My wife just purchase new ski boots , they were awesome. My wife is very experienced skier and knows the feel of boots. The boot fitter that helped her was great. He spoke to her on what she was looking for and what brand she was wearing. They just don't put boots on your feet , they make sure they fit they are very efficient and there is no rush on there part . I bought a $1,100 ski jacket on their site that they marketed as new. When it arrived it had significant wear and tear and had someone's year-old Ikon pass in the pocket. When I reached out to them they said they would not send me a replacement, and that I could either keep it for a $100 discount, or return it. Ignoring that this is illegal, it is a horrible business practice... was very disappointed as I thought it would be seamless to just get them to send me a new version vs. the used version. read more

These guys ROCKED IT! They joked that they sell ski gear all year- and they don't start doing patio furniture or bikes during the summer. It's cause they really know what they're doing! Came here first time for a summer wax/tuning of my skis; didn't realize I needed an appointment to shop for ski boots. Scheduled one a few weeks out- and they're right, you need about 2 hours for boot fitting. But DANG my technician knocked it outta the park. First boot on, and I wore that baby for 45 minutes straight as we walked around and learned more about other skis. I can't wait to go back and get my skis for this season. I have a new set of ski boots, after 2 different days in them, that caused hot spots on my ankles that were so pain full, I switch back to my old boots. Up in the resort areas the ski shops recommended punching out the boot for more room. I went to powder 7 were I have had my skis worked on and my wife just purchased new boots. I was impressed with the staff and how much time they took to find the right fitting boots. With me pulled the liners out and looked at my foot position was rolling in, even with custom foot bed. They shimmed them to align better with the boot fit; they are excellent at what they do. Buying boots is a big investment, they provide value in the cost and the service they provide. Worth the drive if do not live nearby make an appointment that way you will be set. read more

Service is Powder 7's forte! Purchased a new pair of skis and bindings a few weeks ago online and came down to their shop in Golden on Sunday with my ski boots to get my bindings mounted. Was told there is normally a 48 hour turnaround for mounting. I explained I drove 3 hours from Steamboat and asked if they could expedite the mounting so I could take them home same day. Went to lunch with the family and received a call saying they were waiting to be picked up!! As we were in their shop waiting for the skis to be brought out we grabbed a rep and asked about skis for my daughter. The rep knew his skis and was able to figure out the right ski for her after a few minutes and spent some time educating her exactly why each ski was right or wrong for her! She didn't want to spend too much right now and he showed her the same ski in their demo fleet! This was my 2nd purchase from Powder 7 but will definitely not be my last!! read more

Bought skis from here Tuesday, over 800 dollar purchase, ordered 2 day delivery, place waits to tell me after it's expected to be delivered that they don't have my skis and never shipped them. Now I am stuck without skis after booking a ski trip for the weekend, and all rentals are SOLD OUT, place offered no message or compensation for screwing me over. You would think a place would let you know the day it was supposed to be shipped they don't have them oppose to the day it's expected but I stand corrected. Absolutely terrible! Brought my board in for a tune... picked it up the next week and they returned it with my bindings. I asked if the guy was forgetting something and he looked confused... "bindings maybe?" He was very nonchalant and laughed and said... oh oh... hold on. I had to wait 20 minutes while they put them on. Then when I got home I double checked to make sure they tightened all the screws properly...they did NOT! I'm glad I went bank over everything they had done and redid it on the attachment. Not sure what's going on there... but I won't ever go back!! And yes I have been talking about this. It's just plain dangerous... if this was a difficult task for them, can't say I want anything else from them I'd place. Still undesired of what I paid $75 on except poor customer service and half done tune up. No thx! Too much competition here to have a business that runs this way. read more

I cannot recommend Powder7 enough. They always go above and beyond to make sure that people walk out of there with skiing perfection. I recently had my whole setup stolen from my storage unit, so I came in to buy everything new. They got me suited in boots, and worked with me to make them as comfortable as they could be--and if they had not managed I'd have been able to come back for free. I also got skis and bindings after technical and enlightening discussion. The selection of stuff they have is amazing, and while a lot of it is not in the front, they almost always have what you're looking for. I purchased a used set of skis and boots in the off season with Dave and he made my first set of custom insoles. I enjoyed the set up but the boots were causing some pain so I went back to get them adjusted. Sam B adjusted them by adding a sixth toe punch. He said I should try them and come back if any further problems came up. Melissa was also incredibly helpful and answered a bunch of my questions while I waited. The adjustments helped a lot but I was still having some pain. I went back once more and another fitter, Sam F, made further adjustments. I'm happy to say that I just came off a great three-day trip because my boots fit so well and didn't cause any pain! I've been skiing for over 30 years and have worked with several companies in the past. Now that I've found Powder 7, I'll won't go anywhere else because of their incredible customer service! A friend suggested Powder 7 when I was getting back into skiing after many years away in Fall 2023. I had rented for a 2 seasons, and while those skis seemed OK, I had skied a lot in my 20's to 40's and knew I'd appreciate some good boards! I bought a 3 year old pair of Nordica Spitfire skis from P7 in great condition. I planned to use these as my starter skis (I had no idea if they were OK, good or great) and then rock skies expecting to demo other skis. They were fine and I liked them a lot but had nothing to comp[aqre them too. I decided to buy some new Stockli's (based on many great reviews!) and after 2 days on the snow I realized theses were way too polite predictable and sedate for my style. I worked with several wonderful folks at P 7 and traded them in for a more slalom oriented Stockli model and I'm happy with new fast snappy skis! P 7 is my favorite ski shop with great people that want you to be happy with your skis, new or used!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I want to compare Powder7 and Evo, another store nearby. Evo: Sold me the incorrect size of ski boots, 26.5 instead of 25.5. Powder7: I only found this out when Powder7 took a look at my boots, measured by feet and checked everything. They were able to adjust my boots, redo the lining, and did it all without cost (even tho they normally charge $50/hour for this service). This all just gives you the proof that these are the people to go with when you want things done right! Great service, great knowledge. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! I've been to the store twice and each time was blown away with how their staff took the time to talk with me and help. They really know their stuff! I first went in after snowboard lesson, simply to gather info - I am very much a novice. I was told by a friend this was the place to go. I was upfront that I wouldn't be buying anything that day - I ended up talking to Melissa and Lauren for almost 45 minutes about snowboards. Super knowledgable and patient with all my questions. Took the time to really explain things to me. A few weeks later, I decided to go back to check out any end of season sales. Dave took a look at two of the snowboards I had been using, talked with me about my snowboarding goals, my current ability (probably another 30 minutes of just discussing snowboarding) - and recommended a board. Went out to the slopes that day - and it was 100% the right board for me (K2 Passport). Could not be more thrilled with my experience at Powder7! read more
