    Dumb and dumber

This morning, as I do every Sunday, I went and purchased $30 of sweet bread. I purchased 6 pineapple empanadas, along with other pieces. I have never had an issue with the quality or freshness of the sweet bread. But this time, the pineapple ones had a strange smell and taste. After tasting the first one, we didn't even touch the rest. I went back in to ask if they can exchange them or just give me credit for next Sunday. The women seem in the photos, were the rudest ones ever! They both denied my exchange and refused to contact the manager to make her aware of the situation. One of the employees told me it was my fault and that I should taste the bread before I left the building. The morning crew isn't the nicest but at least they have never acted ir treated me the way these 2 imbeciles did. They told me id have to speak to the manager on Tuesday since, they are closed on Mondays. Employees like this should not be working the counter, they should be kept in the back away from paying customers. Gatas mal-pagadas, amargadas! Horribles modos, y no tienen educacion para atender a los clientes. Traen la cara de amargura y bien miserables!

Being my neighborhood bakery and all, I adore this place. Mostly, because they sell a dozen fresh handmade tortillas for about 2 dollars. These are delicious and addicting. Best part I don't have to make them! Aside from that it's a general Mexican bakery. Pan de huevos, empanadas, and marranitos galore. Everything is baked daily and is delightful. Like most Fiesta bakery's this place is cash only. I usually do quite well with the extra change my drink holder in the car occupies.

Pan Dulce for days!!! The softest cookies you'll ever find!

This is the only Pan Dulce place that I will go too on the Southside of San Antonio. My family and I have been going here since it open many years ago, and nothing much has changed. Their pan dulce is always fresh and their tortillas are down right soft and fluffy! When you come here I would like to recommend these particular treats...the cookies...all of them are to die for, the rocks with pink icing, the duranzos (sp?), campechanas, and the piggies. Those are the few that I feel you need to take at least a few home with you. Go crazy on the cookies though. The prices for each of these treats is very reasonable and the customer service is always great when I go there. I rarely see this location where there isn't a car stopping by to grab their fave pan dulce. Omg...how could I forget the cake with pink icing. Enjoy these with a cup of joe or ice cold milk. I promise your tummy will be happy!

The Pearl's beautiful mix of historic architecture and modern design creates the perfect backdrop, and there's no better spot to grab a table, sip a coffee, and enjoy some of the best people-watching in the city. The food never disappoints. The Quiche Lorraine is consistently outstanding! Rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned, with a buttery, flaky crust that somehow manages to be both delicate and substantial. And then there are the macarons. Bakery Lorraine has one of the best selections around, with flavors that range from timeless classics to fun seasonal creations. Each one has that perfect crisp shell with a soft, chewy center, and every flavor tastes intentional rather than overly sweet.

All of the bakery items looked so tempting, but I ended up trying three macarons. They were very good. The filling was more of a light cream, which I actually enjoyed more than a typical jammy filling. The Earl Grey flavor was my favorite! I also had their matcha latte, which was pretty much a standard matcha with agave. The only downside is that food items are a bit on the pricey side, and they're definitely best eaten fresh because the croissant can get hard. Still, a lovely spot to check out if you're in the area!
