I feel that this firm took advantage of me in such a severe way that I'm not sure I can recover from it. I have never written a negative review in my life but I have to speak up and hopefully prevent other people from ending up in my situation. I found Outerbridge Law through a google ad and it was the biggest mistake I could have ever made. I have lost thousands and thousands of dollars to them, and not only was this money totally wasted, but it has set my subtenant holdover case by FOUR MONTHS, which is an additional almost $10,000 in back rent I'm on the hook for, because I had to refile EVERYTHING with a new legal team. I have to start the ENTIRE PROCESS OVER because: "They were sworn to on Jun 13 (per the affidavit) but the service was allegedly completed June 16. Cannot have an affidavit dated before the completion of the service. This is why I was waiting to see the affidavits signed and dated. Very incompetent." Not only was the process done incorrectly, but the Altagracia spoke to me over the phone when I respectfully voiced my concerns about how the process had been going was beyond the pale. The tone and manner of communication was completely unprofessional and inappropriate for any client relationship. Never would I have imagined a lawyer would speak to their client the way she spoke to me. In the end, they refunded the remainder of my deposit (three weeks into this process, mind you), but they had already eaten through THOUSANDS of dollars. To do what exactly? Well, over $1200 alone was spent on an eviction notice and a demand letter that required my edits, and two phone calls to my subtenant that went unanswered. When I walked through the line items with my new legal team they were horrified. They also said my experience with this firm was not uncommon. So why all the five star reviews? I couldn't understand why my experience was such a horror show but there were almost no other negative reviews. Well... If you scroll back a few pages, the other negative Yelp review on this firm says she "received an e-mail from Altagarcia and her team threatening to sue me and bribe me to take my review down". I wish I had seen that before starting to do work with this firm. I would not EVER recommend this firm. read more

I was never informed or told I had to pay for someone else to "help" her with my case!!! If you have a question they will charge you! If they update you with any information they still charge you! I worked with Altagracia on a landlord tenant case. My case was filed in August in September I learned the case was dismissed. I received no call from her but learned myself from looking online. When I emailed her; her response was ..... yes it was dismissed. (That was four days after it was determined). Had I not looked myself I never would have known. I paid this firm $5350 dollars and didn't even get a courtesy call to let me know I'm right back where I started. I can't help but feel there are other things I was not informed about. Do yourself a favor and do not use this firm. I plan on filing a complaint with the courts and I have contacted the court reporter in hopes of getting a copy of the transcripts. read more
