This is the largest cigar lounge south of the river and it's also one of my favorites. The service here is great, everybody that works here is more than helpful. They won't bother you if you know what you're looking for, but if you don't, they're right there to guide you on your tobacco purchase. Ashtrays are constantly emptied with a smile. They have several areas for large parties and ice, glasses, and refrigerator to keep your beverages cool. They have the best air circulation system in town, not a cheap little system like some places. There are several seating areas for groups big or small. It doesn't hurt that they have a large parking lot, so this is a top choice when my buddies have a get together. read more

I've been too northland location and both have its own appeal . The humidor had a wide selection of cigars available in addition to selling tobacco, French incense, lighters and other products. The staff there was very knowledgeable and engaging. I just started smoking cigars so they recommended something to introduce me into the hobby. I smoke a Joya De Nicaragua. A smooth sweet cigar. They have a walk in humidor with a wide selection for any level of smoking experience or taste. The lounge is spacious and filled up fast after I showed up around 6pm. The people who showed and sat around me were professionals in their respective fields. We had great conversations having to do with money, cars, life, family. It could've been 5 stars for one of the best cigar lounges I've been to, not only for the lounge but also the amazing humidor, out of all the stores I've been to and websites I checked out, this store has the best selection! But... I would have to give the customer service a 1 star due to the many times I've encountered horrible customer service and rude and douchebag staffing.. the most recent visit, I didn't get a "hey welcome in" he just walked by me and said nothing after helping two white customers. And the visit before that, I tried to converse with the guy in the humidor before checking out 2 Eye of the bulls Arturo Fuentes and a few other cigars, he just ignored me and gave me and my spouse a stank face. Look I'm Native American and I'm not new to racism but I have never encountered racism or discrimination in a place that brings people together not only through something that I love but many people do too... Came here to purchase a cigar and a cigar cutter for my dad with next to no knowledge of what I was looking for. I walked in and was immediately greeted and I asked for a recommendation on the things I came for. I can't remember his name- but one of the workers behind the counter was so quick to help me make a selection and find the perfect gift for my dad. The worker was also very knowledgeable about what they had to choose from, which helped me feel confident in the choice I was making. All In all. A good spot for cigars and relaxation. There is a huge cigar selection with some great finds. They also have some pretty cool merchandise( knives, leather cases, canteens) in the front. The lounge area is clean and ample. Huge leather chairs and 60" TVs are everywhere. No food or drink service. Wifi can be spotty depending where you sit. Service is also hit or miss. I make a trip here on a monthly basis with a group of friends. Love coming here and unwinding. Pretty spacious inside with tons of places to sit. Two walls full of TVs. A fully stocked smoke shop with numerous smoking options are right inside the front door! The establishment being BYOB (and food) is a huge seller for me as well as then offering water, ice, cups, glasses, a refrigerator, and vending machine options. They do have good ventilation but everything you're wearing will smell of smoke. No sort of cover charge or anything like that and the employees are very friendly/helpful. read more

I was a first timer this evening. Had a great time. Went with one of my friends who has been going here for 2-3 years now. The cigar selection is fantastic! They make their own as well. They have quite a few different rooms, flat screens and very comfortable lounge chairs to relax in. It's nice and quiet and everyone is really nice. The folks who work here are extremely helpful and really know their stuff. If you would like to have a drink while you smoke they welcome it. You have to bring your own (bottle, beer or wine). But, they have ice and glasses for you. You are welcome to bring food or have it delivered. Very clean and friendly. Definitely will be going back again soon! This is the most laid-back establishment you will find. There are tons of lounge chairs and tables so you can sit back and have a smoke of one of their HUGE selection of cigars in the biggest humidor room I have ever laid eyes on. NOTE: This place is BYOB, meaning you can bring in whatever your drink of choice is (a fine Kentucky Whiskey for me!) and enjoy it with your cigar! How cool is that?! They do not have a liquor license, so to accommodate everyones tastes they allow you to bring your own in. They also offer a kitchen area with glasses, ice, water, refrigerator, and a soda machine to buy mixers if you choose. They offer all kinds of smoking accessories if you are gift shopping. The cigar prices are fair. You CAN find lower cigar prices, but consider the slightly higher prices to be a tip for the awesome accommodations and for providing a kitchen to use to prepare your own adult beverages. Definitely check this place out. I haven't met anyone with a negative word to say about Outlaw. One other note: do not bring kids or your mom here. This place is meant for guys, or very "cool" females, as there is professional photography of models all over, as well as murals on the walls which some would not appreciate. read more

