What amazing service by the Flue Doctor! So far I have utilized all of their services, chimney cleaning, window cleaning, and dryer vent cleaning. The guys were prompt and worked diligently to make sure every part of my home is safe and clean. I honestly don't remember ever having cleaner or clearer windows. I have tried other local businesses to have my windows done but they never sparkled the way these guys did it. Extra stars for them being so sweet and kind to my dogs that are wild and normally don't like people. The prices were so fair and reasonable that I will definitely have them back every season. Think twice before hiring. They are impossible to reach by phone, voice mail box is always full. I hired them to do a job they did some of it my wife made the mistake of paying them half and then they NEVER RETURNED. Window screens left in the landscaping, towels left for my dogs to find and eat with who know what on them. In summary if you hire them don't pay them till they are completely done and have cleaned up. Maybe don't hire them at all and save the head ache. Well, there's always one customer that will not be happy and unfortunately it me. We made arrangements with this company and they took my deposit and never did the job. I've tried all communications that is available and they will not respond back. This has been almost 3 months process. I will now be taking further actions. My recommendation is never give a deposit to this company. read more

One year ago they came to sweep my woodstove chimney, the same evening the spark arrestor fell off. I called them the next morning and left a message, they never called back, i called them regularly through the winter as the rain ran down my stove. Now i want to light a fire but that would obviously not be safe due to wildfire risk. read more

Mr Sidebottom and his team are amazing. Showed up right on time, set up a vacuum in the wood stove, then went up and cleaned down from the top. They fixed our vent and replaced the pretty old and damaged rope gasket in the door. All done in an hour or so. Very happy with their services! read more

Our home was built in 1870 and has undergone numerous changes, upgrades, etc.. James and Team game out to clean our dryer vent. It turned out to be quite an adventure with a 90 degree turn from the dryer in the hallway to under a wooden shelf in a builtin bookcase in my office and then another 90 degree turn inside the wall out a duct into the driveway. James discovered that the duct had become disconnected inside my office wall and fixed the problem. They did the work in a very professional manner. I would recommend them to everyone one (as long as they leave a space for me!!!!). I really can't leave a high enough review because Yelp doesn't have a 10 star rating. Shad and his assistant showed up as scheduled for a basic chimney sweep job. They were quick, neat and prepared. They replaced the insulation around the door and also repaired the stove door handle. The stove is older, and I don't know how long it's been since it was cleaned, but I know when they started it was pretty rough and they were finished in about an hour and a half. It has been a week since I called them. They called back 4 days later, but I was outside. So I returned their call, and got voicemail. Two days later they called again, when I was outside working. So I returned the call only ten minutes later. It has now been another day, no call back from them. I have called them twice in the past 24 hours to no avail. I even texted them. Appointment was made within a very reasonable time. Shad and Preston did an outstanding job on our fireplace and chimney. They were early, cleaned the chimney, warned us about and repaired the caulking and flashing gap where the roofers had not reattached the flashing correctly, causing a rain leak that would drip down and hit us in the face when working on a fire. They installed new bricks in the stove for a few dollars more and fixed our spark arrestor for free. Our fireplace's air flow is much better and the fire seems warmer...looks better in any case. Had them inspect an existing flue pipe at a home we bought. They were on time and very polite. Shad was very knowledgable and explained that we had an unsafe portion of the pipe, but didn't try to oversell us anything or replace pipe that didnt need to be replaced. They quoted me to repair it, ordered the parts, and did all the work in an hour. They even called and offered to come early because they had a cancellation. They showed up with large cloth covers for our floor and area rug in their path of travel and around the stove. They did a thorough cleaning and inspection of the wood stove at no additional cost. I highly recommend them! They take a day or two to return your messages because hes out in the field working, and they will book you in a 2 hour windown for scheduling, but when a company is good at what they do, they're busy! Today was the second time that Shad inspected and cleaned our wood stove. He was right on time, which I really appreciate, as it isn't always easy for me to take time off work to be at home for a service call. He worked quickly and thoroughly, and gave me a full report on the condition of our stove and on a repair he made. He also cleaned our dryer vent, which looked like a herd of sheep had left their wool in it! I feel so much better prepared both for next winter's cozy fires, and also better protected against an accidental fire caused by a clogged dryer vent. As a retired police sergeant I always loved to receive an "attaboy" from someone I was able to assist as part of my job in law enforcement. Shad and his partner definitely deserve a huge "attaboy" for an outstanding job they did cleaning and repairing my wood burning stove. They showed up on time and quickly went to work. They made sure there was no dust from the ash that they removed. My stove had not been cleaned in over 16 years and had several broken clay bricks inside. They not only repaired this for me, but also vacuumed the entire area around the stove and the rock facade on the wall that surrounds the stove.
