I was initially happy with the work that was done, but by accident found out, after it started peeling up, that they used a cheap floor lacquer finish after we had paid for high end Bona Traffic which is about $130 per gallon! They also left many swirl marks and globs of finish on the floor's final coat. Long story short, the entire area needed to be taken down to bare wood, re-stained and refinished at a cost of ADDITIONAL $3800!! He would not return my calls and would not rectify the situation in which he left.... BEWARE!!!!

After a meeting with my mother, and clear explanations of what we needed and her mobility issues, we got a quote from Cam at Careful Cut. After a few days of working on the project, Cam told my mother the work was done. Being a trusting person, my mom paid him. The work was not done. There was a large gap between the house and the railing (unlike the railing that was replaced) which was a major safety hazard for an elderly person. See picture. The railing that was there was splintery and not sanded. He also missed a number of spots when painting. We contacted him and asked him to complete the work. At first he said he would "see what he could do about the railing and that the door was in the way". Note that the door was only in the way because he forgot to account for door opening when building the steps. When, a few days later, we asked him again when he could finish the job , he sent a rude message then ghosted us. We had to hire someone else to finish the work.