I cannot believe I didn't know about this place! I enjoy a good stogie from time to time, and this will be the first place I think about going to when I want to stick close to my own neighborhood. First, the place is huge. OK, maybe not huge, but really quite, quite large. The humidor itself is impressive - you can almost get lost in there. There are tons of stick options for all tastes and budgets, and the guys working in there seem to know their stuff. I was recommended a $6 stick of a $9 stick...I always respect that in an opinion - taste over revenue. The smoke room is quite large, with a couple different sections. Even on a Saturday evening, it was quiet enough to just relax with a good cigar and watch a game. The chairs are comfortable, the place is generally clean and roomy, and without that crappy stale cigar smoke - I agree with Christian, the ventilation is very good. read more

The staff has never struck me as overly friendly, but they are never rude and always helpful if you have questions. The walk-in humidor is the largest that I've seen out of the many shops and lounges that I've been to. The cigar selection is nearly as impressive as the size of the humidor, featuring a wide array of brands, sizes and prices. You can find anything to fit your budget, from a $4 Flor de Oliva to a $20 Fuente Opus X. The lounge area is one of the finest that you're likely to find in the area. It features several big screen TVs, plenty of comfortable chairs, a bar and kitchen area (no alcohol is served here, you must bring your own), and vending machines with snacks and beverages. There is also a smaller lounge area separated from the main lounge which tends to see much less traffic, in case you're looking for a quieter smoking experience. Overall, The Outlaw in Overland Park (there is another location in the northern part of Kansas City) is a fabulous spot to buy and/or enjoy your cigars. The only critique I can think of is the state of some of the lounge chairs, which are a bit worn and weathered-looking. Huge! The largest seating I've ever seen. Huge collection, fantastic facilities and tributes to the Marine Corps and other branch's all over the walls! Tons of guys smoking, playing cards, watching TV. A great place but still, you stink of smoke after being in there for a few minutes. I've been to a dozen lounges that have the ability to keep he air clean. Considering I smoke three sticks a day, my complaints of the stink aren't from a non smoker. Stopped by for an event this weekend, first time back to this store in 5 years - I had moved out of the upper midwest I used to run a shop outside the Twin Cities, so I know that sometimes the manufacture-er doesn't get you all of the cigars you order for the event, and I know that you have a couple types of cigar reps - 1. greets people, explains their product, works the crowd 2. thinks being there is the end of the job, if people ask a question, you might get a two word answer The event....I remember when the store fist opened, they had car shows, helicopters, pig roasts, etc, to help get their name out there. Back then there were some empty fields around that people would park in due to half of the lot being lost with the other things going on. Now, what were empty fields are other businesses ... so the half of the parking that was lost to the car show and motorcycles for sale left people circling the lot and leaving. Once I got a parking place and went inside - it was about 1:30, the event started at 11:00 - there were 2 reps and one shop employee in the humidor talking guns. After I look around, I ask about 2 of their lines, asking about buying a box..."well we have 2 cigars left of this one size, that's it" then they all went back to gun talk again reps that don't care about consumers employees that here a customer wants to buy a box, and gun talk is more important When you advertise and event, you don't have any of the 6 or 7 sizes of 3 major blends for this company The shop itself...went looking for other boxes I might buy instead (when you drive 300 miles, you hope to make it worthwhile), 3 of the blends by Peppin I like, no full boxes. Fuente, well they had some Hemingway's, but not the Rs, not the Don Carlos , not the chateau line.
