This place is amazing. I can't believe we haven't been here before. This is the best mom and pop toy store I have ever been to. They have a bit of everything for all age brackets. It certainly woke up the child in me. We went in to find things for the grandkids but I bought stuff for my adult son and had to restrain myself from purchasing things for myself. They have indoor and outdoor toys, wonderful books, learning toys, games, dress-up, soft toys, art, small and large items, baby items. I can't even tell you all the cool stuff they have. If you are a hands-on parent or grandparents who doesnt want your kids face shoved in a damn cell phone all day, this is where you need to go to detach them from that garbage. Lots of selection, different age groups, themes, science section, art, everything! I'm sure I missed a whole lot. I'm also sure every other store might be cheaper by 10-20$ but you can get last minute things and they do a complimentary gift wrap for you. You're not coming here to save money, but you're supporting local at least. It's also nice to get some unique toys. I walked into the store and there was one other person. The worker was vacuuming and she walked right by me didn't even look. Two more employees had walked by when I was in there nothing from them either the guy checking out was at least nice, but they don't help you unless you ask probably. read more

Omg! Only the best local toy store since KB toys! We were leaving The Walking Store during the Christmas Eve Eve rush, and I knew it was now or never to finally see what Over The Rainbow could offer. Boy oh boy, they literally have everything the big department stores don't. Like items you would search for on Amazon are here. We are a neurodivergent family with neurodivergent kiddos and all the squishies, sensory toys and activities we found here. So many Montessori centered pre-k toys and educational items. They even have a little library. Over the Rainbow carries a few black owned small brands and I loved that. Over the Rainbow was wrapping gifts during Christmas and we so appreciated that. This store was the best. I was looking for Brio train set accessories and they had a big selection! So appreciative of all they offered, and they were so kind and helpful. They also gift wrapped my items and helped me sign my kiddos up for birthday rewards. I will be shopping here from now on for my toy needs! Great selection of toys for kids of all ages, maybe a little spendy. There is a very odd demeanor amongst the staff, like they're supposed to pretend you're not there and there is absolutely no customer service. This place is cool for your Toy needs, you know Birthdays, Holidays and uh oh Judy needs a gift for a co-workers baby shower, tomorrow ... okay right near our post office! I got just the place! 1st time in wall to wall toys! Asked a staff member and she took us to the right spot for 0-3 Month Olds. We perused, had memories of some toys we bought when our youngest was a infant. After deciding on one learning toy and a combo teether well now we have to get a gift bag. Such a wonderful local toy store in a great location! We do all our Christmas and birthday shopping here and I really appreciate the free gift wrapping. The staff is helpful and kind. Haven't had a bad experience here. When looking for the perfect baby shower gift, there is a whole section divided by child's age. Need new baby bath toys? A section for that too. From inexpensive to high quality (and more spendy) toys, they have a huge variety. Quick place to run in and pick up a birthday gift, they have cards available and gift wrap for free too. From dolls, accessories, toy cribs, ride on toys, pop up play castles, toddler shopping carts, legos, puzzles, games, books and stuffed animals, there is so much to look at. Princess section with dresses, crowns, wands and so on. I always take my kids here to splurge after PFD or on a rainy day. read more

My granddaughter and I went there to buy her some miniature toys.. everything was fine as we were going to check out the lady at the register was not friendly at all and felt like she was looking down on us being natives.... I really fell in love with this store. I thought I'd be yawning and begging my kids to leave but I was so wrong! I couldn't get over the smurf stuff (and I remembered Gargamel's name!) Raggedy Ann, and TINKER TOYS! I seriously felt like I was 8 again. We walked out with a game called "Dirty Laundry" for $10.00 and a really good quality magnetic dart board for $30. I thought the prices were great and the staff was helpful. OH, and the kids enjoyed it too. TOYS everywhere to play with. read more

Forget big box stores like Walmart, Target or Toys R Us for toys - this place is packed with everything your child would want and more. Hell, I don't even have kids and I wanted to buy everything for myself. Not to mention, their prices are really unbeatable considering most of these products you can not even find in generic stores - which makes this spot even more unique. They seriously offer everything you can think of - including arts & crafts books and boxes, various dolls and dress up gear, toys that enhance developmental learning, a wall full of games, furniture and books on books on books, just to name a few. You really just have to go check it our for yourself, regardless if you have children or not! This may be a good spot for the kids you do have in your life - nieces, nephews, grandkids? This toy store kicks Toys R Us in the freaking face and throat and stomach repeatedly. As a mother of a 4 year old, we are constantly on the lookout for cool things for her to expand her horizons and just plain old entertain her. If I wanted her to get a cheap plastic piece of crap, I'd just go to Walmart. This place is special and we buy all her little friends their birthday gifts here. Also a great place to spoil our nephew. My husband and I end up having just as good a time as our kid does and we love going here. Oh and the staff is absolutely amazing. They love kids (kind of important) and they're KNOWLEDGABLE. I didn't know that was a discipline that needed to be learned but it is and they master it! They can suggest so many cool toys based on your kid and their interests. And they have toys set up throughout for kids to try, which is always fun because I can gauge how interested she'll be in something I buy her. My daughters love of art is because this place had amazing products to kindle that flame and ignite it. So pleased to be a regular here. If this place closes, I'll riot. read more
