We love this place. The staff is so knowledgeable, kind and they offer so many different types of equipment ~ they even had a 70cm snowboard , boots and bindings for my 3 year old daughter. Third time in Colorado and this time I'm actually staying for a while. I wanted to pick up a new hobby while out here for work, so snowboarding is what I want to start doing to kill time out here. I started looking at snowboard shops around where im staying at and this place was close to the top of that list. Wasn't too far from my hotel. I walked in and Lauren was super friendly and showed me what they had. I know it's close to the end of season, so they didn't have a ton of selection. I did, however, end up purchasing a jacket, gloves and goggles to start my snowboarding adventures. I hope to be back soon to check out their snowboards/boots. read more

This place was recommended to us when we moved to colorado and looking to start our first ski season with 3 young boys that will grow out of gear year over year. This is the second year we have done the buy in ' trade up program and have had great experiences with them. The shop is small and they have A LOT of equipment in there. That said, they take the time to properly measure you and fit you with some options. They adjust bindings right there and were super patient with a rowdy and excited 3, 6, and 7 year old. This is a great find for good deals on new and used gear. It's a no frills kinda place and there stock is a little limited but you should definitely give the shop a look over, I'm happy I did. Just rented skis, boots, and poles for the season all for about $150! Great value & deal, and they don't have to be returned until April. The staff were very helpful, and finding everything & the fitting only took about 20 minutes. It looked like they had a really great inventory available. Had high hopes of going in and scoring some knowledge (I am a newbie with three days on the mountain) and all the gear I need for the rest of the season. The associate was not helpful what-so-ever and given I am a beginner, was not providing much value as I needed some sort of direction. Immediately went over to Epic Gear afterwords and learned a great deal in the 10/15 minutes that I was there. The epic associate was asking me riding style, explaining board types, asked about progression. This is what i feel beginners are looking for. Do not recommend this place for beginners. read more

Great group of guys. Owner was knowledgeable and friendly. I'm a first-time skier and wanted to buy some used boots for my first season. They fitted me into probably 6 pairs before determining the best fit and taught me how to don, re-adjust throughout the day, remove, and properly store. About 3 weeks after buying I had my first day out skiing and my toes got pretty cold. Removed the boot liners and the bottom seam was coming undone on both. This was outside their 2-week used goods exchange policy, but they told me to come in anyway and they replaced the inner boots with new (they were willing to replace the whole boot but I liked the look of mine). This place is awesome! Not only can you rent skis, boots, bindings AND poles for the whole seasons for only $170...they really make sure all your equipment fits and is comfortable for you. I had gotten my ski poles stolen and was worried about being charged a ridiculous amount to replace them. They were nice enough to let me go free of charge. Rent from here!! read more

I don't think that I have ever left a negative review about a business! I own my personal business with my own family, so I know how important it is to give people feedback, however I am beyond disappointed about this place, especially reading all of the previous good reviews! I came here with my family Thursday of last week, shopping for skis for both myself and my daughter, and also for a newer snowboard for my son. Once we got inside, and looked at the prices I was stunned: the selection seemed to be more like a bad batch of Goodwill donations that was picked up by this store and then resold for $200 to $500 and more! I've been skiing all my life and I know the cost of good skis, comfortable boots and apparel, but this is not right, you cannot possibly resell equipment that is so used and abused by the previous owners, not at such steep prices! Besides this inconvenience, the store lady Marie (the owner/manager) was incredibly pushy, she grabbed an ugly pair of skis for me that were 155 cm (way too long for me, and a shocking sticker price of $200!!!), and then proceeded to tell me "you won't be able to find a similar deal anywhere else, trust me!!" and told me to go over the boots section and try on some boots from the 80's priced at $150!! At that point my husband saw the look on my face and came over and said "let's go, this is not the place for us!". That very same night I decided to shop online at Facebook Marketplace and NextDoor and within a few days I found an amazing Salomon ski package with beautifully colored skis barely used and only a couple of years old, comfortable and stylish boots and poles ALL FOR $80!! Do yourself a favor, if you have the patience, shop online and avoid this store, and you'll save the headache, the harassment, the regret and a ton of money, and walk away with an almost new set of skis and boots + poles!! read more

