! read more

I love doing my laundry at Clintonville Coin! Workers are always helpful, plenty of places to sit and do homework while laundry is getting done, free Wifi, soda machine, and even coffee! $2.25 per wash and $0.25 gets you 12 minutes of dry time which is unheard of these days. Not to mention their loyalty card that will earn you a free wash when it's all punched through. I've used their dry clean service only once and found it to be satisfactory. The price was fair, too--I brought in a tunic that they could have very well charged me for a dress clean, but the employee decided to charge me halfway between a shirt and a dress since that's basically what a tunic is. I've been going to Clintonville Coin Laundry for a year now, even though there's a laundromat literally a block away from my house. I have to say, I love doing my laundry here. There is always ample parking in front and behind the building, and it's location is great near a pet store, ice cream, coffee, pastries, and Giant Eagle so there's tons to do if you don't want to sit around waiting for you laundry. It's situated on a nice section of High Street with chairs and benches near by to enjoy nice weather or people watch from it's large storefront windows. There's ample seating inside ranging from chairs and tables to study on to comfy couches to watch TV while knitting. There's even an arcade machine, soda vending machine, snacks for sale, and a clean bathroom. Another nice perk is that there's AC and wifi. I've never felt that it was hot or humid here. I typically come here weekday mornings to do my laundry when it's quiet and less crowded. I've heard it can get pretty crowded in the evening. There are two change machines to turn your bills into quarters, and the staff is always willing to make change for you if you need to break a twenty. There's a large variety of washers ranging from super fancy HE ones to your regular washers to the SUPER GIGANTIC ONES that you could wash your brother that hasn't showered in months in...although not recommended because you might end up a murderer. Then there are large dryers and the regular normal sized dryers. The service here is also impeccable. One lady once had to run out for a reason leaving her laundry, and she called to see if they could stick a few more quarters in if her clothes weren't dry. If the coffee is out, the staff will brew another batch. Not only that, I feel relatively safe here having frequented other laundromats where questionable characters walk in and snoop around. There's also wash and fold laundry service, which I've never used, but it's available. When I move even further away to the Short North with several laundromats in between Clintonville Coin Laundry and my apartment, I'll still drive up here to do my laundry. read more

As an alternative to Dirty Dungarees, this laundromat is tip top. The interior is sparkling clean, the machines are efficient and in good repair, and the area it's in is aesthetically pleasing as well. After doing your laundry here just once, you'll be flabbergasted as to why you'd ever trust your wardrobe to the cantankerous conditions that most other laundromats in the OSU area host. There are no transient homeless people scavenging for unclaimed socks, nor are there any unattended children from the ghetto that only know how to entertain themselves by doing as at your expense. If you want to mellow out with a book or some homework while your clothes are doing their business, you're in the right place. The bench outside is under a couple of trees and is a nice place to sit and people watch as well. Definitely worth the 5 stars! read more
