Unlike Augie, who was always sweet and extremely mellow even as a puppy, Nala bit us in the face, barked, destroyed things in our home and terrorized Augie to the extent that he would run away from her. We weren't sure we could keep her because she was so badly behaved and seemed untrainable. In the span of 3 weeks, David transformed Nala from a challenging puppy into a dream puppy. She obeys all the commands, walks off leash in our wooded neighborhood, sleeps hours later than when she left and most importantly she is able to play well with Augie who now seeks her out and willingly allows her even to sleep in his own bed. David sent dozens of videos so we could watch her while she was in training and learn the language she was learning from David. He kept in contact and was even able to drop her off and meet our other dog for a walk with Nala. Without Massachusetts Dog Training, we would likely have given our wonderful puppy away and never realized what a gem we had. David helped to uncover Nala's true potential and helped us to realize how smart, sweet and special she is. We will be forever grateful for his wisdom, expertise and love for our Nala.

They are raised in a household where kids are around, and as a result she LOVES kids and all people. We got to meet one of the parents as well (the other was still in Virginia). Truly no complaints. I love how you get to go and meet the puppies in person and choose which one you want as opposed to just being assigned a puppy (like many other breeders do). This really allowed us to pick the puppy whose personality we thought would best match what we were looking for. We happened to meet Sadie's sister (who happens to live in the same town), and her sister's family also had a very positive experience. Another family we know also got a puppy from them and has had no problems either! I am glad that there now exists a place for people to write reviews because one of my biggest fears was getting a dog from a breeder that didn't really have reviews online. I wanted to make sure I found a vet for the long haul and I was very unhappy with the practice we had used for our boxers. I also was turned off by the national chains like Banfield through places like PetSmart. The thousands of negative reviews on the BBB website are enough to give you shivers. It turns out finding a vet with room in their practice is no easy task. In the end, I settled on a small practice in Gardner Ma called Tender Heart Vet Care PC. My decision to bring Toby to Tender Heart was based on their reviews and the initial conversations I had with the office staff. They were very friendly, professional, and seemed genuinely excited to add an Anatolian Shepard to their list of patients. With all the challenges posed by COVID-19, I was unable to go into the office with my dog for his first appointment. The staff handled the odd situation very well and Toby seemed none worse for the wear. Like every vet, I received a list of all the recommendations and accompanying pricing. First visit, new puppy, I agreed to everything and this is where this review gets down to brass tacks. After I brought Toby and my invoice home, I checked into every vaccine and treatment. I am a researcher at heart and based on my research questioned one of the treatments and asked about the future vaccine schedule. This was all in a rather lengthy email. I received an email in return; very complete, very informative, and very prompt. That is what cemented my decision to stay with this practice. They are, to my experience; open, honest, and informative, a rare combination in veterinary practices. I am comfortable recommending this practice and will no doubt be leaving follow up reviews as Toby and I use them in the future.

Also told her about my parents dog that died suddenly 3 weeks after vaccines and they didn't even care, say sorry, or make eye contact. I don't know how these people sleep at night knowing they are poisoning animals daily, because that is where the money is. Make the animal sick and they'll be a customer for life. This just confirms to me that most of the time, you're better off learning how to care for your animals naturally than going to these places, all they are are big Pharma sales reps and as soon as you say you aren't interested in their potions their entire demeanor changes. We always want to tell our groomer where we live now to give him "the Naz" because no one is as good as her. So reasonable and nice too! She took care of our dog on our wedding day too and groomed him, got his bow tie on, and brought him to his photo ops throughout the day. It was so wonderful being able to have our dog at our special day and know he was in good hands.