I got a nice pair of all mountain skis, boots, and poles for a reasonable price. The employee that I spoke with did a nice job helping me to pick out the best skis for what I wanted and gave me advice for sizing and binding settings. I'm generally an aggressive skier, but I'm also not trying to get injured so I was stuck on whether to classify myself as a type III or III+ skier. The employee that I spoke with did a nice job explaining the pros and cons of each. I've gone skiing a few times since and I'm pretty happy with my purchase. read more

All purchases were made at your prior location. Also, I fundamentally agree with your business model of resale, and I do hope many of your customers find exactly what they need at your store. Keep in my that my review is based on my experience in your store and what actually happened. I can't review your business on what you would've liked your employees to do and what you would've liked me to find product-wise in your store. As I mentioned in my review, I was specifically shopping for snowboarding gear, not skis, ski boots, or ski bindings, and I did clearly state this. Your reply as well as your comment on my review both point to the great deals you have on used ski gear. Then, you vaguely argue some point of being able to find a used snowboard setup (board, boots, bindings) for $150. This is where I think you are disconnecting from reality and merely speaking from what you would like to have in your inventory. This is not really what I was looking for, yet it's still worth noting that you don't have it. In fact, maybe you need to shop around at other stores in order to get a better sense of how you should price your product. Again, as mentioned in my review, I thoroughly reviewed all of your used snowboard gear and found it in sad shape compared to what is available at other shops. This includes both your demo gear (you have priced as new) and used gear (you have priced as demo gear). If I'm in the market for used ski gear, I'll be sure to come back to your store and hopefully have someone try to help me instead of just being ignored. In the meantime, I suggest you do some competitive intelligence with your competition. After shopping around, I ended up spending about $1000 this last month on snowboard gear for my two boys, and I patronized several stores both new and used. Epic Mountain Gear and Play it Again Sports had exactly what I was looking for at the price I was willing to pay. For example, my last purchase this weekend was at Play it Again Sports in Aurora, where I was able to find a pair of nearly-new Vans snowboard boots for $39 including tax. Compare this to what you have on your wall and you should be ashamed. Original Review: I have bought used gear at Outabounds before they moved to their new, easier to find location (I bumped them up a star for this). Some of their gear is decent, but most is no-name demo stuff and really old used junk. I went there to shop for snowboards, boots and bindings for my two teenage kids. All I found was overpriced, beat-up crap! Why would you pay $300-$400 for a used snowboard deck when you can go to Epic and get a brand new Jones, GNU or LibTech deck from last season for the same price? They carry used generic-brand bindings priced at $179? I don't think those things would've sold for $179 new. Yet, you could go to a real store and get brand new, high-quality bindings from Arbor, Salomon, you name it, for around the same price, maybe $10-$20 more. They have used (and I mean really used) Rossignol snowboard boots for $100-$150, lame DC boots for $169. Instead I bought a pair of brand new awesome Vans Implant Pros elsewhere for $159 (normally $249). If you're holiday shopping for your kids, do you really want to buy stuff that looks like you dragged it out of the dumpster?! Basically this place is selling garage-sale quality gear for like-new prices. I did not look at ski gear...maybe they price that stuff more reasonably. If you're shopping for this stuff, do yourself a favor and shop around for something newer and higher quality. There are plenty of good deals to be had on last year's models of snowboards, bindings and boots. You're going to pay up to be on the mountain anyway, so you might as well spend a few dollars more for some real equipment. Shop here and you might as well go skiing in jeans. Finally, the two sulky teenagers sitting at the desk at the entrance said nothing to me when I arrived or left. There was nobody around to help in the actual shop, but I'm not sure how much it would've really mattered given their inventory. read more
