We anticipated on receiving the boat for over 4 month since attending the New England Boat Show back in February. My dad was so excited for the fishing season. We showed up to pick up our boat and shocked it was missing the essential necessities we specifically requested and agreed upon at the show. The owner, Wally, was insultingly dishonest and didn't own up to the fact he messed up our work order. He basically didn't process the work order correctly and built the wrong boat. Can't believe he was just going to deliver the incorrect boat to us! He told us he could easily sell this boat to another customer if we don't want it (at full price probably) because he didn't want to honor the discount we agreed to at the show. He accused us of never ordering the t-top cover and any of the color request we wanted - classic bait and switch. If you're considering purchasing a boat from them, i would HIGHLY recommend you to think again. Save yourself the frustration, disappointment, disrespect and time. There's so many other options out there. I hope they don't bother attending next year's boat show since they can't deliver the correct final product.

I belong to the Holbrook Sportsman's Club and we have a raffle every year I was lucky enough to win…read moresomething in December I have been to the store before I have purchased items there. It's a very nice store and I've met the owner at the club and he seems like a great guy so I was very surprised when I had this interaction With some of the employees I am a very active member of the club and I understand That if you win something in the raffle and it's not exactly what you want you can generally upgrade it without an issue I was not interested in the pistol that I won and wanted to purchase a rifle that was roughly $200 more When I called outer Limits the day after I won the raffle in December, I spoke to a woman at the counter and she congratulated me on winning and I asked her about Exchanging the pistol for the rifle and she got all flustered and told me that that wasn't possible that the club had already purchased those guns for their raffle and nothing could be done I explained to her that I know that it is possible As it had Been done before the lady informed me that she would have to talk to the owner and that she wasn't even sure that she could get a hold of him which I thought was incredibly bizarre So she said that she would get back to me. This was the middle of December. You only have 30 days to pick up the item so I waited. It's the holidays. People are busy I understand but I never heard from her again so I called back in January and I talked to a gentleman down there and it was very easy. I explained the situation I did inform him that I had called earlier and spoken with a woman who would never return my call, but he didn't really want to hear about that so we moved on. I explained to him that I knew what I wanted had the item number again he told me you would have to talk to the owner I said OK And he called me back the next day and said it was possible to do it. I said OK and we proceeded, and he explained that he would reach out to me when the item was at the store. Roughly one week later he called. I was unavailable at the time and I called back about one hour later and asked to speak with Joe who happens Share the same name as the owner Joe Morgan, but I knew I wasn't speaking about the owner It was the same woman that I talk to in December that never called me back that answer the phone. I asked if I could speak with Joe she asked was it the owner and I said no I don't know the gentleman's last name. He never told it to me, but I explained to that he called and left a message about one hour earlier and she started snapping at me. What's this about? What's your name? And I could hear the gentleman standing right next to her, so I said that he had just called me an hour earlier and was she gonna let me speak to him and then she got really furious and said she didn't like the way that I was talking to her and then I would have to call back later I don't think I've really ever been treated like this. It was very unusual. I was so angry that I did not call back until the next day so I asked to speak to Joe and the gentleman that I was talking to informed me that he was busy and I said I can leave my information or I will call back. he said OK and took my information. Joe called me about 10 minutes later and I thanked him for taking care of this issue but then he informed me that he wasn't happy with the way that I had spoken to his coworker the previous day so that just made e angry and I proceeded to explain to him How the situation was handled so poorly, and that this person has no place doing business with anybody in the public sector, I don't care what business she's in I told him that I deal with people all the time very consistently and generally, there are never any issues and things go very smoothly. There's no way possible that I am. The only person that this woman has ever had an issue with. I would think this is more the norm than the exception So then, Joe informed me that we would just let bygones be bygones and then I would have to come in on a day that that woman wasn't working so I wouldn't upset her I had never heard any kind of crazy talk like this in my entire life so this was a Friday and he told me I could come in and pick up the rifle on Friday or Saturday and he would be there both days . I walked in the next day on Saturday. There was two men and a woman working there, and One of the men asked if he could help me and I said I was looking for JOE and he informed me that Joe wasn't there which I thought was very odd that I just spoke to him the day before and he told me he would be there at both days Then he informed me that his name was Joe and he was the guy that I was looking for. It was just absolutely amazing how this transaction was being handled. Joe went and got the rifle and brought me over to her computer to do the paperwork that needs to be completed. Given all the square footage they sell more items than the average West Marine including surfboards and kayaks. Our boat is being hauled and covered in a couple of weeks until next spring so there were a few things we needed. We found them here. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The staff seem to know what they are talking about. You certainly don't want to go into any specialty shop and find that they've hired just anyone. Whether you have a simple rowboat or a live aboard yacht, you'll find all the technical items you might need as well as some of the more fun accoutrements for your boating pleasure.

The store associate that greeted me at the door was extremely friendly and helpful in finding what I was looking for. The store seem very well cleaned, organized, and well-stocked. No clutter to be found. A few other employees that I ran into while walking towards the register were also very friendly. Tyrone at check out was both helpful and efficient in getting my purchase rung up and getting me on my way back home. No one in the store was pushy and never once did I feel like I was rushed or ignored. I would definitely visit this Dick's Sporting Goods again while in the area.
