Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful. My daughter got married here and everything was perfect. The staff did not smile much but the service was top notch. The manager was present and made sure everything was in order. The center atrium with the banyan trees were a rare space to walk down the aisle. Due to the cold air they brought out heaters to help make the guests comfortable. The food was 10/10 with the filet mignon cooked to perfection. The outdoor cocktail hour space is gorgeous, and the massive banyan tree in the courtyard is absolutely stunning. My only critique is the ladies' restroom. There are no hooks for your purse. For an event venue, this feels like a small but important detail that would make a big difference. came here for a wedding ...what beautiful wedding venue. Amazing property and staff. The ceremony was supposed to be outside but the weather wasn't cooperating. They stalled the ceremony and started with cocktail hour first. With open bar and 5ft long sushi boat and delicious passed hors d'oeuves including lamb chops, mini tomato soup and grilled cheese, mini Rueben's and more Then they moved the ceremony into the ballroom and made it work! Came here for an annual Holiday Event my association has at the Addison. Sadly I did not get to take photos of the set up but it was beautiful. The Venetian dessert spread was lovely and so many delicious options! We had the left ground level room with courtyard, full bar and hors d'oeuvres for 2 hours. The lamb lollipops were hands down the best But that is one of their winners. The courtyard was just stunning, sadly we didn't event realize we did not use it. My only suggestion was maybe whomever was managing our event that night, should of opened the doors to the courtyard for us to remember to use it. I went here for a networking event for Cornell (my alma mater) and we were in the building which usually has the dinners and the bar. This place was built by Addison Mizner in 1926. It was a lovely setting and the staff was definitely friendly and helpful.I tried different types of appetizers such as lobster wontons, meatballs and more! They have beautiful trees/ banyan trees outside as well. It is such a gorgeous setting that iI always enjoy going to this venue. You don't feel as if you are in FLA when you come here. Came here for a wedding, the venue was absolutely beautiful. They had these two big beautiful trees in the center of the place. It was definitely a small venue , I wouldn't see more than over 200 people as it was already really snug with about 115 people. The food was delicious, the only critique I have was I felt the dessert was lacking in flavor , it just didn't taste right. Between the flavor for the cream puff, and the flavor of the brownies none of them tasted as it should. Im a big sweets person so I know when something tastes off. I did not know about this place prior to being invited to my friend's wedding. There are actually not many venue spots in South Florida that I know of, probably because it is warm all year round and you could basically set up shop almost anywhere. When we arrived, we parked outside of the parking lot because we came from the Publix next door. There was valet available but no big deal. As we approached the venue, you could see how beautiful it was. Unfortunately we missed the ceremony due to just getting back from NYC. The cocktail hour was outside, where my friend was taking photos as well. Since this is a close friend, I am obviously close to her family and other friends so it did not take long for us to mingle and catch up with others. The outside was absolutely gorgeous and the ambiance was perfect. There is an abundance of space and many places to move around. After cocktail hour, we made our way inside. As you can see from the pics, the inside was gorgeous as well. We were provided with menus and shortly after being seated, servers came around to take our entree orders. I ordered the filet mignon. The risotto was amazing! The whipped potatoes were delicious and since we all loved it at our table, the server brought us out more! So yeah, I did not finish my steak lol. The dessert bars were insane! I love chocolate mousse and ice cream so I retrieved both! The coffee was really good as well. There was only beer and wine served so I cannot rate on how they make their drinks. I do not ever see myself throwing any elaborate parties in FL but if I do, I will definitely choose the Addison. The staff were professional and on point. The place was clean. The bathroom was gorgeous as well. Oh and the hors d'oeuvres were fantastic! I regret not snapping pics of those! She carried my dress train everywhere, she made sure to put my flats to change into under the sweetheart table, she put all my stuff in our get away car and had valet pull it up front at the right time. Went for Thanksgiving