One of the solar specialists we had been talking to suggested we have Joe McCoy's Tree Service come out and evaluate the tree. When Joe came out to our home he was friendly and professional. He explained in detail what he thought the tree needed and how he would address each area of concern. It was easy to see that Joe is not just motivated by the buck. He genuinely cares about trees and their owners. We agreed to have Joe and his crew reshape our tree to clear some limbs in order to improve the health of the tree. Joe arrived on the agreed date right on time with his crew of Levi and Larry. Joe did the climbing and sawing, while Levi masterfully handled the ropes lowering the cut limbs safely so as to avoid any damage to our house and the landscaping. Larry continuously dragged the downed limbs and branches to the chipper. They worked efficiently and cooperatively. They answered any and all of our questions and treated each other in a very friendly, yet respectful, manner. Our tree looks great and should be safe and healthy for many years to come. The last scheduled large tree job they sent 3 guys. 1 up in the boom the other two running around hauling limbs and debris to the chipper like mad men. Took a couple hours to get the large tree down and cleaned up. I gave each of the two guys who were hauling debris a good tip. This week I scheduled a tree removal for a small tree. They sent 5 guys! This job took them 20 minutes to complete. I had to pay by credit card because I'm out of checks and no cash. When I didn't have a tip for the 5 guys they made a ton of comments about "putting the tree back" , "needing to pay bills" , "maybe they showed up too early" , yada yada. It felt like they all showed up just for the hefty tip they were told I provided last time. Customers shouldn't be pressured to provide a tip on every visit in my opinion. If the job doesn't pay the bills I'd look elsewhere. Research shows many customers never tip at all with the crazy price to take one tree down. I hope they feel like crap when they get the gift basket I had shipped to their main office. Appreciation can be shown in many ways and not just monetarily.

Greg and his crew had to climb to cut the tallest parts of the tree and used their 95-foot boom truck to cut the lower tree limbs. The tree was cut down safely and efficiently. The massive amount of tree debris was quickly chipped and hauled away. Their clean-up of the tree area was fantastic. The day of the removal he came and then told us he couldn't climb the tree and he is going to have to find a lift and will contact us back. he messaged us back a few hours later and said the lift is $500 so he couldn't do it we tried messaging back to say we will pay for it no problem But he blocked us. He gave us his license number so I called The number on their website and spoke to a woman and she said he blocked us so we couldn't give a bad review on Facebook but she's willing to fix the problem. She told us we had to call around and find a lift though. We found one sent it to her she asked if we could pick it up but we don't have a vehicle able to tow so we said no she said ok and then we scheduled another day. She texted back to confirm we were picking up the lift we said as stated before no we don't have anything to tow it so she cancelled our appointment.... what a great way to run your business....
