Weird experience. Walked in excited to buy supplies for my bestie's cake and was met with nothing but stares. Multiple employees made eye contact and not one acknowledged me or offered to help. I asked one question that got answered as I was paying. Paid for my items and left. If making customers feel unwelcome is the goal, mission accomplished. Maybe I just don't look like their demographic? Either way I won't be back. Bummer bc I wanted to take their classes. I haven't baked for so long. We had more cake supplies stores in San Antonio which closed down including Michael's not having enough supplies. This is the second time I visit this store within the last month. They do have a lot of things in a small space. Everything is highly priced though. I would put 0 stars if it let me Everytime I come here all the female employees are SO rude? for no reason? it makes me regret walking in the door, their tones are condescending and bothered. We took an evening cupcake decorating class and it was a blast! The instructor was so knowledgeable and talented, and excellent at explaining the steps, while also encouraging creativity. The facility has great parking, easy online sign-ups, and provides all needed materials and more with registration. Will definitely be returning! read more

This store is cute and has almost everything I look for. However, the employees are absolutely rude!! When you walk in they immediately look at you like what are you doing there and don't even dare ask them a simple question because they respond to you with an attitude and like you are wasting their time. Customer service is horrible! You ask a question and they look annoyed like you're bothering them. They talk loudly about their personal lives using profanity while children are in the store. Never fully stocked on basics like piping tips and cake drums. They are over priced and unfortunately the only reason I go there is cause my go to cake supply store recently closed down. Brought my God daughter during the Christmas time for a gingerbread making class! I literally Googled cooking classes in San Antonio and found this place by chance. My God daughter had a blast and so did I. We even won the gingerbread making contest and got a $50 gift card to their shop. I'm very glad I found it! read more

Tried to return a baking pan because I didn't notice it was uneven or damaged on the bottom when I brought it and they wouldn't except the return of course it says no returns but it's a baking pan not something edible I had the receipt they could have asked if I wanted to at least exchange it. I feel very disappointed in this place. For years I have bought here and to earn reward points to earn discounts and finally after many purchases I earned 20 dollars but the product I bought was not the right one so I called to exchange it for what I needed and they asked if I could go to the store to make a change and when, I told them that if I could do what they wanted and needed and that if they could respect the reward points they told me no and that made me feel very disappointed nothing why At least when I called by phone they would have told me that I could not make a change in the product. The person who answered the phone told me that if I could always return it and when I had the receipt and so I did it even worse, they did not return my points and I overpaid them. Sure I could've gone to all the chain craft stores, but I needed pro status products, so I used the handy-dandy Yelp! app and found the store there. It's a small store front. They have a small selection of everything you might need. I was searching for luster dust (not the sh***y powder/fish scale looking stuff Wilton sells) and gel food color(again, not Wilton!). I bought chocolate buttercream icing on Thursday and didn't have enough so I went back this morning for more and am disgusted at what I found. There was MOLD inside the icing!! (See the pics attached) I threw my original receipt away from Thursday (thinking I could trust the stuff I bought) and now they are giving me a hard time and not wanting to refund my money back from Thursday's trip. I am disappointed and disgusted to say the least. PLEASE CHECK THE ICING YOU BUY FROM THIS PLACE! Now I have to buy a completely new cake for my grandpas 74th birthday. This is only baking supply store that has everything I need in one place!! I drive 25mins every time. As a regular cake decorator I need cake supplies every now and then, so when I drive down, I don't need to think of not getting the things I need for the cake. The employees are good, asking if you need help with anything. To top it all you get points as you shop and those points are turned to dollar amount you can use to buy cake supplies.
