My son celebrated his birthday here recently (October 4) and this place really shined bright! We took up the entire back wall plus another row of tables the same length. The servers never got frustrated or impatient with us. We weren't rowdy but there were a lot of us! Our bread (hot, yummy rolls) was brought out quickly, the orders kept coming for soft drinks and wine. The ladies - one was Kejsi (name on the receipt) were so nice! Someone near me ordered a pizza and it was delicious! so much better than those chains. I ordered my go-to - Manicotti ($12.99). I was pleased to see it wasn't swimming in as much grease as other places. I also had 2 glasses of Cabernet Savignon ($11). Just a heads-up, they tack on a 'non-cash adj' on your receipt - mine was $.84, so not a big deal, but strange. Why not just increase your prices by $1? I recommend trying this place out any time, the booths look comfy and it's a nice, clean place. Good food, prices and service - can't beat it! I got a Margherita pizza and a Caesar salad and I asked for extra dressing on the salad. The salad is so overloaded with dressing that it is inedible. I am from out of town and admittedly I had never been here before & I didn't know how much dressing came on the salad to begin with, but extra doesn't mean that the salad is drowning in dressing. That's not what that means. Please tell your staff that extra dressing means maybe half a serving more of what you normally put on your salad. I came back to my hotel room and had to try to clean off the lettuce with Kleenexes just to get some of the dressing off the salad and then I eventually resorted to flipping it over into the plastic lid from the foil container and wiping out the foil container and then putting the salad back in and then rinsing the plastic lid. And now the salad is so soggy that it is not good. The few bites that I had tasted great, but there was way too much dressing and your kitchen staff really needs to get a grip. read more

Found this place on UberEats. Was craving a NY style pizza, but none of the big chains sounded appealing. Joe's served exactly what I was looking for. The crust is perfect! I have enjoyed sharing lunch with my sisters at this location for decades chicken Florentino is one of our favorites ....also the salmon piccata is so delicious it's hard not to order it every time...I tried the scampi Cesar salad last visit and the shrimp were so delicately seasoned with a freshness I have yet to find elsewhere in Mesquite. Our meals were delivered to our table at the perfect eating temperature by the friendly staff along with wine and warm garlic bread prior to the meal. I can't wait till our next visit. We ordered the lasagna pizza and a cold sub from UberEATS and there were pros and cons with both. The pizza looked really gross, but was astonishingly delicious to eat. The 12" cold cut sub was really good but their in-house dressing (which is the only kind they have) is pretty nasty. It's like a sweet, oily, watered down pizza sauce. It looks like red wine vinaigrette, but it definitely isn't that. At least it's served on the side so you can taste and decide for yourself without it ruining the sub. read more

My feud with Joes on Galloway goes back to this photo I took in 2022. 4 bucks for this salad. Well, I normally have a strict 3 screw up and done policy. I decided to give ol Joes one more try. Joe's is one of my favorites around town. My only beef is the amount of shrimp included in the Shrimp Scampi. It's certainly good, but the amount of shrimp needs to be improved in order for it to be worth the price tag. read more

I must say that it is a site to see. The place was well lit and very clean. The bathrooms were so pristine that, if I lacked sense, I could lay my purse on the floor/counter. They have reasonably priced food... especially for lunch. My friends order the lasagna and I went with the Chicken Florentine. As we waited for our meals, we each had a side salad as well as bread (that I couldn't resist... even after telling myself that I'll suffer later!). Yelped this place since it was highly rated and decided to check it out. Bottom line: pizza is a 5.2 score (Barstool pizza rating scale). I ordered a Margherita pizza from this restaurant on a Friday night and was told it would be ready in about 15 minutes for pickup. The restaurant is located in Mesquite off of 635. The inside had a lot of open seating and had silverware/napkins at each seat. There is a to-go area near the kitchen. The pizza came out straight from the oven and was piping hot. There was quite a bit of toppings, but no marinara sauce(?). By the time I got home the pizza was still hot, but decided to dig in. The pizza was disappointing - extremely floppy and undercooked. The crust was too doughy near the center and didn't hold up well, so I put a slice in my own air fryer to cook it a little longer. The re-cooked pizza tasted better; the crust was crispier. Maybe it was an off night and they were rushing orders out, but I'm used to pizzas with a crispier, firmer crust and not soup-like. Wouldn't recommend this place for the pizza. read more

Tried the 18" regular brick oven cooked pizza with pepperoni, onions and jalapeños. Make sure you order extra crisp as it was a little undercooked. Not their fault more mine. Also tried their lobster ravioli with sauce. Sauce was great but the ravioli was a little underwhelming. Tasted more fishy inside and didn't spot any lobster. Loved the sauce.
