The food and the service were both amazing! We came here looking for wings and ended up ordering two pizzas (one half borracha and half buffalo, and the other pizza was a pepperoni (for the kids). When my two year old eats two whole slices, that says a lot! The wings were also really delicious. The restaurant is very kid friendly and they have small chairs and a book shelf with books for little ones. We met one of the owners and he was very friendly. Came around to say hello and welcomed us. He told us the back story to our new favorite pizza (La borracha) and how he came up with it. You can tell they value family, customer service, and their delicious food! We will be back to try more and continue to order our favorites! read more

I never heard of this restaurant before but stopped in because I was in the area and wanted to get something light to eat. I'm really glad I did. The staff were wonderful, the music was great and there are multiple TVs. Yvette and I didn't catch the gentleman's name that was with her, I assume he may be a manager but they were both great. It was great talking with them. I ordered mozzarella sticks, a Greek salad and a piña Jarrito. I really would like to come back and try the pizza. This pizza is THE BEST I have ever eaten!!! The dough, sauce, cheese and toppings are always the perfect amount. They cook their food to perfection. I also ordered the garlic bread bites and wow, so delicious with the marinara and they were perfectly crispy on the outside and pillowy bread on the inside. Found it! The Boracha is best. Sooo good. We have had many pizzas and this is our favorite. Second is the BBQ Chicken. It is so delicious, smokey, and just lightly bbq so you get the high quality ingredients. You have to get the garlic knots. Even the chunky tomato sauce is good. The beef pepperoni pizza here at OvenHead is the kind that you think about weeks later. Wowzers! This halal/kosher friendly family owned pizza joint offers so many flavors and toppings that blow your mind! The pizza comes out piping hot, freshly made to order. The staff are all so incredibly kind. And even the vegan pizza offers ooey gooey goodness. We came in as a family with my two year daughter old and my 8 year old nephew. I'm not a huge pizza head, but when I want one-- I want one. One of our Yelp events featured this restaurant, and it allowed us to try any pizza specialty pizza or design our own. We opted for the carnivora added sausage and the Thai spiced wings. Now, I'm a thick crust girl, and this wasn't the thickest but it was perfect. The pizza was really fresh and the wings were really good. We ate both in their entirety. The only drawback (to me) is the only non carbonated drink they had was water, and everything else was in a can. That may be typical for pizza places, but I'd love to at least have a lemonade or something as an option. The manager was very personable and nice. He introduced himself and held a lengthy conversation with us, which was nice. They even had the tiny desk groovin on the playlist. We would return! read more

We tried two of menu items that seemed unique. Starting with the akawi pie which was slightly sweet and so delicious. Our 2 year old son ate several slices of this. We ordered the borracha pizza and it was amazing. We had a piece of tasty tiramisu to go! They have a few beers on draft and some bottled Beverages. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Very cute new pizza spot with patio! Lots of options including build your own pizza. The added bonus for me is that they don't serve pork products at all which opened up even more options for me. Had the pleasure of coming out to try a promotion pizza to which I got to pick either one of their specialty pizzas or build my own - I went with their pepperoni perfection with easy sauce and I also ordered wings. The spot is a cozy little joint with enough seating that a group of friends can sit down and enjoy a slice while watching the game. They also have seating available outside. The staff were super friendly and willing to accommodate. The lemon pepper wings to me tasted a little too much like the grease for my liking. The pizza was better. As I have been here on a multitude of locations, I've had the opportunity to meet the owner as well as most of the staff, all of which have notable joy & pride in what they do! I have had the opportunity to try multiple types if pizza from here & can truly say have had no disappointments. I also tried their wings which, while not their specialty, still hit the spot and are well sauced! If you are looking for recommendations, I would go with either the borracha pizza if you don't mind a little sweet heat, or the Alfredo chicken spinach if you are looking for something milder. We kept seeing raving reviews & tik tok's about this place so we finally tried it out. We were very underwhelmed & felt like it was overpriced. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. The food was mediocre at best. The buffalo sauce had a great taste, but the wings were tiny (as most people mention) and were dry if they weren't rubbed into the sauce under them. The pizza was kind of a let down. Maybe we just got a bad one. The cheese almost felt like it was old and reheated even though it had just been made. We also felt it lacked sauce. My fiancé I dined in on a Sunday night although there was a wait it was completely worth it! Went here at 3pm on a Monday so it was a bit sleepy. It's also out of the way if you don't live in Mesquite but trust me that it's worth up to 30mins drive. I got a Deluxe pizza and it was very tasty. The toppings are very generous and well distributed. The crust is thin and the texture is perfect - yeasty, not too doughy or too dry. There is a good amount of indoor seating, and the vibe is casual where you order at the front. We got a half alfredo and half supreme pizza. I didn't know what to expect for the pizza, but let me tell you it was really good! There were plenty of toppings, and the crust was thin and balanced. My only quibble as other reviews have mentioned is the price - $17 for a 12 inch pizza (equivalent to a Domino's medium) is high, but I will say the flavor lives up to the price. This place is a wonderful local pizza joint. The staff was friendly, the business was clean and well maintained, and food was cooked promptly. We ordered a half carnivore and half luau plus a side of garlic bread. The pizza was well cooked. The crust was thinner with a nice crispy undercarriage while the toppings were cooked well but not over. A 12-inch pie is perfect for two to share, plus garlic bread, and you could feed 4 if you don't have large eaters. I would love to come back and try more pizza varieties. They have an eclectic assortment with classic favorites and house originals. Next time, we plan to try more exotic flavors and try out the other cheese bread.
