Update: his time line of events is incorrect. I never came up with my family to order. My kids don't eat sandwiches. It was only my 80 year old mother. There are other people who can attest to HIS rude behavior including city officials of the town. I never said any of the things that he claimed. More importantly, if you look at his google reviews...They're consist with what I've said here. And sure I post mostly when I'm pissed. I am not sure where to start. If I could give Outside The Box a 10 start review I would. When it comes to catering and being accommodating they are nothing short of fantastic, always on time and extremely easy to work with. Personally they have helped me celebrate our healthcare workers across South Florida over the last couple of years and its alway been a success. Goes without a saying the food is great, ingredients are top notch and alway fresh. A fan favorite over the years has been the Chicken Pesto and the Miami Cuban. This was the worst experience my community has had with a food truck. We have had monthly food trucks here and we have had no issues prior to using this one. It took several emails and texts to get them to respond to give us their ordering system so we could notify all our residents. Their response came Friday after business hours and therefore we could not notify the residents until Monday for Tuesday food truck night. In addition he limited the menu choices to 7 items which we were not told about nor were we given any choices for the 7 items Apparently they were not happy with the pre-orders so at 9:30 last night via text they canceled on us and left us high and dry without any time to find someone else for tonight They were rude and very difficult to deal with. I was hosting a Graduation party and wanted something fun for the adults and kids! Reached out to Bobby from out of the box and it was THE BEST decision ever! He created a fabulous menu - taco station (with fresh sushi), paninis, incredible sliders, salads and sandwiches! Something for everyone! We had over 100 people and everyone loved the food. I was lucky enough to encounter Outside the Box Sandwich Co at the city of Margate's 4th of July festival. I was really glad they were there, as many of the trucks were sticking with the typical 4th of July burgers, hot dogs, and bbq theme...I need veggie options. Luckily Outside The Box had three vegetarian options. A basic grilled cheese, a caprese panini, and a portobello panini. They also had a few other menu options that could be easily altered to be veggie friendly. I placed my order for the mozzarella caprese panini which came with a choice of chips or pasta salad. Since I wasn't doing the typical BBQ thing, I figured I had to go with at least one traditional bbq side, the pasta salad. The staff was super friendly, especially considering the crowds. They were able to keep the line moving along nicely and my sandwich was ready and served quickly. On the way back to our firework spot I swung by the gas station to pick up a beer (because America) and then sat down to enjoy my panini. It was perfectly grilled and melty, the bread tasted fresh, and the roasted red peppers, pesto, and balsamic really made for a perfect combo. I admit that combo is nothing ground breaking, but it was done very well. The pasta salad was really good. It was obviously homemade and was perfect combination of tangy and creamy. The serving was a little small, which is fine given the sandwich portion, but I would love if they would offer it in larger servings to make a meal out of. However, on second thought maybe I shouldn't be eating a large portion of creamy pasta...regardless it's delicious. Pricing is about typical for a food truck. The sandwich combo was an even $10, but I though the pricing was fair given the quality of the ingredients. I hope to encounter Outside The Box again soon so I can try the portobello panini....and get more pasta salad. read more

They came to our office (off of Broken Sound Pkwy in Boca) last Tuesday & are coming back again this Tuesday. I got a salad which was very good but not nearly as awesome looking as the sandwiches. The buffalo chicken sandwich is really, really spicy so you might want to ask for the sauce on the side...my friend couldn't even eat hers; luckily, I can take the heat! Recently had the pleasure of ordering from Outside The Box at a bikes & coffee event in West Palm Beach and I had to leave a review. Right off the bat they offer a well rounded and diverse menu with something for everyone, the ingredients are clearly of quality and equally delicious. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich which consisted of a nice warm ciabatta bread paired with a plentiful serving of ham, pork, and Swiss cheese, topped off with a liberal serving of mustard and pickles, delivered at the perfect temperature & culminating in the perfect sandwich, and one of the best I've had in South Florida. Seriously couldn't recommend them enough, the sandwich are of quality, prices are good, and crew is very polite and welcoming, 5 stars! read more

Had my first Outside the Box experience last night at the Funky Buddah. The food was great. Shared a Cuban and a Manhatan Wrap. Both very good. Everything was very fresh. The truck is super clean and the staff super nice. For a food truck lots of healthy options and really a good experience. If I was to have one complaint it is a little pricy for a sandwich but if they keep up the quality, freshness and good service, then I will continue to pay. read more

When I see an item on the menu that I can ask for and not need to alter at all I have a feeling it's going to be a winner and quite a treat. Sure enough that's what I was in for and got just this past night when Outside The Box rolled up to the Magic City casino in my hometown Miami for food trucks night! There are tons of greasy and not so healthy options all the time so this was a welcomed change. I ordered the "Brooklyn Special" and it was a delightful. A wrap with turkey and hummus and avocado and spinach and mushrooms and peppers on a spinach wrap was right up my alley. I then learned it came with a side of Tabouli and my dinner was complete. To me food trucks are always hit or miss and this was a perfect target bullseye. I only hope they come back down to Miami another day for this goodness you all have up in the 561. The base of any sandwich is the bread. This is what a sandwich is constructed on. You can have great ingredients and mediocre bread and that leaves with you a mediocre sandwich. This is a principle the Outside the Box Food Truck understands. I had their Cuban Sandwich recently and I loved it. The base of their Miami Cuban is an excellently baked Ciabatta Bread . Firm, slightly chewy and flavorful. Then they add excellent quality ingredients to their base - nice tender roasted pork, ham, swiss cheese, mustard and pickles, and then make it perfect, into a sandwich press it goes to be heated to perfection. The roast pork was flavorful and tender, not dry and chewy like so many other Cubans I have had. My only comment would be more pickles, but that is just me. This was complimented by a nice pasta salad and some excellent Tabouli. I'll be back to try another of their creations. That is for certain. If you see them, get a sandwich, you will not be disappointed. read more

My son got married in South Florida in February, and my wife and I hosted a welcoming reception and a farewell brunch at the beachfront home of the bride's parents. Looking for a non-traditional caterer, we found Bobby and his Outside The Box food truck. Working mostly long-distance, Bobby collaborated with my wife and the bride's mother to coordinate menus, setup, and a multitude of details. Most impressive was his willingness to serve as a one-stop shop - arranging for tables, linens, a bar and bartender, staff and of course all the food. For the welcoming reception, Bobby and his crew arrived ahead of time to coordinate things, and after a few tense moments related to getting a long food truck up a steep driveway, some creative driving got the job done. From there, the Outside The Box crew kicked into high gear and set everything up. Then the food started coming out of the truck in waves, with runners passing trays on multiple levels of the house and filling tables with sandwiches, salads and desserts. The bartenders were great, craft beer was flowing, and wine and a signature drink were enjoyed by all. From cuban sandwiches to Maple Leaf Farms duck sliders, the good was fantastic and the guests were eating it as fast as the crew could make it. The party was a rousing success, and the food truck crew did an amazing job. Fast forward to the day after the wedding, and Bobby and his team were back in business early Sunday morning while most of the guests were still fast asleep. They prepared an amazing spread - bagels, lox, fruit, granola, pastries, etc. The bar was back in business pouring mimosas and bloody marys. And the icing on the cake was a barista that Bobby brought in to make coffee, espresso, and some amazing Cuban inspired coffee drinks that were much needed and in high demand. When it was all over, the Outside The Box team cleaned up and made sure everyone was happy. If you find yourself at an event in South Florida where the Outside The Box food truck is open for business, avail yourself of some amazing food and some friendly people.
