I got the Fettuccine Alfredo pasta with chicken, spinach, and mushrooms and let me tell you... that pasta was so creamy and delicious. The bread was nice and toasty too. My friend got a cheese pizza which was also nice and toasty. The Cabernet was served room temp tho I would have preferred chilled. Well?, I'm on a Pizza Quest. I travel around an enlarged area extending to McKinney back into Dallas as far as West Fort Worth & as far east as Royse City sampling pizza from the various chains & Independents. Chicago style deep dish pizza is damn expensive but satisfyingly filling Needing only one or two slices to get you stuffed, but when you really think about it?, Ingredient for ingredient pound for pound?, all Pizza's are as expensive. I remember Piggy's-Pies when it was down on Abrams & Northwest Highway In the 1980s & 90s But I don't mostly like pigs of any variety, thin blue line or not.... So I never really tried them not even once. Today I really wanted delivery and so I googled the closest place to my location, which was only 11 miles away & that was Piggy-Pies now on Greenville Avenue next to Cafe Izmir just a little bit north of Mockingbird Ln. How do I know because I had to go pick up my order when I went online and placed it not through DoorDash or any of those other delivery services but simply to have it delivered it said my location which is just 11 miles away was outside of their delivery zone. I thought what the hell I have a stolen credit card I might as well try to use it & just go get my lazy ass off of the couch & go & pick up my order - The online billing defaults to 20% tip, which I thought was repugnant since I was the one going to pick up my order so I gave myself a tip & zeroed it out without leaving any kind of tip at all. This entitled tip mindset these days is absolutely stunningly obnoxious to me: "If you can't tip 30% then you shouldn't be going out or dining out anyways" - GTFO: absolute rubbish. I'm glad that they offer 8 inch pizzas at 10 bucks each with additional 7 toppings at no extra charge apparently - But really how much more can you get on a stupid small-af 8 inch pizza?. I got 3 different pizza so that I could sample along with the breadsticks & everything needed salt, but I get the no salt kick for today with everybody thinking salt is somehow bad for your health (gtfo). Yeah, the government wants what's best for us right with their food recommendations? STFU. Anyways, it wasn't bad. It could've been better. The crust was dry when it should've been buttery. The toppings were superb, but there was a little bit too much Parmesan cheese on the breadsticks, which actually gave it sort of a burnt taste. But I'm a former culinarian & chef so I'm a bit hard to please maybe as to my expectations & evaluations. My #1 pick for the best pizza in Dallas is still Bay 34th St. on Midway Road just north of Alpha. My #2 pick would have to be (so far) Piggy-Pies My recommendations for "Piggy-Pies"? go with a more hydrated dough use a little cornmeal & I would bast or spray the crust while they're baking with some butter - whole butter, maybe even salted butter. Have gone here a few times and it was always pretty good. I rarely will complain about pizza. However, I ordered medium mushroom pizza and it was mostly liquid, few mushrooms, and cheese was completely off to the side. It was like having a bunch of flaps of dough. Very disappointed. read more

I have ordered 5-6 times from Piggie Pies, both for lunch and dinner. I am so impressed with how consistent the food and service has been. The pizza has always arrived piping hot. It has arrive quickly, the driver is always pleasant, and the pizzas have never failed to be delicious. I ordered a salad this last time and it was huge, ingredients were fresh, and the balsamic dressing tasted great. I enjoyed 3 meals of the salad and pizza, so it was well worth the price. Mike the owner decided he wanted to verbally assault us for 20 minutes after we asked for a refund cause the pizza was not quality. Not sure if he was intoxicated or just a fragile man. Him and his staff were disturbingly "off" and letting their clearly intoxicated friends yell in the restaurant and walk out with glasses of beer. Either way I would avoid this place but the TABC and DSHS will most certainly be making a stop soon. read more

Pretty simple place to review. Amazing food, amazing Service, and friendly staff. And of course, it's always appreciated when the place is nice and clean with an inviting atmosphere. On my visit, I ordered a pie and breadsticks. My wait was short and the food was delicious. I went on a Saturday night, and did not have a problem getting parking. I went here because of PI day and saw they have one of the best pizza's in Dallas. I called to place my order and the pizza and ordered their 16 inch pizza and the popular pig pen pizza for $25.70 and ranch sauce for $1.25. I guess their ranch sauce is popular that they have signs posted everywhere about the price. The pizza takes around 20 minutes to cook and prepare. I arrived 40 minutes for pickup. I also love the name of the pizza as it is a name you can not forget. I picked up the pizza and was in and out of the restaurant for pickup. They have a parking lot dedicated to the place. They forgot about the jalepeno's on the pizza on the side. When I came home the pizza was warm, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. I wish I had a slice when it was fresh as I had to drive in traffic which took another hour, but next time. read more

The food is excellent! We ordered pablano pepper pasta and a pizza. The pizza was half BBQ chicken & half Thai chicken (you can order a half & half pizza). Everything was very flavorful. We have enough leftovers for another meal, portions are large. A man, who I assume was the owner, greeted us as we were walking in. He later stopped by our table to ask how everything was. It's been years since I had a pizza from Piggie Pies. Now they have a beautiful restaurant on Greenville near my other old haunts, including The Granada and Snuffers, and their pizza is still incredible. An updated menu offers a gourmet collection of pizzas and there are salads and lots of yummy sounding pasta dishes, too. I saw breadsticks, wings and a nice list of M-F Lunch Specials, too. There's plenty of dedicated parking in front of the restaurant which is a sweet deal on Greenville. You order at the counter after you walk in the door or you can take a seat at one of the many tables inside or out on the patio and peruse a menu. I had checked out the menu online and conferred with my husband prior to coming, so we dove right in and ordered the Pig Pen; an everything type pizza with pepperoni, hamburger sausage, ham, fresh mushrooms, black olives, green bell peppers, onions with the extra addition of anchovies by us. We took a seat, then explored a little (there's a fireplace on the patio) got our drinks, took some pix and then Wow! a beautiful pizza arrived. This 16" Pig Pen had a regular crispy crust, big pieces of seasoned Italian sausage and hamburger with lots of fresh veggies and cheese, and a sauce fragrant with herbs. (Too big for two people to finish, we took half of it home.) We got the special, available anytime for 0.75 less than from the regular pizza section. No strings attached, it's not any different and I'm not not sure why it's a little bit cheaper. It's just the 16" though. The restaurant is modern looking and well appointed. Staff were enthusiastic and engaging and the place was very busy. We would definitely go back. Loved the pizza! read more

Came here for pizza and breadsticks. The breadsticks were great. The pizza was mid very rarely do I splurge calorically and get a pizza today was the day that I did And got extremely disappointed. Ingredients were there but not tasty at all. Crust was not too thick or too thin and the right amount of crispy but yet still had an off taste. Breadsticks were amazing but I believe the ownership should taste the local options and compare the quality of their ingredients.
