Unfortunately, nearly every interaction we had with the front desk felt cold and transactional. The staff often seemed more engaged in conversations with one another than acknowledging members or prospective members. Instead of feeling welcomed, we frequently felt as though we were inconveniencing them by asking basic questions or checking in. For a luxury fitness brand, that's am extremely disappointing first impression. After touring multiple gyms, we ultimately chose to stay loyal to Orangetheory Williamsburg instead. While it's a completely different style of workout, the difference in customer experience was impossible to ignore. From our very first visit, the staff greeted us warmly, remembered our names, and made us feel like part of a community rather than just another membership. That sense of hospitality made the decision surprisingly easy. One additional point of feedback is the sales experience. I work in enterprise sales myself, so I understand the importance of following up with prospective customers. However, there's a fine line between persistence and becoming overwhelming. Orangetheory occasionally sends a promotional text or email, which feels respectful. Equinox, on the other hand, repeatedly called, texted, and emailed after our visit to the point that it became excessive and I felt harassed. Rather than reinforcing the value of the brand, it had the opposite effect and made the experience feel more aggressive than premium. For a luxury gym with a luxury price tag, I expected a customer experience that matched the brand. The facilities are impressive, but management should seriously consider investing more attention into the hospitality culture at the front desk and the overall sales approach. Members should know this by now given all the complaints about this location. The gym is a mid sized gym. Not small like most comments on here. Not sure based on these comments made from people calling out it is small. The layout is a bit different. Yes. The Main Studio feels like a glass while everyone looks at you work out. You see, most Equinox locations I have visited either the main studio is tucked away partially from the gym's floor visibility or has a wall to make it a bit more private. I felt like the main studio at the Williamsburg location everyone from all angles can see you workout. The yoga studio is downstairs. Right across from the women's locker. Would have been nice if the main studio was situated the same as well. My guess is depending what time you visit will depend how less crowded or crowded it is. Personally, I have zero complaints about this location. My only complaint is I dislike those numerical combination lockers.

Disliked: terrible ventilation/climate control (asked if they could install fan, but they said nah), music too loud (had to wear earplugs), and the final straw: they rented out the yoga studio, so there is no quiet, out of the way place to stretch. Ended my membership and joined Grindhouse, which is cheaper, has good AC and high ceilings, plenty of machines, music not too loud, and has an OK place to stretch-- alas with no views.

Check! Super clean? Check! Allot of space? Check! 360 sunlight!? Check! Covid safe? She was on the ClassPass waitlist, got the notification 20 minutes before class that a spot opened, signed up immediately, and drove over. She arrived two minutes before the class started, and was locked out of the gym. Once someone finally realized, it was 3 minutes later, and she was rudely denied entry by the staff member at the front desk (10:15am, Sept 27, 2025). She not only lost $20 in ClassPass credit, but was embarrassed and disrespected by the unreasonable woman working there. Denying a new member who clearly made the effort to get there, especially on their very first visit, is not just bad customer service - it's predatory and unethical. This is a business that seems more interested in scamming people out of credits than actually building a community. Brooklyn has countless gyms and studios that treat people with respect. Don't waste your time or money here. F45 Williamsburg has proven they will gladly take your money while turning you away at the door. Until they make this right, this location deserves to be avoided and held accountable.

The circuit class had six stations so after every change, I forgot what the exercise was but she was there to quickly run through it with me. She was also very encouraging. At the end of the class she mentioned of a competition day that was open to everyone. The space has nothing but a water fountain, lockers, bathroom, sanitizer and cleaning wipes for the machine, no towels, shower or amenities. I enjoy Metcon (5min exercise - 1min rest) and the variety of it all. The class went quickly and id definitely do the class again. It was my first time working out in a while and i could keep up.
