I was extremely disappointed with the catering experience. Despite multiple detailed conversations, emails, and texts outlining my expectations and how extremely important my son's graduation was to me, the service did not meet the standard that was promised. The food presentation was poor, the menu was not delivered as agreed, and an inappropriate remark was made by one of her staff members to my 15-year-old son, and JC herself made several inappropriate remarks to multiple members of my family, which was completely unacceptable and made our guests uncomfortable. When I brought these concerns to her attention, instead of taking accountability, she made excuses. I also offered her a drink as a courtesy, and she helped herself to an entire bottle then told me she owed me one. For the price I paid, I expected professionalism, quality, and respect. Unfortunately, I received none of that. I would not recommend this service under any circumstances. Chef Joyce was amazing! I had a girls weekend and we rented a big house in San Antonio. We went out for activities in the afternoon and on our arrival home there was a full appetizer menu prepared and ready to be served. Joyce let herself in the house per my instruction, prepared a delicious meal and two desserts, and cleaned up and left! In the pre planning stages Joyce reached out to me via phone call to introduce herself and brainstorm menus ideas. She was easy to communicate with the entire time, and I cannot day enough good things about her service. Although I don't have any experience with hiring caterers I thought her prices were excellent. JC Cooks catered my daughter's wedding. The food was delicious. Appetizers were shrimp, cheese ravioli and meatballs. Dinner included beef tenderloin, chicken parmesan, au gratin potatoes plus salad and vegetables. There was a lot of food left over so the portions are quite generous. You may want to contract for less people than you are actually expecting. Unfortunately, we live out of town so we were unable to take the leftovers with us since we had no way to store them in our hotel room. She accommodated all our requests, including searching out a special food item that I never would have been able to locate while in town. I got two consecutive nights catered by Joyce for a 15 person Texas hunting party. Both of our dinners were served buffet style, like we requested and everything turned out perfect. Ingredients were super fresh and each night had something completely different and unique. The entire crew was very happy when we were surprised with a local beer charcuterie for all of us to taste. A beautiful dinner for 30+ guests. Joyce and Jane arrived a little late with a meal ready to prepare for the celebration of my milestone birthday. They did use the help of my guest, who was a willing participant to help serve the salad. The main entree was a buffet style. They were fun and the food was great. I wanted a fun and festive rehearsal dinner for my sons night before. Joyce delivered! We had 85 people and didn't want BBQ or Mexican food which is the norm for that amount of people.
