I belong to the Holbrook Sportsman's Club and we have a raffle every year I was lucky enough to win something in December I have been to the store before I have purchased items there. It's a very nice store and I've met the owner at the club and he seems like a great guy so I was very surprised when I had this interaction With some of the employees I am a very active member of the club and I understand That if you win something in the raffle and it's not exactly what you want you can generally upgrade it without an issue I was not interested in the pistol that I won and wanted to purchase a rifle that was roughly $200 more When I called outer Limits the day after I won the raffle in December, I spoke to a woman at the counter and she congratulated me on winning and I asked her about Exchanging the pistol for the rifle and she got all flustered and told me that that wasn't possible that the club had already purchased those guns for their raffle and nothing could be done I explained to her that I know that it is possible As it had Been done before the lady informed me that she would have to talk to the owner and that she wasn't even sure that she could get a hold of him which I thought was incredibly bizarre So she said that she would get back to me. This was the middle of December. You only have 30 days to pick up the item so I waited. It's the holidays. People are busy I understand but I never heard from her again so I called back in January and I talked to a gentleman down there and it was very easy. I explained the situation I did inform him that I had called earlier and spoken with a woman who would never return my call, but he didn't really want to hear about that so we moved on. I explained to him that I knew what I wanted had the item number again he told me you would have to talk to the owner I said OK And he called me back the next day and said it was possible to do it. I said OK and we proceeded, and he explained that he would reach out to me when the item was at the store. Roughly one week later he called. I was unavailable at the time and I called back about one hour later and asked to speak with Joe who happens Share the same name as the owner Joe Morgan, but I knew I wasn't speaking about the owner It was the same woman that I talk to in December that never called me back that answer the phone. I asked if I could speak with Joe she asked was it the owner and I said no I don't know the gentleman's last name. He never told it to me, but I explained to that he called and left a message about one hour earlier and she started snapping at me. What's this about? What's your name? And I could hear the gentleman standing right next to her, so I said that he had just called me an hour earlier and was she gonna let me speak to him and then she got really furious and said she didn't like the way that I was talking to her and then I would have to call back later I don't think I've really ever been treated like this. It was very unusual. I was so angry that I did not call back until the next day so I asked to speak to Joe and the gentleman that I was talking to informed me that he was busy and I said I can leave my information or I will call back. he said OK and took my information. Joe called me about 10 minutes later and I thanked him for taking care of this issue but then he informed me that he wasn't happy with the way that I had spoken to his coworker the previous day so that just made e angry and I proceeded to explain to him How the situation was handled so poorly, and that this person has no place doing business with anybody in the public sector, I don't care what business she's in I told him that I deal with people all the time very consistently and generally, there are never any issues and things go very smoothly. There's no way possible that I am. The only person that this woman has ever had an issue with. I would think this is more the norm than the exception So then, Joe informed me that we would just let bygones be bygones and then I would have to come in on a day that that woman wasn't working so I wouldn't upset her I had never heard any kind of crazy talk like this in my entire life so this was a Friday and he told me I could come in and pick up the rifle on Friday or Saturday and he would be there both days . I walked in the next day on Saturday. There was two men and a woman working there, and One of the men asked if he could help me and I said I was looking for JOE and he informed me that Joe wasn't there which I thought was very odd that I just spoke to him the day before and he told me he would be there at both days Then he informed me that his name was Joe and he was the guy that I was looking for. It was just absolutely amazing how this transaction was being handled. Joe went and got the rifle and brought me over to her computer to do the paperwork that needs to be completed. I have spoken with 2 very knowledgeable women that work here on 2 separate occasions (there may be more than 2 -I'm not sure). There are plenty of shops with nice and knowledgeable guys working in them but I find that some of them mansplain almost to the point of being insulting and sometimes they don't take questions or after purchase issues seriously when a woman is talking to them. It's refreshing to be taken seriously when gun shopping. I highly recommend this shop for all female shooters. Prices are similar to other local small town shops. They aren't going to match the prices of the bigger shops who order and stock in bulk but they do have an impressive selection of guns and accessories. read more

I wanted to start shopping for my first handgun. At the recommendation of an experienced friend, I stopped at Outer Limits, and am very glad I did. The shop was well stocked, well organized, and pricing appeared good. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Maeve was particularly helpful as she narrowed down my needs, made starting recommendations, continued to narrow down choices based on prior results (ie hand grip fit), and patiently answered all my endless questions. Called and explained I'm from out of state and would like to know if I could sell my firearm. He told me they don't give prices over the phone, no problem. I then was going to ask what time they closed at and the guy hung up the phone on me. I immediately called back and a different gentleman answered the phone and I told him the guy was a jerk and extremely rude, the previous guy attended the phone in the middle of our conversation and asked "what do you want" I said "I was going to ask what time you closed at"? He said, "I have a lot of customers and you were taking up a lot of my time asking bs" Do yourself a favor and don't do business with people like this who don't value future customers. I'll let all my military buddies not to do business with these guys. Btw, I was going to be bringing a very nice piece for them to sell. Well, I was not sure what to expect...was this really 5 star? IT IS! Outer Limits is bigger than I thought it would be. The selection of ammo, guns (new and used - 2 cases full of used!), holsters and so much more! The guys that were working when I was there totally 5 star! I explained the weapon I have and what I used it for, and they were able to give me so many alternatives and suggestions. I feel like I am armed with so much information - when I only planned on purchasing ammo! If you are looking for a new handgun, rifle, targets, ammo, or anything else, this is the place to go! Love this place. Just had my third visit to the shop and they're always so busy, but the staff is really nice and helpful. I want to say the owner's name is Jim but I am not 100% sure. Either way, it's clear he appreciates his customers . Very fair prices, especially for ammo. The younger assistant he has is also super knowledgeable and gave great customer service along with some nice recommendations. Great qualities to see in a younger person these days. To give some more perspective, I brought my mother on my third visit. She has been buying guns a lot longer than me, but has always said that she is skeptical about going into gun shops alone. Purchased a gun from this shop 2 years ago. I took it to shoot and it wasn't working so they let me know I can bring it back to get it fixed. Once I picked it up from them the gun was still broken, they then took it looking for it to be fixed by someone else or if not they agreed to refund me. after never receiving any update, I've had to call or visit the shop, in which they just tell me the parts are in back order and get upset with me for asking. I was very patient and asked each time to speak with the owner so we can work something out, in which he never got back to me once in 2 years. After finally telling me over the phone they would agree to settle up with my purchase, I shortly after received a phone call saying they will not be refunding me any money (because they feel they cannot fix it and after 2 years, they believe the problem with the gun isn't theirs!) and I can pick up the gun at the shop or CONTINUE to wait to have it fixed. Mind you, I have had to be the one following up monthly. They don't have the decency to call and update their customers are what is going on. Liars and cowards. Absolute worst customer service. read more

Found out about this Pro shop after attending my Utah firearms license class with instructor Joe who also offers other firearms classes. The shop has been renovated and expanded to double the size it use to be. First off, the staff is extremely helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to tell friends to come by to purchase anything. Sometimes purchasing your first firearm can be pretty intimidating, as you're still new to everything but might be scared to ask questions that you may think sounds dumb. Recently purchased a used firearm from here, I made a call ahead and spoke to Mike on the phone just to make sure I wouldn't waste my time driving there and the firearm is sold. Went in later in the day and the purchase went extremely smooth, in and out of the store in 15-20 minutes. Make sure to ask about the classes that are offered here, I've sent numerous friends here to take their Mass firearms class. To top it off, you get a $20 coupon towards a gun purchase after completing a class. They've won my business and plan to come back. read more
