Picked this spot because it was local. Good little local spot. The food was so amazing but the service wasn't the best. It took a bit of time to finally get a menu. We ordered the French dip, fish and chips, kids Mac n cheese, kids chicken tenders, and kids spaghetti and meatball. The fries were great! The chips they have are really good too. Fish batter was phenomenal. The French dip was spectacular. Tenders were good and so was meatball. The real star I feel was the kids Mac n cheese. For sure was expecting the normal Kraft. Nope! This night was HORRIBLE! It took over 25 minutes before they acknowledged I was even sitting at a table. Once we ordered, it took almost an hour to get our food. It didn't come out at the same time (4 in the party) so people ate at different times. And then when I asked when my steak salad would be out, it took them another 20 minutes. Went to Cassidy's for lunch yesterday, the place was quite busy. We had a party of 5. At 12:10, we ordered 3 fish and chips and 2 hamburgers. Around 12:45 our waitress told us our food should be coming out shortly. She told us the same a couple more times between 12:45 & 1. Called her to our table and told her we had a tee time at the local golf course. She checked with the cook and a couple of minutes brought the 3 fish & chips and said the burgers would be out shortly. At 1:10 I told our waitress that I was leaving and couldn't no longer wait for my hamburger, and I wasn't going to pay for food I didn't get to eat. The cook/manager came out to talk to us. Instead of addressing the issue, he was very rude and dropped a couple of "F" bombs. As a side note, the fish & chips were fish sticks and not appetizing, and the fries were greasy. The 3 that ordered them didn't eat them. This was not our 1st time having lunch at Cassidy's, but I can assure you it was our last. If I had a choice, I wouldn't even give it a 1star rating, they don't deserve it. read more

I want to love Cassidy's as a Johnstown resident. The food is great. However every single time I go in there the service is absolutely terrible and there's usually only one person working. Went in with my girlfriend Wednesday night and there was one bartender/waitress. We asked her for a drink and she said " you are going to have to wait." Not wanting to do Rask her anything again we waited 30 minutes to ask if we could order dinner and her response was "No she was too busy." We were afraid to ask her for anything she was so frazzled. When it was time to go I had to ask her for a box 4 different times. She said "I heard you the first time." if you like good food, terrible service and a fear to ask the server for anything this is your place! read more

She was too busy talking with bar patrons even though place was almost empty.n Quick review of menu shows this place only features bar food with focus on fried content. I ordered the Bronco burger with side of fries. I figure this shouldn't be Hard to make. Other than lettuce, tomato, and onion, they charge 50 cents each for adds like sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions, and you have to ask for which condiments because it came bare. Ice tea ordered with dinner was disgusting cheap blend. Plastic glass it was served in had taste of soap from cleaning. Place is mostly noisy gathering point for late night drinkers. Little to no decorating with cheap furniture. The Bartender turned up volume of 80's rock music after 9 to almost a ridiculous level. I guess after 9 "the party" starts although no one at the bar seemed to be moving above a heartbeat. I ordered burger at 8:45 PM and by 9:05 it still hadn't arrived. When it did, it was dry and overlooked (I ordered medium). This place really sinks in as not trying hard at all to either put good food in front of you or create a enjoyable atmosphere. Ok place to go. have had multiple problems with a bartender that works earlier in the day (lunch time) if her friends or daughter are there expect terrible service. Including food that is not to order. Also, you will pay for sides like ranch. Must be attuned to service like in Denver or Loveland. If you live in Johnstown head north or south for better service and food. It's really sad that Waffle House in Longmont is somewhere I would rather go for food. And the amount of time you spend there waiting for food is redickulous as well. Just be aware. On that note. The Avalanche Fries are decent as long as they are warm. read more

This is one of very few options in Johnstown, which is disappointing. The food is mediocre at best. We hoped that would change with new ownership, but no such luck! The only thing worth rating is their beer selection on tap, our favorites are the apricot and IPA. Stopped for gas in this small town and asked the clerk for recommendations of a place to eat and grab a drink and she recommended Cassidy's. We weren't disappointed. Pulled up and heard that they had a live band out back which was cool. Sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple of drinks, the southwest philly steak sandwich and chips & queso. All were quite good and didn't take long to come out - so we didn't have any issues with slowness at all. The bartender, who was the manager as well was friendly and took good care of us. Wow. Wish I had seen the 'F' rating from the most recent health inspection before going there! 9 violations! How on earth can they still be allowed to serve food? Three people in our party and all of our dishes were disgusting. So bad that we brought it home to give to our dogs but felt guilty giving it to them so we threw it away. I have had one too many uncomfortable experiences here to not say something. When my family moved to Johnstown in 2013, we had a great burger and a nice night there. It has been downhill ever since culminating in going there during a Bronco game, which I guess was a mistake? I'm not sure why it would be a bad idea to go to a sports bar during a sporting event. Staff stayed all huddled up at the corner of the bar like they always do. One table was being served by at least two people. No one came to greet us though they stared a lot which is something the staff does here quite a bit. We left and will not be back but I want the owners to know how uncomfortable it is to go to a place so clicky and unwelcoming. I bought a house here, lots of people have. Johnstown has been a bedroom community for surrounding areas for a while now. You have to deal with people you may not know, that's called running a business. The bartender manager is very pre occupied with customers she knows instead paying attention to others, she would probably find that people would come back if she was a little friendlier. the food was ok nothing to write home about.
