    Huge bike department

This store is what I would call a Tardis. No it cant travel through time, but it appears bigger on the inside that what is looks like on the outside. I really enjoyed the full functioning bike shop full of everything a cyclist could need from your average to advanced person. I even found things here that I would normally only expect to find in a dedicated bike shop. I might just have a new go-to place for all my biking needs. The employees are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and at the time of my visit there was a long line at the check out counter but it went pretty fast.

Bike shop, jeesh. Brought my stump jumper in for a full service tune up that included two new tubes as tires were flat. Pick it up, rear tire flat and tech offered to fill it great. Took it home and flat again. Brought it back, they offered to replace tube, great. Come back take it home and overnight flat again! Going to fix it myself at this rate. Found a thorn that could have been found if anybody had checked. Basic stuff! And customer effort way too high here.

This new REI co op development that's just off of park meadows mall on exit 197, is adding new flavor to the arapahoe region. Easily accessible off the 25 freeway, for those coming from down south, we need not have to drive all the way into the city through traffic to get to the main REI (downtown Denver) to get gears =D I like the huge interior. I would have given this place a 5/5 but because of how difficult it is sometimes to find things, because it's so expansive, it'll take awhile to get around and get used to. For instance: looking for a tent? Usually all tents are together, but not this place; "heavy tents" are separated across the room from "light tents". One is for back packing, the other one for car rides. I can understand there is a specific difference between the two but why do we need to separate them apart? I almost gave up on finding the "light tents" because I thought they didn't have it, was just about to drive to the main REI just to get it when I saw at the corner of my eye it was far away in another section. I really think this does not need a separate section. Saves people time having all of it in front of their face to choose from.

The staff is really friendly, informative and helpful. I was able to get a few items I had searched for unsuccessfully for a great price!

Their ski shop zaps the joy out of getting a new set of skis. Don't expect much out of this group.

It's not as big as the flagship store downtown, but they have more time to talk about the items you're interested in.

In July I had a new rear hub installed on my bike. I rode until Oct 4 (a few times in the rain)…read more on Oct 5 I tore everything in my shoulder and couldn't ride. My bike sat in the garage until I was able to ride again in March. I pulled the bike out and the rear wheel wouldn't spin. I took it to the shop who did the work (C3 outside of Golden)- the tore it apart and found the hub seal had failed (their words). he tried to rebuild it but couldn't, it was totally corroded. He told me they'd send it to Shimano to warranty but that they doubted they would?! He said it would be at least a few weeks, and Shimano would blame the user for not maintaining it properly. I have had great service in the past at Pedal bike shop so took it to them - with the receipt from the purchase in july. They kept the bike and were doing the same thing as C3. They were denied but fought with Shimano on my behalf and they finally agreed to warranty the hub because the seal had indeed failed. They did the work and I got my bike back. A week after getting my bike, I got a call from the mechanic at C3 who told me - as expected - that Shimano denied the warranty claiming it was 'misuse'???! what.. 2 months? I can't ride my bike and get it wet? how did the water get in the hub? from abuse or misuse?? Replace in July and ridden just over 2 months? When I told him that I'd already gotten my bike back and it had been fully warranted by Shimao (because of the diligence of the Pedal staff), he went silent. He just said, "I'm glad you got your bike back". Why would I go anywhere but Pedal? Clearly, they strive to make things right for their customers - they don't just roll over and say they can't do anything. Pedal is the BEST!!! I had always been a Shimano guy - I couldn't be more disappointed in them and will be writing them a letter.

When I have tried to get help, the shop has acted like they're doing me a favor for fixing the problems they caused. The company tried to call me out for writing a bad review on another platform when I had yet another problem with the bike they sold me. They were condescending and told me I was wrong, my charger isn't a charger issue. They have never once offered an apology for any of the incidents they have caused. I purchased two bikes here but I will never visit again, particularly after being treated like dirt by their service lead They need service industry training for sales and support.

Cliff was very stern with our children and kept telling them not to touch things, not to play, etc. I also don't want my kids to run around but there was nothing kids are allowed to do in the store and it took forever to get the bike purchase finalized. There has also been very poor communication about when our bike is ready leading us to repeatedly reach out to them to find out. This doesn't make me want to get our bike serviced by them in the future.

He has rode the saddle outside to see if it was proper and while he was doing so the associate made a nasty comment in which I had to rebuke. Then the associate did not mention any installment fee, which also took forever in a day to do showing the incompetence. 1. Do not judge those who come into the shop-because they could be a great profit. 2. Watch the comments made about said customers because you don't know who is listening. 3. Inform the consumer on what would need to be charged -so that if they can and rather install they can. Just customer service skills which should not have to be explained.
