Walked into this smoke shop in Oceanside looking for a clear vape -- not a flavor-banned one, literally the plain nicotine version. The second I asked, the employee hit me with, "Oh... we can't sell nicotine. Oceanside banned it." What?? Since when is nicotine itself banned? Maybe flavored vapes were banned years ago, sure, but just straight-up nicotine? The whole interaction felt super off -- weird attitude, weird energy, and zero willingness to even answer a basic question. It was so awkward I didn't bother asking anything else. If I could give it No stars I would . I came into the shop as I bought a product and it stopped working so I asked about warranty and was told to contact the manufacturer. I then decided to buy another as maybe it was a fluke and not worth the hassle. I purchased it and when I got home NO receipt in the bag and I thought I may have overpaid so I checked the manufacturers website and yes they are selling for over MSRP by 20 %. I called back immediately and was told I needed to speak to manager Rener and call back after 4pm which I did. He was so beyond an idiot and basically told me they could charge whatever they wanted . I asked who was the owner and again he was beyond any help and couldn't care less. DO NOT GO IN . To charge over retail is crazy. I've gone in a few times to make small gift purchases. There is a lot of everything vapes, grinders, glass, pipes...its easy to get overwhelmed. The employees have always acknowledged me when I enter and have assisted in timely manner. The employees are helpful and polite. Not much small talk but that's okay its not the place I would likely chat someone up. It's weird to read the bad reviews because its the exact opposite of my experience. The parking is adequate but not abundant - if all the spots are taken you could probably park in the adjacent business for a minute. I agree with Christopher B and Rich P. Its very small and petty for anyone to review poorly based on a difference of political views. Adulting is always appreciated Also, try your vapes and disposables before you leave...We have never had a problem with any of the vapes we have purchased. But people must come in and say their vape is broke often enough for them to make it a policy. The employees ask if you want to try your vape every single time. It has changed ownership over the years but the product and availability is always the best in the entire town. They have every sort of peace art and solutions that you can find. Sold me a cracked up glued back together water pipe for full price ($175) and failed to disclose there was anything wrong with the piece. This is a mixed review. I bought an Eleaf IStick at the Outer Limits for $30.00. It malfunctioned about 2 months from purchase after hardly any use. Although they don't take returns they did replace it! I was pleased! I decided I'd like another IStick for separate oil and nicotine. Had to clean the vape a lot using both cartridges. So I went on line and found the IStick on EBay for $12.99. They have a guarantee and would replace. So I highly recommend you check your prices before you buy at this smoke shop. read more
