We were contracted to replace a glass for Scott at Outdoor Exposure in June and he has yet to pay his Invoice. We have left numerous calls and messages with no returns. Stuck us for almost $650.00! BEWARE of doing business with someone who doesn't pay their Contractors! Edit- Took down this review after Scott called on 12/9/2024 infuriated that we placed a Negative Review. Asked that we take it down and he would mail a check that day. Stated his Customer should have paid it but they didn't but he was a "Man of his Word" and would pay the Invoice. Due to no Payment, I spoke to his Customer and they in fact were NOT liable. Scotts company was doing Tree work and broke their glass. Contracted Scott Saintsing and Outdoor Exposure to remove several trees. Contract date was May of 2022. The contract included removal of debris and clean up. Today is 29Jul24 and the terms of the contract have not been fulfilled and I have been continually lied to regarding the completion. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable. We were scheduled to have a tree cut down at 8am on Friday. My husband took the day off from work (unpaid), we moved our cars, and worked our schedule around having it done. They didn't show up at 8, so my husband texted Scott, no reply. Once 9am hit and they still weren't here my husband tried calling and got his voicemail. I decided to try calling from a different number, that Scott didn't have. He answered on the first ring, which basically confirmed my thought that he was avoiding my husband. He gave an excuse about equipment not working correctly and said he would call back in 10 minutes. After 45 minutes passed without hearing from him I decided to call again. More excuses about equipment needing to be replaced. When I tried to tell him I'd seen negative reviews that seemed similar to our situation he started interrupting me and telling me "we have 5 star professional reviews" and repeated that over and over. Then he proceeded to tell me "I won't risk having my guys use unsafe equipment and put them in unsafe conditions" to which I said I understand but he at least needed to keep us updated and actually call when he says he will, then he immediately interrupted me again and (with a very smug/sarcastic tone) said "well how often do you need me to update you?" I told him to just update with changes and we hung up. Around 12pm he says he should have the part soon. Around 2pm he says they are about to put the part on. By 4:30pm we hadn't heard anything new so my husband texted him asking for an update. Scott replies at 5pm saying the piece is on, so my husband asks if they are still coming and Scott says "let me clean myself off and I will call you". An hour and a half later, at 6:30pm, Scott finally calls and apologizes and asks if we want to reschedule. My husband wanted to give him one last chance and rescheduled for 9am Sunday (today). Scott says something to the effect of "no problem, see you then, I'll even knock some of the cost off for the inconvenience". Here we are at 11:20am, almost two and a half hours after our appointment started, and this jerk is not here. We have called, texted, and left a voicemail. Calls are going straight to voicemail. I can not believe how inconsiderate and irresponsible Scott is. If you don't want to take the job, just say so, do not waste our time when we could have had a PROFESSIONAL AND RELIABLE company come out and handle this. My husband chose Scott over others because he thought he was a nice guy and wanted to give him his business. Never again. Please do not waste your breath on this excuse of a company. read more

Our experience with Outdoor Exposure didn't go well. There were so many issues it would take paragraphs to describe them all, biggest problems were punctuallity and professionalism. Our project should have taken 3 maybe 4 days, we did have some rain to deal with however, the owner went storm chasing two times to take advantage of insurance work, left our project unfinished for almost two months. Never completed the work that was specified on the quotes, it cost us $2,800.00 to have someone finish the work they started and repair all the damage done to our yard, the owner told us we'd never know they were there when the left, couldn't have been further from the truth, never hire this company, you'll hear nothing but excuses and lies. read more

We needed three trees removed from the property and one large red-tip photinia treated for a fungus. They removed the trees but left a mess in the back yard... concrete benches laying in pieces in the ivy, an ugly uneven stump from one of the removals, left a birdhouse with a live chick on the ground, left lawn furniture all moved from their original locations. In addition, they completely trashed our path with their machinery. After many texts and many promises to come back and finish the job, they never did. They also never finished treatments on the 20ft tall photinia so it continues to die. At one point he "chastised" me saying "I WOULD NEVER NOT DO THE RIGHT THING." Well, he never did and we are -$6500 the wiser. The minute we gave him our payment in good faith (as the job was not complete) he disappeared. Very disappointing and we will certainly never consider using or recommend them again. read more

