Three hours long with a brief stop in the middle for a cup of tea (or a beer). Lots of walking, lots of talking, and lots of Dublin to see. I think that I was quite lucky to have John as the tour guide today as he's got a good history here in Dublin and is even a Trinity College graduate. That was quite helpful as he pointed out the various sites and things to see as we walked around. Dublin Castle, Dubb Linn Garden, the famous Forty Steps, Temple Bar and more. Very nice. My *only* complaint is that the tour group was massive. Usually they break it down into smaller groups of 25 or 30. We had 50 at the start. That's too many.

We took the Irish Highlights tour and we were very pleased. It showed us an excellent summary of Ireland and the some of the most popular sites. Our tour director, Liam Hogan, was the best, and with him we got 5 star service. The hotels were very comfortable and accommodating and the food was very good. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because when my friend called the customer service number, she sometimes got rude associates, and they gave her some incorrect information. The cost of the tour was less than I've paid for others, so I thought the value was very good.

On the way, we had some bus trouble, which was unfortunate, but I will certainly not blame that on Irish Day Tours. In fact, I want to give them praise for the driver's attentiveness, making sure the passengers were safe, and the company being expedient in getting a new bus out to accommodate the rest of the tour. The Cliffs of Moher are one of the most beautiful sights I have ever laid my eyes on and we were blessed with great weather on this particular day. Sunny and not too windy (our visit was at the end of February but not sure how typical this is for that time of year). I believe we were allotted 1.5-2 hours at the Cliffs which we enjoyed every minute of. The stop in Doolin for lunch was charming and I was impressed with how quickly they were able to serve us. Unfortunately, we were not able to experience Galway on our tour due to the technical difficulties but I appreciate them being mindful of the schedule. I want to give particular praise to our driver and guide Kevin, who was absolutely fantastic in not only getting us there and back safely but is full of fascinating information on Ireland's history. As we continued to learn about Ireland over the course of the rest of our trip, I found myself wanting to ask Kevin his opinion on many topics. Thank you Kevin and IDT!

He sang a song or 2 along the way but he couldn't answer any of the questions asked and barely spoke. He dropped us at stops going in blindly. He was an older gentleman, so I understand the low energy but perhaps time to hang up his hat. As first timers to Ireland, I chose the Dark Hedges/Giants Causeway/Belfast tour because I was infatuated by photos of the Dark Hedges I saw online. I had no idea it looked NOTHING like it. It was really a waste of a stop. Giants Causeway was nice.. great photo op. It's a long walk downhill, then back up. Luckily, there was a bus that operates both ways for £1 (tap cards accepted ). We heard there was opihi in Belfast and found some along the way (we're from Hawaii). Super windy that day so we were getting flown all over the rocks. Only stop on the tour that was worth it. Next stop, Belfast City Centre. The tour guy dropped us off near City Hall with absolutely no direction. He told us about a mall nearby, but that's it. Anything worth seeing was already closed. I really wished he would've gave us more recommendations about what to do, where to eat, or anything worth seeing in the short amount of time we had there. After walking around City Hall, we walked to the mall to use the bathroom, stopped at a souvenir shop, then headed back. Total waste of time, again. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND! Sadiy, I purchased the tickets for this tour after the price had gone up about €10 from their 2025 prices. Tour was also supposed to end at 8pm but we got back by 7pm because he kept rushing us. Leaving early from stops. Felt rushed the whole time. I feel it was a total waste of money that could've been used elsewhere.

Out of my 5 Irish tours, this was by far my favorite. This is the perfect little trip just outside Dublin. Be prepared to have the group split up between horseback riding, hiking, and another short activity. We participated in horseback through Killigar Stables and had a great time. We made a lunch stop in a little town at Poppy's Country Kitchen.

The bus was very comfortable and ample time was given at each location to explore the grounds. All in all it was a very affordable tour with beautiful views of Wicklow Mountains National Park, Glendalough falls, Guinness Lake and Sally Gap.

To start, I booked my tour via Expedia which ended up costing just over $25 for a single ticket. I ended up taking an Uber to the dock from my hotel in city center which set me back about 30 EUR (but you can easily take the train to Howth for much less $$$). Howth is an incredibly charming seaside town with tons of shops and eateries too, so I made sure to grab lunch after my tour as well. Tours tend to fill up very quickly in the summer, but I guess not many others were willing to brave the November cold with me. I ended up with the entire boat to myself along with Brian my tour guide/captain, which was such a unique and incredible experience. Don't let the cold dissuade you! Brian is extremely knowledgeable on the history of the surrounding areas and wildlife which I really appreciated. He stopped to give me fun facts and tidbits throughout the tour, which was just over 40 minutes. If you are traveling in the more wintery months like me, definitely don't hesitate to book your tour, just bundle up (and maybe take a Dramamine if you get seasick). I was able to take in the most amazing views and snap some great photos. It was truly one of the highlights of my time in Dublin. Would HIGHLY recommend. 10/10 experience!

The scenery was breathtaking, and I appreciated having time to explore the Lower Lake. As a Deaf traveler, however, I have a few recommendations that would make the experience more accessible and less stressful. At Glendalough, it would have been very helpful to receive a printed walking map of the Lower Lake with the recommended route, estimated walking times, key landmarks, and the exact bus departure time clearly marked. Having this information in a visual format would have allowed me to explore with greater confidence without worrying about getting lost or missing the return bus. I also learned only after the tour that it was imperative to return to the bus on time because of government regulations governing the driver's schedule. Since I did not have access to the driver's spoken announcements, I was unaware of how critical the return time was. Learning this only after the tour caused unnecessary stress and anxiety during my visit. Overall, I greatly appreciated the warm hospitality and the bus driver/tour guide's wonderful sense of humor. However, for the price I paid, I did not receive an experience that was equitable to that of hearing travelers. Hearing passengers had continuous access to the driver's commentary, safety information, schedule updates, and important instructions, while I did not. With a few simple accessibility improvements--such as providing visual pickup and drop-off instructions in advance, offering real-time speech-to-text captioning for all onboard announcements, supplying printed maps and itineraries at each stop, and reserving front-row seating for Deaf passengers--this tour could provide a truly equitable and inclusive experience for Deaf travelers.