dinner. Was a wonderful experience. The 125$ a person was not bad, considering it included valet, all you can drink wine, beer, etc, and your food. The one thing that was a surprise was the added on top 24% gratuity when the check came, but it was well worth it considering the amount of waiters always ready to fill your glass or help. What a great spot for a wedding! My little sister from another mister chose to have her love celebration here and the place did not disappoint. There reception was here as well. The decorations in the place were beautiful!!! Tons of flowers everywhere and for a wedding with about 200 they were able to accommodate spacing for the reception very well, plus still have a dance floor. Now I will say the ceremony was a little cramped and you were sitting in very close quarters. The reception was set up with some tables off in the wings of the rooms but honestly you did not feel left out. There was also a separate room for a cocktail hour and they definitely had the cocktails and hors d'oeuvres coming! The food was on point! Most times (in my opinion) when venues do the food the lack in taste but that was not the case here. Every dish that came out had so much flavor and there was no lack in the waiters coming around. They stayed coming very consistently while they transitioned the ceremony room into reception flow. The dinner had different entre choices I went with the salmon and it was phenomenal! There was some sort of sauce on top and I found myself wishing it had been drizzled all over everything. The waiters came around consistently taking drink orders plus you could walk up to the bar. The details were amazing the venue set up. From the rose shaped butter to holding umbrellas for each guests to walk through the rain The Addison did not disappoint. Attended my cousin's wedding here and was blown away by how gorgeous the venue was and how incredible the food and hors d'oeuvres were. Still to this day our family raves about the food lol. The outdoor venue is lined with trees, plants, hanging lights, stone staircases and floors, a fountain, it looks straight out of a fairytale. Our Daughter was married on Saturday, July 20, 2024 in an absolutely stunning ceremony at the Addison surrounded by the 100 yr old Banyan trees , historical architecture, a beautiful fountain, and balmy warm weather. My daughter was escorted down the aisle by her father, surrounded by her 184 guests. Violin music was playing for the entire procession including the brides sisters and spouses, Grooms parents, Mother of the Bride, Flower Girls , Ring Bearers and wedding party. Raymond the Wedding officiant conducted a meaningful ceremony with Bride and Groom exchanging vows and rings in front of their honored guests under the Banyon Trees. Coctail Reception hour was held in the Main dining room with 2 open bars ( well staffed) Hors D'oeuvres ( Butler passed) including Mini GrilledCheese with Tomato Basil Bisque ( overall favorite) Grilled Chicken Skewer (absolutely delicious)Lollypop Lamb chops( moist and flavorful)Carmelized Watermelon ( refreshing) Avocado Toast, Spicy Ahi Tuna Tostada, all so very delicious. We also had a Cocktail Hour Display of Imported & Domestic Cheeses, nuts, figs, apricots, dried cranberries, pistachios, walnuts and assorted crackers. Champagne Flutes were attractively displayed during Cocktail hour with name and table assignments which had a definite "WOW" factor. Dinner served in the Mizner Ballroom was outstanding, with a choice of Sea Bass or NY Strip, served with Organic Mixed Green Salad, mashed potato, and sautéed Broccolini. Wedding cake was the dessert and served by the waitstaff (delicious, good choice). A Late Night Pizza station was a big hit! Our guests are still raving about all the delicious Hors D'oeuvres, cheese display, and 14 oz NY strip and Sea Bass and pizza. No one went hungry! I actually got married at the Addison several years ago and I have been to the Addison for Thanksgiving dinner previously and was particularly dissatisfied this time as many things were missing / not replaced from the buffet such as stuffing and every single pie dessert was unavailable because they didn't have enough, most items in the chaffing dishes were cold. I requested the business card of Ken, the event manager, he then came over following dinner offered a similar dessert that was already on the buffet, big deal! Was it worth the money I don't think so? They also wanted to seat us right next to the fountain outside which is super noisy when there were at least five tables available on the upward balcony, we asked to wait for another table they said it would take at least 5 to 15 minutes to seat us so we sat directly in front of the hostess stand and waited, no one else came in to be seated in that area that we requested, they finally seated us at the table we requested.