Original : i had 7 LARGE trees removed by Scott and his crew. The work was finished today (with the exception of the stump removal) and I can't say enough about him or his workers. They were very precise and safe with how they dropped the trees as well as every other aspect of the job. The price was better than every other person who showed up, I would recommend these guys to anyone 10 times out of 10. I can't say enough about these guys! Updated 10/26/17: so after our good experience with outdoor exposure we agreed to have them build a driveway/retaining wall. That was two months ago, they came over to our location in early October and pushed some dirt around then left. I haven't seen them since and every time I talk to the owner he promises they are starting on "x" date but never show. I told him yesterday that we were cancelling the project and he decided to never respond. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST. Trust me every time you talk to them they will give you another excuse and leave you in a bad spot. Now we have red mud washing into our neighbors yard and no way to fix it. Beyond upset bc at first dealings with them we were so satisfied and excited now we are lost and confused. read more

We initiated communication with Outdoor Exposure through Thumbtack on 4/26. We asked them to give us a call when they were on their way for the quote- they ended up showing up unannounced. We had an urgent need for tree work after some storm damage. Scott's brother (I do not recall his name) was friendly and obtained all information needed to provide a quote. Today is 5/7 and we have never received a quote or any kind of correspondence from them since our that visit. Needless to say we went with another company who was much more professional and prompt- the job had been done for over week now. read more

Scott and his guys were quick to help us out when a tree fell on our property, and secured things in a way to prevent further damage to our home. They also removed another enormous tree from our yard that was an accident waiting to happen. We're really pleased with their work and would happily hire them again. read more

My Husband and I recently purchased a home and needed several trees in the back yard taken down. From the first call he has been incredibly responsive. His quote was the best out of 3 that we received and he and his team were wonderful to work with while they were at our home. Scott really listened to what we were wanting and made some great recommendations in helping figure out which trees really did need to come down and which just needed to be pruned back. It was obvious he wasn't just out there to make the most money by cutting down more trees than really needed to be. We ended up having 5 60'-80' trees removed and several pruned and shaped up. The job started on Saturday morning and they finished up with the stump grinding on Wednesday morning. All in all we couldn't be happier with the service we received! We needed some trees trimmed as well as five 80 foot trees removed at our newly purchased home and they were quick to get us a quote, were very reasonably priced, were very flexible in dealing with our schedule, and were friendly, professional and hard working. Read the other reviews along with the complaints filed with the BBB. What you will find is that Scott appears to have a pattern of not keeping his word and only gives you excuse after excuse. Do NOT pay any money to him until he completes your job. I have been dealing with him for over 7 months to fix damage to my property caused by his crew in early November while they were performing a job for a neighbor across the street. He promised to fix it "once it warms up in the spring". When the spring came, Scott never showed up. I contacted him in early May and he was slow to respond. Then the excuses started with "I will run by this evening" (which was 2 months ago) and "I can schedule it next week" (2 months ago) and "we will take care of it as soon as possible" (6 weeks ago) and "we have been swamped" (6 weeks ago) and again "I am going to ride by there this evening to see what needs to be done" (6 weeks ago) and "we have had nothing but rain for the last two weeks" (4 weeks ago) and then two weeks later "All we have done all weekend is cut trees off people's home and cars" and "we will get it fixed up this week" and "we had it scheduled a couple of weeks ago but ended up getting so much rain that week" (almost 2 weeks ago). I have contacted him again today and have not received a response. If I could give him a lower rating, I would. You have been warned. read more

Scott came out and gave me an estimate in the middle of the week to remove 2 trees on the side of the house and one in back. We were scheduled for 8:30 Saturday morning. I took Friday off from work to remove a fence and a pile of firewood so there would be a path out to the front yard. Saturday morning came and nobody showed. I called Scott and he said he'd call me within thirty minutes. No call. A couple hours passed and I called him again. Same thing. Ill call you within 30 minutes, and again, no call. After a couple hours, I called again. He didn't answer but sent me a text. He said that he's have to reschedule for Sunday or Monday even if he had to come do it himself, and he'd call me that evening. No call. Sunday and Monday came and went. So unfortunately, I cant review their work because they were a no show with no courtesy calls. Nothing like spending a Saturday waiting for nothing. read more

Untrustworthy /Liar is the best word for this company. I paid to have trees and stumps removed after Hurricane Matthew. We had so much going on, because of the neighborhood restrictions I trusted he would do the job, he got paid and never finished the work. Months of promises and nothing. We had to get someone else to do the work after about 8-9 months later and he agreed to reimburse us a portion. Promises after promises of sending a check. Scott even went as far as telling me I couldn't sue him since he had a receipt of putting my check in the mail. Well a month later nothing. Too many promises and no work ethic. Wouldn't recommend him ever! and He won't be doing work in our neighborhood as the President of our HOA will not longer be calling him for same reason! read more
