Our dog, Shaka, just loved spending time with her and the other pups she cared for. We were a little worried at first about his temperament being around others (humans and other animals) since he gets a little skittish, but he seemed to thrive there. When it was pick-up time, he was always happy and seemed to sleep very well from getting his exercise and socialize in. (He also smelled great on his longer stays. Thank you for the baths!) Jen is super flexible and communicative. We were so appreciative of this since we tend be rather spontaneous and would ask to drop him off the day before sometimes. We also would extend his stay last minute, for example, when we were taking road trips and wanted to stop for the night instead of driving all the way through a town. (Sorry and thank you so much, Jen!) Shaka has stayed over from one day to two weeks (possibly more), and each time, we've received text updates from her and even pictures of him happy with his friends. I always looked forward to those. Shaka passed away early last year, and I've been meaning to write this for a long time to say, "Thank you, Jen!" for being such a wonderful caregiver and trustworthy and friendly person overall. She is covered in hair and dead skin. I don't know what they are thinking but it is not a $75 haircut. They told me 1-2 hrs and I had to call after 5 hours. I had been bringing her to Bark Zone for at least 4-5 years and this never happened until they hired a new staff. I will have to wash her now with enzyme shampoo to soothe her skin and clean her off. They also raised the prices and the girl that handed her off to me just looked at me with a blank stare. No explanation as to her state. No updates. No customer service skills. On the quick ride home my jeans were covered in dead skin and hair. Wtf. Never again.

Fifi and I were matched with Meredith. Together we chose the Board and Train Camp which included on-leash obedience level 1 and off-leash obedience 2. Meredith is a highly skilled dog trainer with impressive credentials. She has some kinda magical powers over dogs. But, what I liked most is she understood my Fifi's personality and capabilities. . I knew Fifi was in good hands and would be safe during her time away from me. Fifi was returned to me with a solid, SOLID, set of skills. She also is confident, brave and excited to join my daily excursions. We are able to understand each other's language and now we work together very easily. I took my ragdoll cat, Isabella, to Cats in the City today for a tandem grooming appointment. I'm naturally an anxious person and have always done my own pet grooming because of trust issues, but this place completely put me at ease. The staff is incredibly professional and clearly knowledgeable about cat behavior. They walked me through the type of grooming Bella needed and explained their process, which was very reassuring. We dropped her off around 9:45 AM and received a text around noon letting us know she was ready. She got the full package: deshedding, teeth brushing, nail trim, bath, sanitary shave, and bib trim. They also email you a little report card of what occurred during the visit. Overall, a great experience and I feel really comfortable bringing her back.
