I was visiting Kansas for work and stopped by Cigar & Tabac in Overland Park after speaking with Bob over the phone. Bob was extremely patient, answered all of my questions, and gave me the perfect recommendations. Because of how helpful he was, I decided to stop by in person and pick up some of my favorite cigars. They have a huge selection to choose from, and everyone there was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to sit down and enjoy a smoke since I had to get back to work, but on my next trip to Kansas I will definitely be back to relax and have a cigar there. I spent a couple nights here this week as I traveled. The staff are wonderful! The humidor was very large and well-stocked. Price range was reasonable for the area. I wish they were open a little later and that it was a little better ventilated. There was not a lot of smokers my first night and yet it was still very smoky. The second night there were more smokers and very very smoky. I will definitely return though when I'm in the area. read more

This is definitely a cigar shop. You'll know it as soon as you walk in. I've been there several times and everyone is smoking. Which, I guess if I worked there, I would be too. They have a nice large walk-in humidor, a lounge area, pipes, and plenty of accessories. The large selection and variety make it a ideal location for gifts. The staff has always been kind and courteous. They all seem like seasoned cigar smokers and would be quick to answer any questions. Their prices are very reasonable. I managed to find all my favorite cigars priced nearly fifty cents to a dollar cheaper than other shops. One of the best cigar shops in the area and I recommend checking it out. read more

I just went in to the shop and was so disappointed. The humidor is very large but it's mostly empty. The boxes that are on the shelves are empty! I was so hoping to Find this "hidden gem" someone else posted about. No offense, but unless you are an 80 year old man who likes run down strip mall, dirty man caves, don't go! I am a 40 something, hip woman who is used to great cigar lounges in California and Florida. What a shame!!!!! read more

I went in the store once it purchased cigar and never again the lady behind the counter which happened to be the owner's wife so she couldn't help me because she was busy unpacking something from UPS so I went and saw it and I got something and I noticed that inside the humidor they had heaters going because there's no heat back there and very big ventilation and a powerful smell coming from you restaurant next door smell like Indian food the ventilation in the store is terrible dirty scenes with dust roll over the fans dirty carpet in and chairs that were very uncomfortable I do not recommend going to the store at all I even asked you my military discount and they looked at me like I was crazy so that's the last time I had to go to a place like that and I do not recommend any other military personnel First Responders or anybody go to this establishment very bad service just not good they only have one television at work and it's just not a good situation I would not recommend read more

Great neighborhood cigar shoppe, great owner and staff, very helpful and informative when picking out cigars. They carry cigars from almost every major brand, from mild to strong, all sizes, organized very well, neutral on brand selection, they really want to satisfy the client's tastes. Good seating area, comfy chairs, nice clientele, usually good conversation, BYOB, nice relaxing shoppe for a smoke, or to stop by for cigar/pipe supplies. This place is not very good at all. Most of the times I went to this place the inventory is low. And over price compared to others. Even though I'm a new cigar smoker I know their stuff is overpriced compare to others because of people I talked in the area and I feel very unwelcomed when I enter in. I had to ask who worked there to even get someone to the cashier, no one says anything they just look at you. Which is the complete opposite of my experience at other stores. I've become indifferent about this place as of late. Some of the employees can be a bit aggro and obnoxious. Today's visit was mostly listening to the big guy explaining to a customer that he made the mistake at the register because he was still hungover at 5:30pm, which I don't know whether is a total bro move or entirely amateurish. I bought my usual half-pound of tobacco but should have checked the freshness before buying the prepackaged tobacco as it is relatively dry. It was the last of its kind on the shelf, in the very back. I'm sure it's because the stock is not rotated and I bought a bag that's a few months old. I'd return it but I'd rather call it a lesson learned and update my review than go back and deal with the abrasive employees. Pipe tobacco is one of the few things I try to buy locally and I enjoyed chatting with Roscoe when he worked there but now it just may be time to start buying that online, too. read more

There are no cigar snobs here, just a bunch of guys that like to smoke good stogies. There are plenty of places to sit and play cards, or hang out with friends. The humidor is huge and they allow smoking in it too. There are plenty of folks around to help with questions and the prices are excellent as well. I stopped in here on a trip from out of town because from the looks of their webpage and facebook it looked like they had a nice selection of pipe tobaccos. In my local area, decent pipe tobacco is hard to come by. Unless you want to smoke cheap Drugstore baccy, you have to order online or hit a decent tobacconist during your travels. This shop has a great selection of bulk blends as well as tinned tobacco. I don't recall the name of the older, grey bearded gentleman who helped me, but he was very attentive and helped me choose a couple blends. We had nice conversation, I grabbed a few ounces of bulk and a tin of Smooth Sailing and off I went. I did take a quick stroll through the humidor as well. Nice selection of cigars in the very spacious and well maintained humidor. Bravo to one of the last remaining full service tobacconists in the midwest. read more

Very very very rude. I had asked if they carried a specific brand and didn't clearly hear his response so I told him sorry and asked him to repeat it. He felt it necessary to very hatefully raise his voice to an aggressive level and said "No! We don't carry anything like that! Ok?" Horrible experience. read more
