Then, Patrick brought her cremains to my home and gave me a memorial book to so call "make up for taking so long" but he left and I realize the book belonges to another family and has been filled out with all the friends and family's signatures and all. I pray what I received is actually my mom. I don't trust them at all and I would never use them ever again. Would never recommend you use them or Bagnell and Sons which is connected with them as well. I believe I should have received some sort of refund for them taking this long and then to make a mistake of giving me something from another person memorial. I am totally disgusted with these people.

I recently attended a funeral for a family member, handled by renaissance services. This company…read moreshould not even be in business. My family decided to have a viewing and then cremation. To start with, the casket had obviously been used many many times before. It showed its age, the gold trim was tarnished, the screw holes on the casket were missing the wood fillers. The cloth inside the casket was dingy with age and from peoples hands touching the fabric previously. The automobile carrying the casket wasn't even clean and showed plenty of wear. As far as the body preparation, it was lacking, they did not even clean his hands or fingernails. To add insult to injury, The representative from Renaissance told the family to rush it up, how insulting. There were about 200 people there to pay their respects. The representative himself left a lot to be desired, and I'll leave it at that. The entire service from Renaissance was very disappointing and an embarrassment to the family. This sad time for the family is emotional enough without having to deal with a terrible service. We had many comments and concerns as to why we didn't use a more professional company. This was a total embarrassment for our entire family. I would not recommend this company to anyone, your loved one doesn't deserve this type of treatment. In fact, they should refund part of the money paid for the low grade quality of service. I'm sure if it was one of their loved ones, the results would have been very different.
