Background: Needed to have 3 outdoor outlets installed but the wires had no power so I did a look up for electricians in Fleming Island and found QUICK ELECTRIC SERVICE. I prefer to use small, local businesses as much as possible and this family owned and operated company, just down the street from my house was perfect. Razvan and his son Nicholas were right on time, polite and knowledgeable. Called on Friday to set an appt. and they had availability at 1030 on Monday. After some small discussion on what I was intending to use the plugs for e.g. one will be plugged in full time for my Goldfish pond waterfall. They made a recommendation and traced the old wires getting nice outdoor weather proof outlets on their own 15 and 20 Amp circuits installed within an hour or so after a quick trip to Home Depot to make sure what they installed matched everything else. Small example of how I could see how much price they take in their work to go and get matching stuff rather than throw in whatever they had in the van. Once that was finished I asked if they could take a look at my daughter's room because one switched controlled the power to ALL of her wall outlets and the fan. Razvan identified multiple issues and troubleshot everything while Nicholas explained what he was doing and how this or that worked. They went well above and beyond as this ended up requiring a rewire of the switch, a wall outlet AND the entire ceiling fan to get it all working on a new two switch light switch. We had a power outage due to a lightning strike on 8/18/22 which caused our alarm system to…read moreconstantly blare. We received no help from Scott Alarm and we stopped the noise by removing the battery. When the power came back on at 2 in the morning, the system blared again. Two police officers came in response to the alarm and assisted us in disconnecting the sound device. While they were in our home, we called Scott Alarm 3 times, each time being told they would connect us to their service department. No one in the service department ever answered, even after we had explained that police officers were in our home trying to assist us with the alarm. Since that time, we have left numerous detailed messages which have never been answered. We are paying for an alarm system that has left us unprotected for 5 days and we are outraged! There seems to be no way to get this company to perform according to our contract with them. We tried to stop payment to them and there was no way to do this. If anyone has a suggestion on how to get relief from this company, please post that as soon as possible.
