Things are back open again and I come here almost daily (a benefit from working from home which is a 10 min walk.) and the quality and taste of the food has not changed. (This means they never cut back on the quality of their ingredients to cut costs during the lock down.) There are many items on the menu I have yet to try as I am a pizza guy and theirs is THE.BEST. As I'm writing this review, the owner is taking orders, helping the bartender and even interacting with the kids that want to see all the Star Wars stuff that is all over the place. :) This has always reminds me of the small pubs back home where community is key and people really do "know your name.". We met for drinks and everything seemed normal -- our card was taken and held at the bar all night, as usual. But when it came time to close out, a staff member suddenly accused us of possibly using a stolen or fraudulent card and demanded ID before we could pay, despite the card having been in their possession the entire evening. The staff member handling this was noticeably rude, and no one else on staff could explain why we were singled out for this treatment. Our group happened to be the only table made up entirely of people of color that night, which made the whole thing feel even more uncomfortable and hard to write off as a simple misunderstanding. I reached out to management multiple times afterward to get an explanation and never got a response, which is part of why I'm leaving this review instead. If this is a result of new management or a policy change, it's not a good look. I can't recommend this place anymore, and I'd suggest others be cautious
